Hello, so recently I bought my first samsung device and tried to root my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and I was a complete newbie in doing this so then my device keeps saying Recovery Is not Sendroid Enforcing on the start up screen. I Live in Australia and am currently with the carrier Vodafone.
Help PLease
So I tried doing a stock firmware update with a .tar I found somewhere that said it was for the SM-G925I Vodafone Australia so I downloaded I go on Odin Tick Auto Reboot and F. Reset time i then tick AP and select the .tar file it takes a while to check the file then it says leave cs I connect my phone to my pc I then press start and get fail. It says then on my phone SW REV. CHECK FAIL. DEVICE: 3, BINARY: 1

Hello all,
I rooted my galaxy s3 and all went fine, then the battery died (battery is no longer in use) so i bought a new one and all was well, upon flashing stock rom, the write failed.
When booting the phone up it says: "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again.

Advanced search Hopper8's threads to find his 'Odin doesn't flash successfully' thread. There's a bunch of stuff you can try in there.
The only way you're fixing this is if you get the phone to successfully take an Odin flash, unless you want to take it to a service centre where they'll flash the most recent firmware they have to the phone.
Hi to all! First of all, I am sorry if I put my problem in wrong forum. I'm new here...
I was trying to install Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 firmware (I9105PXXUBMI3_I9105POXXBMJ1_I9105PXXUBMI1_HOME.tar.md5) on my Galaxy SII Plus via Odin_v3.09. Unfortunately, I put firmware file in field BL (in previous versions of Odin it was Bootloader) instead of AP. Odin finishes with status FAIL. Complete log is below:

After that, phone is stuck in Download mode. I can't restart it, turn it off or boot it in recovery mode. All I can do is to boot it in download mode again or I get message "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again" (which, by the way, doesn't work because it Kies cannot see the phone in this state).
Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks guys!
I really could use some help. I've been doing this for over five years and have never run into a problem like this. My dad was having some problems with his note 2 (Verizon) so he ask me to do a factory reset and either root it or put cyanogen on it. I tried using the new cyanogen installer but it said that SCH-I605 isn't supported. So I figured "whatever I'll just root it!" Well I went to root it using"NoYouVerizon-Note2" and it got halfway thru before it got stuck. I let it sit for few hours but nothing happened. So I unplug the phone and rebooted it. Then I got: "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again". Now at this point I just want to get my dad's phone working again so I tried everything I can possibly think of. I downloaded Kies (which all the forums promise will fix it). But Kies says that it doesn't support the SCH-I605 Note 2. I tried it on two different computers (one Windows and one Mac) and I even tried older versions of Kies. Now forums I've read have said that if you cant use Kies then Odin will 100% fix it. I have Odin 3.09 and the bright side is that it sees the phone and I'm able to get the phone in download mode. But everything I try to flash fails. I tried flashing a recovery and it failed. So I tried flashing two different stock roms (from stockroms.net) and both failed. They'd get to the very end of flashing and fail. I've read every forum I can find and tried everything I can think of for the past two days. But no luck. I though I'd ask and see if anyone else had any ideas because my dad needs this phone for work. I know that since Odin can see it and I can get it in download mode there has to be some way to force feed the OS down its throat but so far, no luck. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I've been trying to root my galaxy s8 using Odin3 (v3.12) and CF-Auto-Root and I keep getting the same error. Odin is being run as administrator, I tried switching the usb port on my laptop, USB debugging on the phone is on. I couldn't find "OEM Unlock" in settings, I don't know if it's enabled, and if it is, how to disable it. Odin would get to a certain point in the process and the fail and then a bubble with red text appears on my phone saying "SECURE CHECK FAIL : recovery".

If anyone knows what I'm doing wrong or what I can do, please keep the explanations simple, I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to these types of things.
Same problem.

The phone's security probably doesn't allow it... probably the version this method worked for was a lower security version.
