Anyone tried this on the p9000? (Is it just for Samsungs?)

I got a replacement Tab from sony and I'm having trouble rooting it with the updated firmware. Seems the only real way to do it is to have a custom recovery installed, however I am having trouble with that. When I try installing a recovery through fastboot flash command I get an error FAILED: Remote: Command not Allowed.
The installer version of XZDual just hangs at install.
Has anyone else on Verizon tab found any other ways of rooting after the latest update?

You have to downgrade firmware off 4.4.4 and root,
Got it working. I didn't know I had to have the unknown sources checked. Also I didn't realize I was plugged into a 3.0 port in the back of my PC, so that didn't help. Thanks for the help.
I have a Verizon Z2 LTE SGP561 with the latest update of 4.4.4 and i managed successfully to Root it with the latest KingRoot apk.
It was very easy - just download the KingRoot apk to your device , run it from the device and it will do the work.
After it will complete you will have KingRoot user which is the superuser app for permission, no need to install SuperUser of SuperSU.
I checked with root-checker to verify and indeed it was rooted.
even though the bootloader is locked you are rooted.
I managed to remove all Verizon bloatware apps.
You can find the latest KingRoot apk in the following link:

Thanks, I'll try this if I get another replacement device. This one has a dead pixel in it.
So, yesterday I rooted my LG G3 (ZVE version) and then installed TWRP and then flashed Xposed. Everything seemed fine but after rebooting, I got the dreaded "Security Error". Due to an excellent walkthrough here on XDA, I was able to fix it (at 2 in the morning.....grrrrr) and now I am back at having a rooted ZVE version but with no TWRP or Xposed.
So, can I just temporarily boot into TWRP (fastboot boot twrp.img) and then use that to flash Xposed? If so, which version of Xposed do I flash for this phone? Will that avoid the "Security Error" screen?
Basically, I just need help getting Xposed installed. I don't necessarily need (or really want) to permanently install TWRP (although if I have to I could)...just interested in getting Xposed installed.
Thanks!
No help on this? Is it not possible (or just too convuluted)?

this might not help you but when I rooted my phone i got xposed installed with twrp but that was on zv4. I unrooted my phone cause i was hoping sprint would released mm so i dont know how it works on zve
I tried a pretty regular method of installing TWRP and then Xposed, but I had that security error which was a huge pain to have to fix....hopefully somebody chimes in.
The thing is I try to flash Xposed from TWRP and right after flashing it says "successful" and it doesn't appear any failure to me and it reboots all right, but, when the phone re-initiates the app "Xposed" isn't there and doesn't seem to be installed... I Even check it on "Apps" to see if it's there but it doesn't appear.
Any idea on how to fix this? Have anyone had the same problem?
I have a Exynos S7 - SM-G930F
Also, that isn't the first problem I had with TWRP... I also couldn't root my phone via TWRP img tar... I tried with everything, the only root method that worked was with CF Auto root.
Hi all,
Has someone seen before a "Nocheck Recovery" for RNE-Phones? Or has someone tried to build it?
It might be a whole solution for update processes.
Is there Nocheck Recovery for mate10 pro to install pie
Hello, I was trying to install the unofficial Oreo ROMs, but i was unable due to "Error 7" on TWRP. As far as i know this error happens when your device is not the one that the ROM was made for. But i got the same error while trying to install LineageOS and XenonHD. Gonna try RR, but does anyone else experienced this error? Any ideas of how to fix it?
Thanks.
Solved, just had to reflash TWRP.
