Rooted Note 4 - Zerolemon Battery Fix? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone, I have read pages, upon pages, of people "trying" to find a solution about the 10,000mah zerolemon battery situation. Where the note 4 only recognizes the 1 cell 3250mah battery in it, and no matter what you do, the 10,000mah battery is always incorrect. I have read about rooted phones being able to change system files from the 3250 to the 10000 battery description. I have read that certain roms/kernals have fixed this issue. I have read many other things that some say worked and some say didn't.
I'm here because I have spent hours reading numerous threads and need help trying to find a solution. I just got my zerolemon for my rooted Verizon Note 4 today, and want to go ahead and do a battery fix to show accurate readings. Does anyone have a solution for me? Also, I have never used a custom rom or kernel before. Please help if you can. I appreciate it in advance.

You might want to look through this thread a bit (there's a kernel mentioned on post #1037 which might be of interest, take a look).

I am using galaxy s II. its the best android phone i have ever used so far but the problem is the battery draining. i can only use it 7-8 hours with normal use. please tell me some solution to increase the battery life..
Next question : how to decrease battery life ?
Seriously dude, there's so much threads about battery saver tips, do you know that ?
Try for example "setcpu" or lower brightness or use searchbar to look for more examples. It's not difficult to find solutions ;-)

I did exactly what I read about in the articles that I found on the interwebs using Google.
Read the battery threads in particular the better battery stats post .
Turn off everything that connects aim for 2 % overnight sleep battery drain .
Buy another battery as a spare .

[Q] What's casing my i777's battery level to drop off occasionally?

Attached is an image showing what I mean.
A few days ago I was taking pictures while listening to music, and the music app locked my phone up. The only way for me to unfreeze it was to pop my battery out. When I did, the battery plummeted to about 15% all the way from about 50%. I'm running the custom ROM GalaxyNexus. But this hasn't just happened to me on custom ROMs-- it happened a few times with the stock ROM, as well.
If anyone could offer some insight, that would be great.
EDIT: I should also mention that I have done some searches for this problem and found a few other threads, although I could never find one that had an actual solution.

If you had done some research you would have found your answer as there are many threads on this. It's the fuel gauge in the phone.

No biggie. I Google searched "i777 battery drop after reboot," then hit "more from XDA" to only get results from XDA threads. This is the absolute best way to find answers.

[Q] Battery problem

Hello guys i have a problem with my battery. It drains so fast and i dont know the reason.I noticed that chrome is using about 40-50% of the battery while my screen does use 36% and apps like facebook, youtube etc. about 2-3%.Whats going on?Can i fix this problem or i have to buy a new battery with higher mAh.I also found that calibrating my battery might solve the problem but havent tried it yet so i give this a try and let you know.Let me know what you think.
Depends on how long you've had the battery ?
P.S - You can't 'calibrate' a S2 battery. It's impossible. Ignore the crap on here/elsewhere saying you can.
Extra P.S - Which S2 variant are we talking about - I9100 ? (Ignore what I'd said about double posting, your other thread in General is sufficiently different, though you'd probably get more help if it was in Accessories).

I have the battery since i bought the s2 which means about 3 years.
About the calibration i dont know if it works or not i just said i found it as a solution on a search i had.
Yes its I9100.You are right about the double posting but i am new here and i dont know exactly in which thread to post so i did post on both.
Let me know what you think.I am using the phone too much if that helps and maybe the battery has come to an end and needs replacement.
Nah it's all good about the other thread, you're asking where to buy batteries so that's cool
3 yrs eh ? Getting anything beyond 18 mths is pretty good assuming you're charging it at least a little once per day (if you're doing a full charge/discharge you'd get less than that), and even if you're not doing that (say charging only every 2nd day), two years is pushing it.
You've done well to get 3 yrs out of it. I mean, you could get BetterBatteryStats & see if there's wakelocks/whatever causing drain that you might be able to reduce, but everything you've said points to a simple case of the battery being on the way out, so a replacement is probably the go.

Well then i feel better now I will get used to threads and all this stuff after being there for some time
Last year i think i over charged the battery because i used the phone too much and the battery was always drained.Sometimes twice a day!
I think needs replacement too.I will try betterbatterystats just to check where the massive drain comes from.
Anyway thanks for responding and helping me in a kind way greets!
No probs If you don't understand anything in the BBS logs, post your screenshots to the BBS thread, people who post there regularly should be able to help.

[Q] Need help to find the reason of drastic battery life reduction

Hello guys,
I'm quite new here and to Android and that's probably what's causing my difficulty of finding a solution for my problem, so I'm hoping you guys can help me.
So all started a few months ago, when my brother decided to give me his 2 year S2, I was quite satisfied because it's in great condition. After a few months of using it I decided to go on and try some roms dor the sake of my boredom of Samsung's rom and for my will to discover. The rom I tried was Slimkat, it worked pretty good and it's awesome to customize but it was killing ny battery in 8 hours with medium to low use, it was kinda crazy... So I decided to roll back and restore the stock rom, I was successful and it's the one I still have at the moment, but the battery problem remains... I've tried two different batteries and it's always the same and I've run out of solutions that I know.
tl;dr - my battery was fine before I started to play around with roms and after I restored the stock rom the problem remained. The battery itself isn't the problem because I've tried two others.
So I hope you can help me, if you need any other information, I'll be glad to add it.
Regards and thanks in advance
BetterBatteryStats; find the thread devoted to it on here & install it (or get it from Google Play), let it run for a day/whatever, and post the BBS logs to the BBS thread - people who post their regularly should be able to help you track down what's causing drain. You could post them to this thread, but with such little traffic in Q&A these days, you could be waiting a fair while for meaningful help (I.E help that's actually useful Vs people who don't know what they're talking about).

Unusual Nexus 9 Marsmallow Battery Drain 99013, 99023, 99033

I am running Android 6.0 Marshmallow on my Nexus 9 build number MRA58N. Device is not rooted but the bootloader has been unlocked and I am running everything on stock. Clean fresh install about 5 days ago. I did face some trouble trying to root my tablet at first (boot loop) but instead I formatted and just reflashed the firmware clean using (flash-all).
First few days, performance was below average, lag here and there but it was acceptable and it did go away after a day or so. Could be the tablet adjusting and syncing with the recently installed apps.
What I did find unusual though was the battery stats. It showed numbers (99013, 99023, 99033) processes which I am unfamiliar of. I tried googling it and searching on the xda forums about this but have not found any post on this. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is something wrong with my device? It could be the culprit to the overheating and battery drain.
(still trying to find out how to upload the screenshot, if anyone could help out with this, it would be much appreciated. PS: xda says that I have to make at least 10 posts before I can share external links, so I don't know how to make imageshack work here. Or I'll just make the 10 posts somehow.)

I've seen those numbers before, however not sure what they are either.
What type of battery are you seeing.
When I was on stock mra58n I was seeing around 4-5 hours screen on time and about 4-5 days overall time on. I thought that was pretty good. I only lose about 1-3% overnight so I could let it sit for quite awhile untouched and still have a charge.
I am now on PureNexus Android 6.0 ROM and seeing about the same but slightly better battery. I'm seeing 5.5-6 hours screen on time and 6-7 days overall time on.
This is with ElementalX kernel which I highly suggest.
How long have you had the tablet? I just got it on the HTC 40% of sale.
I recently have been having the same problem, as seen here: imgur DOTCOM /a/IMqFW, you can see the "99006" active, right now another has appeared with "99040". I saw these number a week or two ago. I've had my tablet since may or so. I posted on the reddit r/Nexus9 for help, someone suggested that it might be some sort of old application which left a few things behind when it was removed from the device. I don't really know what to think of this.
Hi,
I also observed a drastic battery drain and going to the "battery" section in settings, i found a weird "99040" thing with a black android robot icon, draining 16% of my battery.
I don't know how to remove this and I suspect this is malware or something related.
Does anyone know how I can remove that sh**** ???
Best regards.
