Help Authorizing ADB w/ A Broken Screen - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey xda--
Here's the story: my friend's phone has a broken screen, as in, the screen works, but touch doesn't. So I can see everything fine, but I can't tap on anything.
The ultimate goal is to get a screenshot of a certain thread of SMS messages. It's the only thing she cares about at the moment. I was thinking ADB would be perfect since I can just simulate screen taps, but my PC isn't authorized on her phone for ADB. USB Debugging is enabled, and her phone is actually rooted. But it was rooted by her brother and he lives in a different country.
We can get into her recovery (clockworkmod), but obviously there's no way from there to view SMS messages. Is there any way to simulate screen presses aside from using ADB? Or, is there any way at all to authorize ADB without being able to tap the screen? I can see the prompt come up to authorize my PC, but I just can't tap "Accept".

Galaxy S3 black screen after drop but still working

My partner recently dropped her SGS3 from about 2 feet onto the floor. It was in a rubber case (ZeroLemon battery case) but the screen is now black. It's not cracked at all and the digitizer still works fine and the phone rings and if you touch the screen in the right place you can answer calls etc.
For a few days prior to this there were occasional lines on the screen and I suspected a loose connection at the time. After the drop and the screen going black I took it apart and sure enough the ribbon cable to the screen had popped off. I have put the cable back on but the screen is still black. When turning the phone off and on, the backlight does flicker on for a split second but there is no graphics on the screen visible. Even booting into download or recovery mode nothing is visible on the screen.
It was running CWM recovery (I can't remember which version) and CyanogenMod 10 (unsure of the exact version) and we desperately need to access some data from the phone, particularly the contacts and text messages. Is there a way we can recover this or gain remote control of the phone from a computer at all? I've seen several posts about using the SDK and ADB to do this but USB debugging is disabled so this wouldn't be an option. I've also read that it's possible to get an adb shell to enable debugging from CWM but can't seem to find any clear instructions on how to do this, I've booted into CWM and tried the adb tools but it does not list the phone.
Can anyone advise why the screen wouldn't work after plugging it in again? Or is there any other way to control the phone from a computer without usb debugging being enabled? My partner is desperately trying to access her google account and this phone is the only device that's logged in and is her only hope to recover the account.

Vodafone Smart Prime 6 (vf-895n) broken touch screen - how to get my data?

So I broke my touchscreen in a way, that it wont respond to touch elswhere but in a tiny stripe at the upper edge of the screen (around 1 cm working). Otherwise, the device seems to be working just like before. My biggest concern is my data - contacts, call logs and messages. I could access the phone via google now (ok google commands) for a few hours, however, now it requests screen lock anytime I try to do any action. What am I asking for? A way to unlock the phone (I have a pin screen lock) so I could navigate via google now for everything I needor a way to access the phone via computer (I would need step by step guide what to do because I am complete newbie). I likely don't have usb debugging enabled, which is a problem i suppose. I would preffer one of the methods above, however I am open to any ideas how to access my phone/data.
Please excuse my english, it's not my native. I will be grateful for any help

Enabling USB debugging with pitch black, broken screen

Hey.
Short description: My Oneplus 3's LCD was destroyed to atoms. I'm trying to use Vysor to control the phone through my computer. I actually have USB debugging already enabled from developer options, but that is not enough, as the computer's MAC address needs to be "allowed" for debugging through a prompt that appears on my phone's notifications. Any idea how to do this?
A bit longer description of how I know that the MAC needs to be allowed through a prompt: The LCD broke during two days. First I saw partially what's on the screen, so I was able to enable USB debugging and install Vysor. It worked for these two days, but once a day I needed to allow my computer's MAC for USB debugging through the notifications of my Oneplus 3. Now I cannot do it anymore, as the screen has gone pitch black. Also, ADB says that the phone is offline / it cannot be debugged at the moment. I wish I knew the exact location of the prompt so I could just allow it, since the touch screen still works... There must be another way.
If the touchscreen still works you could just try to hit the button blindly, it's not like missing would be an issue, right?
I tried hitting the prompt blindly, but it's either not there or I already opened it and pressed "decline" which made it go away. :/

Broken Screen - Debugging Enabled, But Cannot Authorize

Hey Folks,
So I ran over my phone ;P...
Screen is cracked, blank, and doesn't respond to touch. Home button works.
I was able to use a blind keyboard to enable USB Debugging so I could mirror it to another device but I can't authorize my PC as the screen is broken. Any ways to get around this?
Thanks much!

If you can manage to get to recovery, hook it up to your computer and type this into the terminal:
Code:
cd ~/.android && adb push adbkey.pub /data/misc/adb/adb_keys
adb reboot
Hope it works
Well I used a combination of AirDroid and TeamViewer to get it working. Hardest part was getting the keyboard sequence to enabled usb debugging. AirDroid's Screenshot function worked really well to follow along with a keyboard but I need something that remote control the device via wifi to allow authorization and that's were TeamViewer came in. Now I guess i can do anything. As in go buy a new phone.
Hope this helps someone else!

Screen Broken need help to access the Data, Backing up and Reset

Hello folks, my display broke suddenly, cannot see anything except a line and some green flickering when display is on. I have most of the documents and everything stored on my SD card but the Whatsapp data is unfortunately not backed up. There are a few pictures and chat data that I would need to access from there.
The situation is like this - Display broke but the phone works also touch apparently works too since Double tap makes the display light up in green (cannot see anything), and double tapping again makes the screen off. There are notifications coming. USB charging works. Shows up on the PC but the MTP won't show anything since screen is locked. I rebooted the phone which was the mistake !! because now it asks for pattern. I cannot unlock this, tried blind so many times but since I disabled the vibration. It's hard to get the pattern. Fingerprint scanner works but it won't unlock with it (so it just vibrates saying need to use pattern on screen due to reboot, the usual behavior)
Phone specs and OS are in my sig - Stock OS, Rooted, TWRP.
Can anyone please help if there's any way to access the filesystem ? It would be great if there's a way for accessing the data. My other request would be, can I make a data backup of the ROM as is with LGUP ? then reset it all before sending to LG for a full repair as I like this phone a lot.
Thank you for your time.
boot to twrp and then plug it in on PC and browse the file there? if you cant go to recovery from power off, maybe go to fastboot first then do the command to go to recovery.
figure out how to cast the display on a tv? i think the usb port supports HDMI output so maybe plugging it to a tv would work.
