No sound is coming from the speaker or headsets. No ringing or music etc. Headsets work fine on other devices. I have tried various rom's even which I know were working fine earlier but problem persists in every Rom . Sound works while calling. Headsets are not even detected. I haven't touched the Kernel. What could be wrong?
Tried to blow and clean the headset port. Looks weird, but I have tried, and it works.

Hmm don't know what exactly happened. I think that's a hardware issue

Apply pressure on M logo on backside of phone.
This will solve your issue.
Believe me , a tight slap on speakers helps to fix it.Done this many a times.

Well when i found fix about this issue i laughed but this does works.
Just play a song, and apply pressure on the back side of speaker!
It sounds weird but that solved mine!

Phones are COMPLETELY different. The lock on your house on the front and backdoor both look the same but they have different keys to open them. Same thing here. You can't expect the xperia to do something just because the moto droid can.
I think they want to explain that bootloaders are being locked in different ways. So, it doesn't mean that if one bootloaders is hacked all bootloaders are hacked... That's why doors are an example, because if you've got a key it doesn't mean that you can open every door in the world!

When i using google voice search and voice input, the microphone can't detect any voice, even i speak very closed
even using skype, no sound at all
is that the microphone problem or the 4.0.3 version problem?
i forgot is that the same issue when i using 3.x
is anyone have the same problem with me?
i searched the internet but can't find a lot and no answer can give it to me.
i will try to call sony center tomorrow

I sent back to sony center, they said it may a microphone need to replace or fix. i tried the one in their shop, is no problem, must be mine one only

My microphne on the Sony S tablet is also intermittent, but, if I re-boot, it's fine for a while. All this happened (and more) since ICS update, NOT impressed at all.
Used to be a great machine, till the ICS update now, it's not..................... !

is the hardware problem, i 've got back my S, they replaced the brand new one for me:highfive:
Guys i had the same problem, but i solved mine by uninstalling PowerAMP music player. Don't know it was due to this software, but its removal solved my issues

Simple question.
Why default headphones that came with my desire x are not usable with my phone,it doesnt shot notification on top,and when i play music it plays trough speakers. Hheadphones work perfectly on my pc,nexus 7,and my friends devices,why the hell are they not working on my desire x?

On which ROM are you? We had a similar problem with HTC Aria using MIUI ROM for JB, maybe this can help them (as I don't have this phone anymore).

I use stock ROM withount root.
Can you try using a custom ROM of your choice? I never tried stock, but went straight onto using Skydragon first, now I'm on Sense Revolution R2 (JB). I never got problems with headphones...

It doesn't matter what Rom im using the audio is garbled where i cant understand when people talk. im currently using Carbon fibers rom.

Am update for the note 3 came out about a month after is release to fix the garbled noise issue. This should be a non issue unless u never took the update?

To what extend did you try out the Bluetooth Connectivity?
With my Moto Z with Stock-Rom or AOKP/LOS Bluetooth in general does work, but does not pair properly. When i connect to a Bluetooth speaker for example, my Moto Z does not stream any Audio to the device. Any suggestions?

I've been connecting to speakers, headphones and my car's Android Auto. Never a connection problem. Only minor bug is some (very rare) repeating.

With stock rom, the Bluetooth of my Z has problems only in calls, I can hear to the other people and the phone autoswitch the audio channel to phone speaker. I ask @ Motorola support and after 20 days they change the logical board, thats the only fix that they can. I think all the problems are due to bad quality hw component

I never unlock the bl, all the time my phone was 100% stock. I have the camera mod and any custom rom support it.

My BT stopped working I have done everything, nothing helped. They told me I have to change the Board. I live in Toronto Canada, but I bought my Z from abroad. I contacted Motorola in Canada they would not take responsibility because I bought it from outside of Canada. Now I'm stock with a useless Moto Z. if anybody can help me please let me know.
