yes and its not working

This thread describes a similar issue.
The user tried flashing the stock firmware through Odin; it bricked the phone.
If you read through it you will see how the issue was resolved.

Thanks , but its for G925F version ? what do I need to do since its not the same version?

Now that is another conundrum I wasn't prepared for. I know that half of the tutorial on that thread is compatible with your phone; half is exclusive to G925F.

I found another thread that explains how to troubleshoot a failed Odin attempt.
It is written for the Galaxy S2, but sounds generalized for all Samsung Galaxies.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/general/guide-t2345831

If you have access to download mode, you're ok but in order to reduce to a minimum the things that might go wrong, you should:
1- Use odin 3.10.6
2- verify the integrity of the firmware downloaded on sammobile. It should be roughly 3,402,561 kb in size
3- make sure you have Samsung Android drivers installed
4- If all above fails, switch USB cable, and then USB port
If you still have an issue, try downloading the odin flashable TWRP and try to flash it, if it passes, try wiping everything on the phone in TWRP and try the process again
As a last resort, you can try to see if KIES emergency firmware installation will work. If after doing all this you're not back up and running, you're screwed but i doubt you will have failed all of the above.

at first.. you need a custom kernel to root 5.1.1 because of the new system write protection..the second i think you are on reactivation look..look in my twrp thread for more

You got error on sboot.bin due to your flashing bootloader version lower than your device bootloader try to get the latest firmware or flash a custom firmware

[Q] Odin fails at modem.bin

Hi,
I'm trying to flash another firmware for my GIalaxy Note 10.1 N8000. I have read all tutorials etc. and prepared all according to it.
I was able to succesfully root to Clockwork Recovery so i though flashing another firmware to turn the Note into a European one instead of Chinese would be easy too. WRONG!!
Every time i want to flash with Odin it fails in the beginning of the process, see below:
Is there anyone who could comment me on what to do? I was able to recover from the failed flash attempt but i really want to flash another firmware from Europe for this Chinese version.

I tried already two different Firmwares but both seem to fail at the same point. I only installed the USB drivers not KIES so i guess it is not the reason.
Any help what is going wrong or what i should try to do?
Thanks a lot far any help.
Dave
Even it is a generic question you might get an answer if you post it in the correct forum.
You are here in the Galaxy Tab 10.1 P7500/7501/7510/7511 forum! This is not for Galaxy Note 10.1 N8000.

[Q] Bricked Samsung Galaxy SII Plus I9105P

Hi to all! First of all, I am sorry if I put my problem in wrong forum. I'm new here...
I was trying to install Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 firmware (I9105PXXUBMI3_I9105POXXBMJ1_I9105PXXUBMI1_HOME.tar.md5) on my Galaxy SII Plus via Odin_v3.09. Unfortunately, I put firmware file in field BL (in previous versions of Odin it was Bootloader) instead of AP. Odin finishes with status FAIL. Complete log is below:

After that, phone is stuck in Download mode. I can't restart it, turn it off or boot it in recovery mode. All I can do is to boot it in download mode again or I get message "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again" (which, by the way, doesn't work because it Kies cannot see the phone in this state).
Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks guys!

Getting this kind of log from odin. note this is copy from another thread, otherwise same but buildnumber is different..
I can't even flash twrp/philz recovery. without getting some error, PIT related.
I can't access recovery by anymeans as it wil boot up to that ''smart switch blablabla'' and pc will say it is not supported etc.
I only can access download-mode.
I have tried flash stock 5.1.1 PIT but it makes no difference.
This is 32gb model. How deep i'm in brown?
Got this working!
First i used odin 3.10.7 -> all fails
Then tried 3.10.6 -> first try successfully only that hidden.img was failed but i extracted from firmware and and flashed it after that.
Hope this helps someone.
if you had used smart switch on your pc, it was a lot easier............:good:

When I downloaded smart switch I got a side by side error. This happened on 2 different computers. I don't know how to fix it. I also tried using kies but I'm not sure how to get the s/n or imei.

sboot.bin fail is the bootloader is older than your current one. Flash another firmware with a newer bootloader.
If you try smart switch you must fully close odin and phone still needs to be in download mode to do the emergency firmware recovery
