Miui roms speaker sound is...tinny and using viper4android will almost not make any difference in this case.... I keep switching form CM to Miui back and forth because of this.
Viper on CM will give me real bass and awesome speaker quality in general and I really wanna get that on stock rom.
So, what files should I copy or what can it be done about it?

this happens because of cm libs and because left speaker on cm doesn't work so it comes out very loud from only right speaker but quality is better on MIUI ROM
i recommend using miui for best sound
but using one of these sound mods search xda
divine beats
extreme aural maximizer
XTREMEMUSIC (v.7.1 latest versions in both cm and miui give bootloop)

The single channel output should not be a problem on a mono speaker unless there is a problem with the sound input, for example a recording on left channel only will give me no sound at all but this is more preferable than tiny sound that gets even lower and/or disorted when you mess with the eq. Dolby stuff is BS on a mono speaker.
I guess is there a way to make stock rom sound louder from the driver itself, NOT preamplification stuff?
I had a Moto G 2014 (RIP) and the stock sound was sooo bad even with its stereo speakers. Faux sound +4 levels and heavy viper4android eq made it almost pleasant.

I seem to be having incredulous difficulty getting AC!D Audio to work on any ROM I throw at it, so I'm done searching and instead resorting to reaching out to the community specifically. Does anybody know of any sound mods that work well with AOSP JB ROMs? The sound quality is just absolutely terrible, but I want to keep the AOSP look and feel. Touchwiz or ShoStock3 seems to have the best audio drivers for my taste, but is there some way to modify the AOSP audio quality? I've tried flashing Siyah's kernel to boost the headphone's gain but even then the quality is just awful. I've tried PlayerPro, PowerAmp, nothing seems to compare to ShoStock3's audio quality. This is a big deal, as music is my life and it would be much appreciated if anyone could relate/help.
check
did you check your speakers ? if they are working fine you may go to shostock rom thread and ask if audio drivers can be ported or individually uploaded or you may try xperia multie themed rom i use it and its completely fast and customisable and every thing works with no lag or audio issue

I have been playing with various roms for s2, but the difference in sound quality found on stock is far more superior than the CM based roms.
specially in headphones. 7.1 preset equalizer setting works best on stock roms.
is it due to libs? or some other reason?
had any one faced the same difference?

So far, I am experiencing the exact opposite. The sound quality on Custom ROMs are way better. Check out Pimp My ROM, its a app that tunes everything on your phone including sound quality to the max.

You're both imagining it.
Ok,so i was searching through xda and i found these two mods for android phones.
Did anyone try them and if yes do they actually do something ?

I see that this one has been tested on our phone,i am on JB and the sound output from the speaker is really, really low. Will this increase it ?

Don't.
No offence to the owner of those mods, but build prop and init d tweaks are not universal.
You'll probably get a boot loop.
The real performance boost comes from codes optimization of Rom and kernel . Not some scripts

PureAudio™ Engine doesn't work at all, I tried it,sound quality actually degraded, haven't tried PurePerformances™X yet..
the thing about pure audio engine is that utilizes beats audio which is somehow i feel outdated or is faulty compared to the stock one we have....if you are a desire x user you are prone to bass oriented sound where as pure audio aims at clarity and balance of bass and treble two completly different stuff to be honest it works fab in my galaxy mini but desire x is a disaster ended up with boot loop and when it did manage to boot hell was the sound output...:silly::silly::silly: i would suggest you not flash it again no offense to OP of mod he has done a great job my mini sound fantabulous....
Hey guys I have a few questions in my mind that I would like to ask. Firstly what has been disturbing me is that AC!D Incredible bass is not working on CM or any AOSP ROM. I find it really sad because this has brought me the best sound experience ever with any 4.3 ROM with Boeffla kernel flashed.
The sound experience V4A brings me in CM is far less good than what I had experienced with V 4.3 Android ROM (Boeffla Kernel Flash) + AC!D Incredible Bass. So, right now I am finding it so hard to stay in a ROM, CM and AOSP have the performance I need but the music experience is less good in my Beats Earphone whereas the stock performance is so-so and the Music is simply "heavens".
.The problem I am facing is that when I flash the AC!D Incredible Bass in CM, no audio file is playable. It starts you cannot hear any sound and it automatically stops/pauses. This is really frustrating I've tried tons and tons of ROMs and tons of combinations. I really hope I can find a ROM perfect at my taste and needs.
Thank you,
Shiw
Help me with the best rom for audio quality(Hd 598)
He,
i have just unlocked the redmi note 3 snapdragon version.i use it with senn Hd 598.I am planning to install custom rom for better memory mangement. But i dont know about the audio quality of that roms as i have learnt of noise issue in those roms.
So suggest me the option that would give better audio quality
1)Stick to the miui and install viper
2)install cm roms(i dont know whether snapdragon audio + or viper works there)
my absolute prefernce is sound quality and then other things like of memory mangement.
Thanks.
