Hello!
So i had my screen broken, it fall and it broke the power button. The phone was very hot with the little light in blue till it shutdown ( had only 10% battery hopefully). i replace the screen with a new one, and also the 'barebone'. My phone was in 6.0.1 twrp rooted. But after replacement, i reload the phone ( reactive) i start it but i notice my mod boot didnt appear and launch to '' app boost 1 of...) Then once its done, it never ever boot my phone, it freeze at starting app. i could load twrp and do a full restore, nothing change. i tried also hard reset, nothing again. i tried also with odin to load img, same error but now i loose twrp and phone after the logo ' samsung s6 edge screen' stay black with blue light flashing slowly.
i still didnt receive my back glass but i dont think its an issue right..?
Is my phone Soft/hard brick???? i really dont know what can i do.....Thanks for any answers!
i tried to cf autoroot with g925f file didnt work. i did with g920f and it pass. But at boot, it stay at "a abrir aplicacoes" ....i dont know why it is in spanich. it's a green menu when it optimize application before opening the OS. It's freezing there and i still dont have any picture bootsamsung.qmg after the logo samsung s6 edge menu when you start the phone.
I dont know what to do......

Hi,
###Feel free to skip this part:[For starters, i want to give a very brief introduction of myself, as a new member of this board. I'm a soon to be language teacher in Germany. I often choose Usernames with "Hank" in it, as i used to be a Turbonegro Fan in my Teens and still like'em. I got to know this forum from former Problems with my old phone, my Motorola MS. I know signed up due to problems my girlfriend has with her phone, i wasn't able to find solutions without asking som questions]#####
last night, my batterie died, so i charged it and then thought of turning on my Ace, nothing bad in mind...
But then it just stuck when the "Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830" Screen appeared.
So i started researching some Android/Samsung Forums and the first thing i tried is to "reset" it by pushing "Home + Power" Buttons simultaneously. Didn't work. Same Screen as mentioned above appears and stays.
The next thing i found was "Vol. Down + Home + Power" - now i got a screen that says "Downloading..." in little yellow letters. I was happy first but unfortunately nothing happend after that.
It's a new phone, so there's still waranty and i might have to send it to Samsung. Maybe someone here knows a method i might try where i wont lose the waranty.
But either way i'm curios how this might have happened!? I didn't try any flashing or modding, because it's my girlfriends phone and she's more than satisfied with it's functions!?
try to go to recovery and wipe everything
or flash cwm recovery and flash roms
or go to download mode the downloading signs
and use odin to flash stock firmware

thanks for your quick answer....
there's no way i can enter recovery mode. It's Power + Home for several seconds, isn't it?
Flashing sth leads to loss of warranty, right? I think that's too risky due to my knowledge...
Do you have an idea hwo this could have happened?
Obviously he on stock rom with stock kernel, maybe even no root
So I'm gonna suggest a simplest way.
Boot into recovery (hold home+power button simultaneously) and when it do go into recovery, just do reset to factory. I can't remember correctly what the exact menu because only got experience with stock recovery for a hour or so
Btw navigate up/down via volume up/down button and make selection with home button. Good luck

Yeah, i tried that, but I just can't enter recovery mode. It just starts to the "Samsung Galaxy Ace...) screen and freezes there, even if i start with the button-combination.
....desparate :-(

But Download Mode works for you . (Home + Power + Vol Down)
You're going to have to flash a firmware via ODIN .
Follow my newbie guide on how to flash something via ODIN .
Be sure to download a full package ROM
Herpderp Defy.
So do u still remember what android version and from what region the stock rom is? As u stated that u still can access download mode, just download the same firmware from sammobiles.com and flash it via Odin.

...but i've seen two different pic's that show DL-Mode. One looks like what i see on my phone: Black screen, yellow letters saying "Downloading....".
The other one is a black screen with white letters saying "MDL something something" this screen, i don't get on my phone!?
Is the first screen fine or is do i have to get to the second one!? (Because i don't)
Will the warranty get lost, when i do that?
the first screen black background with green yellowish downloading
is download mode

First one is correct
Herpderp Defy.
From what country and operator is your phone?
So we can suggest a rom for you to flash!
If you do this yor warranty will not be voided! (hopefully :b)
I wouldn't worry about the warranty too much.
It all sounds scary but when you've done it a couple of times you'll notice It's not so big of a thing.
Just always take your time and read up on things before you start doing stuff.
I've just got my phone a few days ago, and I'm new to Samsung.
After using "Samsung GS3 Int ToolKit" to root and flash insecure boot, I found that sometimes my device gets completely stuck!
It can be working one minute perfectly fine, and then the touch screen + soft buttons don't respond.
The previously used screen flashes above the lock screen, and then goes away
after playing with the power + home buttons.
After a while it comes back (I have to mess with the buttons) and if I use face unlock, it doesn't help since I can get in - but that's it. kinda hard to use the phone without touch.
What could you guys suggest as a fix? flash another ROM? another bootloader?
Oh, I forgot to say I'm using XXBLH1. any help would be appreciated...:good:
I had the same exact problem. I unrooted and sent it back to samsung service. They then saw the root counter in recovery
and told me my warranty is void and whatever i flashed is the cause of the problem.
They eventually flashed it back to stock and returned it to me , working again

So, Im rooted / ROMd on MDK w/ loki- Been fine since I got it, until yesterday....
Running HD ROM, old version, was working fine 1 minute, tried to check the time 20m later, and boom, BlackSOD. Nothing works except 1 little green pixel in the bottom right of the screen. All buttons work, however, without a screen I cannot see to get back into TWRP / Odin mode. I dont even know wtf happened....... I tried to get into it by memory of where the selections are, but alas, I cant.
Anybody have any ideas how to recover / if its possible to recover from this? Remember I have no working screen to see.....
Edit: Touch screen works, still no picture, just the 1 green pixel. ( when its booted up, power->swipe to unlock-> chime)

does odin pick it up if you boot in download mode you don't need the screen on to odin just do it blind
if odin doesn't pick it up then the phone is dead
Hey guys, let me just get straight to the problem i'm having yesterday my friend download an app on my phone called (KING ROOT)
he used it on his s3 and my brother used it on his s6 (not edge) and it worked smoothly for them.. however when he started to root my phone using this app it got to 71-75% and the phone went off and on and got stuck at the sumsung logo with these words on the top in red (KEANEL IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING)
now i can't go into odin mode i can't do nothing it just freezes like that until the battery turns off.. and when i press and hold the volume button with the home button it shuts down and in 1 or 2 seconds it goes back to the freezing logo screen with the RED words i mentioned.. an please note that my s6 edge is getting super hot so i'm placing it in front of my fan till the battery shuts down.
Please help ASAP my fellow andriod users.
I have sort of the same problem, I was able to do root my phone, but then I went into settings, then Unroot. After this process my phone started to restart by itself every couple of minutes. I turned it off and tried to turn it back on, then It was just stuck on the T-Mobile logo. Ive tried using Odin, but I get a Fail. I tried with Odin 3.10.7 and TTMB1AOCG_G925TUVU1AOCG_HOME.tar.md5 Please let me know If I am doing something wrong.

I honestly have no idea buddy..
because i searched the internet upside down and i didn't find any problem like mine..
So i went to a place where they fix phones.. and they told me there's still hope that we can fix your phone... he told me he'll continue the root and when i asked why did this happen he said probably a missing file !!
so the continuing of the root will hopefully fix it.. it will cost me 30$
so i advice you to do the same thing bro seek a professional. :good:
If your not comfortable doing it yourself then pay someone else. (And dont mess with your phone in the first place) did you check kingroot works with your phones' software version?
Otherwise try download mode holding power + home + vol down and emergency restore with smart switch.
Excuse me ? Are you giving me lessons here ? If you know what should be done then tell me if not don't talk at all... Plus if you actually read what i wrote you would know that download mode isn't available. Keep your comments to yourself man.
You can go into download mode by forcing the phone off by holding the power button and the home key for some seconds and immediately press the volume down button whiles the phone boots up automatically. This will take you to download mode
You guys just dont like to read what i wrote dont you ? I already said it... I can't go to download mode no matter what i do even pressing and holding the volume and the home button.

Every time you mention download mode you don't say about holding ALL 3 BUTTONS. If you can't get into download mode using all 3 buttons you are screwed.
Are you still having trouble for this? I can tell you step by step how to fix it?

I don't want to be rude, but are you sure you can't get into odin mode, because i also had this problem a few months ago, and i could not get into recovery mode, however getting into odin mode was no problem. For a samsung device this is: Holding the start button, volume down and power on button. When you get into odin mode you need to flash the stock firmware and everything will be as it is. It is important to check with these one click apps like kingo root before you root, and also I believe with android 5.1.1. it is not possible anymore to use these apps and therefore need to flash a custom kernel in order to root. Hope this helps.

You need to clear cache on play store app then retry it. Or alternatively look on apkmirror and redownload the play store from there. It could be that you need to update it. After you get playstore back go ahead and re install chrome and browser. Its a good idea to back up your app data to google drive or another storage then when your re install your apps all data is recovered.
Hello everyone in XDA forums ,
I don't really remember what exactly was the thing that I did in which I hard-bricked my Samsung Galaxy Ace (GT-S5830i), but it was a combo of rooting and then (OS)s installations... I rooted the phone successfully and as far as I remember I could even flash a KitKat firmware, but then it got bricked at some point after trying to flash some Cyanogenmod firmware [USING ROM MANAGER]... YES, I got to know that it's terrible to use ROM Manager for that purpose on the ACE but that was after I bricked my phone -_- (I still don't know why though; anyways...)
My smartphone is currently hard-bricked, meaning that I can't access download mode, recovery mode, or even fastboot mode; and I can't see a single thing on the screen (not even the Samsung Logo or the so-called "Yellow Triangle" , or even the Android Logo)... The only sign that my phone is still working (AND NOT AT ALL HARDWARE-DAMAGED) is the color of the screen which is (well you can say purple or kinda grey; also known as the background light/brightness)... I've tried the following:
1- All the normal button combos in all possible ways and conditions.
2- The (removing the battery, connecting the device to the PC/Laptop, clicking a button combo, and then inserting the battery while still holding the button combo) method.
3- I even tried the adb method, the SP Flash Tool method, and using a Jig.
So practically my main problem is that my phone can't even get to any mode and that it can't be recognized by any PC/Laptop not even after installing the drivers properly or changing the cables... If I just could get my Laptop to recognize it or even just get to the download mode without even having my Laptop to recognize it, then I'd be easily able to solve the whole problem.
P.S: PLEASE don't tell me that it's hardware-damaged or that I need to go to Samsung, cuz IT IS NOT HARDWARE-DAMAGED AT ALL and under the VERY SAME circumstances many people could unbrick their hard-bricked devices, and one of which is the Samsung Galaxy S3, just because they have an alternative method to boot (including the "booting from SD Card using a debrick image" method); and my warantee is void a VERY LONG time ago, since I bought the phone like 5 years ago.
Even if a software solution is still not known to the community it still is possible to unbrick my phone using a JTAG Repair device.
I really hope that somebody would be able to help me in solving this dilemma with a software method... Thank you anyways, and have a nice day / good night.
Similar brick here on my S5839i. I did something stupid and flashed everything including bootloader from a galaxy Y (S5360).
Now its not responding to any button combos,
When turned on I get a blank screen, then the camera LED blinks and the touch buttons light up and it stays on the blank screen.
If I can just get into download mode somehow it should all be fine.
My last hope now is to try a jig when I get my hands on one.
Also when plugged in, its recognized by windows as BCM21533-Thunderbird
Maybe anyone has been in a similar state and could help please?
Thanks

I HAVE THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM WITH MY GALAXY GRAND 2
Here is the problem...I BRICKED MY PHONE!!
I am not able to turn it on and my screen wont even show up!!!
I try pressing all the switches, tried to boot it to recovery mode, tried to normally boot it but NOTHING WORX!!!!!
"Its a SAMSUNG Phone Model Galaxy Grand2 SM-G7102"
what i did was i already had rooted my phone and already installed Cyanogenmod 12.1 and was working all fine until I thought of completely cleaning my device...
so i boot my phone to recovery mode, wiped dalvik's cache and cache partition and then clicked on wipe data/factory reset. The phone reseted and it showed the boot screen and then it showed optimizing apps and then it got suddenly stuck and switched OFF!!!!
BROTHER PLEASE HELP ME I AM IN NEED...I AM NOT RICH AND CAN'T AFFORD TO BUY A NEW PHONE. I ACTUALLY BROKE DOWN AND LITERALLY STARTED CRYING. I HOPE YOU CAN FIND A WAY TO STOP THE PAIN I AM FACING NOW. ?????
