[Q] Bricked Samsung Galaxy SII Plus I9105P - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi to all! First of all, I am sorry if I put my problem in wrong forum. I'm new here...
I was trying to install Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 firmware (I9105PXXUBMI3_I9105POXXBMJ1_I9105PXXUBMI1_HOME.tar.md5) on my Galaxy SII Plus via Odin_v3.09. Unfortunately, I put firmware file in field BL (in previous versions of Odin it was Bootloader) instead of AP. Odin finishes with status FAIL. Complete log is below:

After that, phone is stuck in Download mode. I can't restart it, turn it off or boot it in recovery mode. All I can do is to boot it in download mode again or I get message "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again" (which, by the way, doesn't work because it Kies cannot see the phone in this state).
Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks guys!

Hello there!
I am knew to the android stuff, but I have flashed a new rom to my Galaxy Ace S5839i and now in the log screen appears S5830i. But it works so it's good for now.
Answering to your question I got that error too, I've downloaded a new Odin and a new rom to flash (like I said, know Appears S5830i on log screen) and it worked.
I know it's not much of an answer but I'm just trying to help, I wish you can sort it out.
All the best to you.

Advanced search Hopper8's threads to find his 'Odin doesn't flash successfully' thread. There's a bunch of stuff you can try in there.
The only way you're fixing this is if you get the phone to successfully take an Odin flash, unless you want to take it to a service centre where they'll flash the most recent firmware they have to the phone.
