Here is a spin off I made of the circle icons for the vibrant! These can be flashed in clockwork recovery. Huge thanks goes out to Fightspit for the original code that makes this work, and to zimphishmonger for his work/help with the original port of the circle icons... oh yeah I borrowed zimphishmonger's warning message below too because it was way better than mine. Sorry about the plagerism lol. All the icons in this one were done by me (took forever). Enjoy!!!
To Install:
Put zip on your sd and boot into clockwork recovery and "flash zip from sd"
To revert to stock from any of my icon packs download the "StockBatteryIconVibrant.zip" from the OP and flash with clockwork.
*Update* I have added my Gimp source files if anyone wants to modify my icons more, that should make it easier.
*Update* Added Orb Icons (2nd Post)
*Update 8-21-10* Added Moon Phase Icons (3rd Post)
WARNING: ALWAYS make a nandroid backup prior to installing any modification, including this one. You are making the decision to install this on your own, and I am not responsible for anything nuclear that may happen to your device.
Color Change Orb Battery Icons made by me.
Flash the same way as above in the OP. Enjoy!!

To go along with the Galaxy theme, I made some "Moon Phase" battery icons. I hope you enjoy these ones because they took a long time to make. Flash with clockwork the same way as the previous icon packs.
*Update* Added a theme (non-metamorph) with some icon changes (work in progress). I posted an undo for the theme below. Flash in clockwork also.

I am going to stick with the circles but these are well done as well. Highly recommend either these or the ones they were based on for anyone.
Yes, definitely looks very nice, good job. You know what, a triangle wouldn't be a bad idea as well.
I plan on doing a couple more color variations in the square first (that's what the placeholders are for) then triangles sound like a good plan.

Just flashed it. Nicely done!
Is there a way to undo this though? Not that I'm going to - but, in general, it's probably a good idea to be able to undo any modification.
Updated the OP with an undo.

Sorry for the dumb question, but I'm completely new to the android world. I'm assuming you have to have metamorph installed to install this? Have to be rooted? I would LOVE to install this, but I'm unsure how to. I know with .apk, you just use the file manager and click the file, but I'm confused on how to do this one. Thanks.

You have to be rooted and have clockwork recovery. No metamorph is needed. Just flash with clockwork recovery.

Thanks for the quick reply! I have already rooted, and I already have clockwork recovery installed, (and of course a backup made). Now, you say flash with clockwork recovery. I'm assuming you mean powering up with both volume up and down and boot into the recovery console (like I did when making a backup). So, another question. That file has several folders/files in it. I see the framework-res.apk file. So, I'm assuming I put that file on the main memory, and then boot up into the clockwork recovery console (using vol up/down power), and then select something from the choices offered??? I thought you just ran .apk files from file explorer and that installed them? I'm sorry for so many questions, and I've been doing a ton of reading. Android is so much different from Windows Mobile. (Thank GOD, and android rocks)

You put the whole zip file in the root (not in a folder) of your internal memory (not your removable sd) then yes boot up into clockwork recovery (where you made the backup) and click "install zip from sd" then click "choose zip from sd" and select the zip and it will flash.

Anytime. Purple is my fav also, and I put it toward the 85-100 because I generally keep my phone pretty charged up.
Updated with some different icons.
So, I flashed this, and when my phone boots up afterward, I get an error that says something like "android-phone crashed, use #09990# to get log" (currently nandroiding back, so I can't get exactly what it was) then the phone just goes black. I did do a restore with Odin some time ago using the stock stuff given in the FAQ in the general section, and I've noticed this was slightly different from stock. Might that be the problem? I haven't seen anyone else talk about this particular issue in either one of the battery mod threads.
Not sure on that issue I am still on the original stock. I have not seen that before either. Which mod did you try to flash?
I actually fixed it, turns out the baseband I had was JE8 or some nonsense, flashed back to JFD and flashed Vibrant6, then the battery mod. Worked like a charm. Absolutely love it!
Great! Glad to hear everything is working out well now.
Thanks to untermensh, as this is a port of his original mod for the Vibrant
This will add reboot, reboot into recovery, and reboot into download in the power menu.
As always, make a backup before flashing. You must be using a deodexed ROM for this to work. Also, this replaces framework-res.apk, so this will overwrite any themes you may have installed.
Update: The second attachment includes both the reboot and version A (circle) accurate battery mods. The third attachment has the reboot and version Z (sense style) accurate battery mods.
Love this MOD, but it replaces the puzzle unlock screen. Anyway to have both?
Create a new file in /data/local/ called "enable_glass_lock" using like Root Explorer.
Or the following adb command should do the same thing "adb touch /data/local/enable_glass_lock"
With that you don't even need to reboot, the puzzle lock will immediately be available and if ever you want to switch back to stock lock just remove the file.
Awesome. That worked. thanks!
Anyway?
Anyway to have this and keep the blackmod notification bar?
just reapply the theme after you flash this should do the trick

Actually this does not work and what it does is when you hold the power button the power menu doesnt even apear and the phone goes into a boot loop where the phone continually goes back to the boot animation. So if you want this cool power menu DO NOT FLASH A THEME AFTER OR ELSE YOU WILL HAVE TO DO A RESTORE.
.....
Worked perfectly for me....... installed the attached zip and like stated itit unthemed me. Then I just reflashed my theme.
works great, ive been missing this since i ditched my incredible...thanks a million
yea I found this out but only did that when I flashed the circle battery mod. I used the MM black mod with this and had no problems

Which theme did you install? Blackmod will install fine because it a metamorph, and it only patches your current framework-res.apk with different images. If it was a theme that is flashed through CWM, it will replace the entire framework-res.apk and cause issues.
The best bet for any theme is to ask its author to include the mod in their theme.

OHHHH thats why cause i was using the Remix Incognito/Minimal Matte theme which needs to be flashed throught clockwork so i guess thats why i was having issues thanx. Guess ill just use blackmod.
I tried it out for him last night, and it worked great. I flashed several kernels testing the 1600 kernel, and it was pretty handy. Then I flashed the extended backlight zip, and then it rebooted when I try to shut down. So, I re flashed the reboot.zip, and it works again. Re flashed the round battery zip, and it broke again. Flashed reboot.zip. Got the reboot menu back, but lost my round battery display.
I am pretty sure I still had round battery after I used it last night. It appears the extended backlight mod made it mad.
Edit: not a working idea -.-

For those who want to use different themes with the mod, what works is you can extract the framework-res.apk that comes from OP. Go into \res\drawable-hdpi\ and once in that folder, sort files by "date modified". You'll notice only three images modified on 10/20/1020. Simply copy those files over and put them in the \res\drawable-hdpi\ of your desired theme's framework-res.apk then reflash it.
The new files are download.png, recovery.png, and reboot.png so if you want to have your own images in the theme you're using, simply make the required .pngs and put them in the theme's \res\drawable-hdpi\ folder.

This won't work. There are several xml files that are edited too, which are services.jar, android.policy.jar, and some in resources.asrc. You could try to copy all of these into the theme. However, if the theme contains its own xml edits, doing so could overwrite them and lead to additional problems.

Ahh at first I thought those images were the only difference from the stock framework and all the edits were in the .jars. I forgot about resources.asrc, I was bummed out that I lost the accurate battery indicator and tried to hybridize my own theme, thought it was working, but as you state some problems arise so I second you that it won't work, looks it won't be that easy.

Hi,
simply reflash the ROM.
If it is a wype Rom, you will loose everything so make a backup with backup titanium.

I was tinking as you said but as it's a wype ROM, it's a bit anoying to re-do a backup, etc.
I'm going to tell to my friend that he must keep this theme or change to another one.
Maybe the developper of the Cognition ROM will post theme only? Cross my fingers

If your theme is a CWM update.zip.
In your theme, look (using 7 zip) witch files been modified :
systenUI.apk, framework-res.apk ... (in system/app and system/framework)
open with 7-zip your origial cognition ROM and find the corresponding files.
In your theme : delete this files and replace them with originals (drag and drop)
Then reflash your new CWM theme
Good idea, but I just tried that and it didn't work. I didn't have any error when restoring the original theme but no file habe been replaced.
In the zip file of the theme I previously installed, there is a folder "META-INF" with 3 files: CERT.RSA, CERT.SF, MANIFEST.MF.
I opened them and saw some lines looking like a checksum (called "SHA1-Digest").
Do you know what it is? I'm going to investigate further.
After some tries, I successfully restore the original theme!
I needed to sign my .zip.
Thanks to sicopat, designgears and Vertumus.
Hi guys,
Ive successfully managed to install Villain rom through CWM on my s2 and got it working.
Ive downloaded the following theme
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1382057
onto the phone but how do i go about installing onto the s2 whilst retaining the Villain rom
I cant seem to find a write up explaining this
I assume it is a zip file download. If so put it on your SD card, boot into recovery, wipe cache and dalvik cache then install zip from SD card, however MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP before you start as this has not been tested on VR and I suspect it will not work
hi killall, other than this theme and the clearglass theme, can you recommend a theme that works on vr 3.0? i can't find any

It is gone but i saw something in the logcat that says "theme mode = 3" and im guessing thats avengers theme. So im trying to disable it fully. I tried to flash a kernel that had avengers theme enabled too. But that didnt work. And the link for the disabler is in the op?
