IS IT EVEN POSSIBLE TO DOWNGRADE FROM Marshmallow to 5.1 ??
I forgot my google account. I tried to bypass google account by flashing my S6 edge+ to Marshmallow from 5.1. And it made the problem worse. Now i don't see any way to bypass the google account on my s6 edge+.
I don't even see any way to downgrade back to 5.1 so that i can bypass google account. i had no idea what i was doing. Anyone could help me !!! Please
when i try to get back to 5.1 from Marshmallow, i get this error on Odin.
I think it is because of Reactivation lock. It is not allowing to downgrade.

Soft-bricked my phone by installing a bootloader while my bootloader was locked and now I have the "unauthorized software" screen on bootup. I read that I should Odin back to stock and an following section 1b of this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2024207
The rooted stock rom works flawlessly and I can reflash that an infinite amount of times without fail. Both stock roms however give me "NAND Write error". Yes I'm following the steps correctly.

What was the first thing you tried to flash?
Also, what version of stock where you on when you tried to flash that?

I have a Verizon I605 phone and was on 4.1.1, the rom that works with odin is 4.1.1 stock with root.
I tried 4.1.1 and 4.1.2 stock but both get NAND Write Fail.

Let me rephrase. You said in your first post you were trying to install a bootloader and softbricked your phone. What was the bootloader you were trying to flash?

After I successfully rooted my phone I downloaded the Rom Manager app and there was a download I think ClockworkMod, I don't quite remember but I'm pretty sure it was a bootloader. I never unlock my bootloader after I rooted and whatever I had installed triggered the Verizon lock because after I installed it successfully through the app I restarted my phone to test to see if it worked and I got the "Unauthorized Software Detected" screen.
And that's how I caused the soft-brick on my phone.

This thread describes a similar issue.
The user tried flashing the stock firmware through Odin; it bricked the phone.
If you read through it you will see how the issue was resolved.
Thanks , but its for G925F version ? what do I need to do since its not the same version?
Now that is another conundrum I wasn't prepared for. I know that half of the tutorial on that thread is compatible with your phone; half is exclusive to G925F.

I found another thread that explains how to troubleshoot a failed Odin attempt.
It is written for the Galaxy S2, but sounds generalized for all Samsung Galaxies.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/general/guide-t2345831
If you have access to download mode, you're ok but in order to reduce to a minimum the things that might go wrong, you should:
1- Use odin 3.10.6
2- verify the integrity of the firmware downloaded on sammobile. It should be roughly 3,402,561 kb in size
3- make sure you have Samsung Android drivers installed
4- If all above fails, switch USB cable, and then USB port
If you still have an issue, try downloading the odin flashable TWRP and try to flash it, if it passes, try wiping everything on the phone in TWRP and try the process again
As a last resort, you can try to see if KIES emergency firmware installation will work. If after doing all this you're not back up and running, you're screwed but i doubt you will have failed all of the above.
at first.. you need a custom kernel to root 5.1.1 because of the new system write protection..the second i think you are on reactivation look..look in my twrp thread for more
You got error on sboot.bin due to your flashing bootloader version lower than your device bootloader try to get the latest firmware or flash a custom firmware

I turn to the all might all knowing internet for answers
I have a galaxy s5 device that i bought in israel
under about device it says that the Model is SM-G900W8
the rom is a custom one 4.4.2 eyal mobile
This is how i unknowingly bought it from the store
Now normally i wouldnt mess around with roms and odin and whatnot but this phone has a problem
sometimes after i update an app(be it Youtube, potfarm, several apps altogether) the phone goes bat**** crazy and popping out the error message "The process com.google.process.gapps has stopped" and i have a hard time fixing it
so i wanted to install an original (not custom) rom from sammobile
Now again, iam new to all of it(iam a pro at IOS but it was time to upgrade my iphone 4) so i read some manuals and did the following
downloaded the file named "G900FXXU1BPA2_G900FOJK1BPA1_G900FXXU1BOK1_HOME.tar.md5" from sammobile
this file is supposed to work on SM-G900F which is used in israel(this file is "customized" for my carrier Orange)
downloaded odin
but before i did anything i've shutdown my device, and under the battery the model name is "SM-G900T"
So the rom thinks its from canada (SM-G900W8) while in fact its SM-G900T T-mobile
Iam at a loss here
should i install the SM-G900F which is best suited for my country? or should i install the SM-G900T which is from what i've read so far a locked rom and my sim card will probably wont work on it... @[email protected]
and how does canada fits into all of this???
i did thought to myself Ohhhh what the hell and tried to install the file from sammobile which is suited for G900F
i worked according to a site that showed how to install a rom
rebooted the phone in download mode
noticed that "qualcomm secureboot enable (csb)" - i have no idea what that means
ran the odin and it gave me this error

and on the phone it showed SECURE CHECK FAIL : aboot
i've tried two versions of odin, 3.04 and 3.09 in admin privileges
the .09 gave a similar error
i think that it cant be due to the bootloader being downgraded because the current rom is 4.4.2 eyal mobile
and iam trying to install a 5.0 rom
I hope i gave enough info
Thanks in advance for all the helpers out there
Bump
I stupidly upgraded last night and wasn't completely ready to but did it anyway and I want to go back. I have G925T - T mobile S6 EDGE.
I keep trying to flash the stock rom via Odin and it keeps failing with a binary error. I know I have the correct stock firmware "G925TUVU1AOCG". Tried it while rooted, using smartswitch to put back stock 6.01 and nothing works any suggestions?

Anybody???
AFAIK if you updated the bootloader, it will not allow you to downgrade the bootloader again.
Because the stock firmware includes a new bootloader, ODIN tries to flash it, fails and aborts.
Flash a custom ROM instead, if you want to get Android 5 back again.
I attempted to root my phone through Odin pushing superuser and twrp onto it as tutorials told me to do, and my phone literally goes to the boot logo and then stops. I have tried a million times to flash a stock rom back onto it but it won't push through either Odin or TWRP without error messages. It lets me flash a cyanogenmod rom through TWRP but the screen just goes back when I boot it up. Is my phone done for? Can I fix this somehow?
If you aren't able to reflash the phone with Odin, most likely, you aren't using the correct firmware. Please post your model number, the name of the file you are using, which version of Odin, and what the error you are getting is.

I have tried using both Odin3_v3.10.6 and Odin3 v3.12.3. The files I have attempted to flash are XSG-J700HXXU2BPF9-20160629164434, CAU-J700HXXU1APA3-20160106083224, SM-J700H_J700HXXU1AOK5_J700HOLB1AOK1_5.1.1-MYM, and J700FXXU1AOL2_J700FODD1AOL1_INS_(by_firmwarefile.com).
