I'm back!!! (with a 6P on the way) - Nexus 6P General

Hopefully this thread is ok here in the general section. Mods, please let me know if not!
Let me start by saying that I know I've been very opinionated about the 6P, and my first experience wasn't a good one. But guess what, love me or hate me (I never intended anyone to hate me), I just ordered one from Swappa last night and it's on the way!
Long story short, I have had an AT&T Galaxy S7 Edge since my original 6P. Bottom line is it has started to slow down and I'm tired of slowdown and lag. With that being said, I ordered an OnePlus 3 last week and received it on Friday. While it is a great phone for the price, I was underwhelmed with the camera and screen, along with a couple software bugs.
I requested a RMA for my OnePlus 3 last night and ordered a 6P from Swappa. I know I've had my issues and said some bad things about the 6P in the past, but I figured I would give it another shot. I wanted stock or near stock Android with an amoled screen. So my options were small.
I figured the 6P could hold me over until the next Nexus or something similar. Thoughts?

Its funny how you boasted your s7 was a perfect device and way superior compared to 6p in everyway, and here we are lol. Also said that build quality is unacceptable on 6p and talked about serious design flaws, so how come you are here again? Arent you afraid of same problems, which you said are inevitable because you know, design flaws lol. Anyways welcome back

Damn you got a lot of money to throw around. Either way, welcome back I guess.
I wouldn't think S7 Edge would have many problems or slow down 0.o

Im glad I read this because i was tempted for the S7 only because it gets more support for battery cases and stuff but zero lemon said july is final and we are supposed to get one for the 6P so I will wait patiently.

My wife has the S7 and Id have my 6P any day

My only thoughts on this are, if I were you I'd do more research in to the phones you are buying before you buy them.
The 6P is the same phone you didn't like before, so just remember that and manage your own expectations accordingly.
Also don't forget you were seemingly singing the OnePlus 3's praises the other day. Save your money and decide what you want from a phone before you pull the trigger, and just remember that none of them are perfect!
I personally am never an early adopter when handsets are released so I can see what's what with them before I buy them.
My experience and opinion on the 6P (all the positives which make it right for me):
Software support straight from Google, bought from Google and customer service is great, I like the screen and it is great for what I do (surf the net, play games, watch media etc), nice speakers, decent battery, good size, great finger print reader and positioning of it, not bad implementation of a snapdragon s810 (arguably the best), decent build quality, good storage options, good camera and reasonable priced!
I'm not a fan boy at all, these are purely the things I have considered that make the phone good in my eyes.
(P.s the phone does throttle when stretching it's legs playing games, not unexpected to me with such a powerful passively cooled CPU. It only does it playing games for extended periods though which i can live with).

I know, I know. I actually did have those issues and wasn't happy about them. But I will give it another run and see what happens.
At the price I got it at, it will be a bridge device for me until the next Nexus comes out or something else with stock or near stock Android. So I shouldn't have it too long and I hope it holds up.

It doesn't have a ton of problems, but after a couple months there is some slowdown and general sluggishness that usually plagues Samsung.

My bend issues didn't get any worse... and the camera is still amazing. Phone can get slow, and has been rebooting recently. I wouldn't dream of riding this phone naked like I did with both my moto X's, which is a shame because I like the way it looks. Anyway, welcome back. I'm waiting on the next nexus myself

You wipe everything including your sdcard (so backup). I 'Format Data' via TWRP (the right button after choosing 'wipe') and then copy over a non-enforcing kernel while in TWRP, then flash it. There are some guides floating around. If you can't find one, let me know.

Epic Touch 4G (A.K.A: Galaxy S II) set for Sept. 9th release

So, with the chance of getting flamed or... flaming myself depending on the reaction to this. SprintFeed apparently got word that the Galaxy S II will be hitting Sprint first, on September 9th, ahead of all other carriers.
http://www.sprintfeed.com/2011/08/rumor-samsung-epic-touch-4g-releasing-september-9th/
There is the link.
Just thought any defectors would like the heads up. I personally am sticking with my 3Devo.
From the screenshots it looks to be the same phone. No concrete answer on if it's packing a Snapdragon which had been rumored or if it's sticking with Exynos. *Shrug* guess we shall find out.
Awesome, can't wait. Jk Samsung sucks.

Damn Sprint is on a roll. Hopefully they get the Nexus Prime when it comes out. That's the only phone I'm interested in. The GS2 should of came out earlier. Samsung waited to long in my opinion, But nevertheless Sprint has a good line up this year.

Yeah, the only reason I can see why they waited was because of the pressure from Apple and it's "your phone looks like mah phone!" 6-year old meltdown of a lawsuit that has been going on. I dunno.

I was going to go the SGS2 route but it's just too little too late. The E3D in modded form can outpace a stock SGS2 easily...and the nPrime is right around the corner.
I used to love HTC and I've really grown to like the E3D General forum, y'all is cool peoples (most of the time)...but aside from the unlock fiasco I can't stand the ****ty radio and the strange behavior when powering on/off really makes me feel like one day it won't turn back on again....especially when I've seen it happen right in front of me.
...but I sure as hell will not post a thread here about it. Nothin' personal OP, just sayin'...

Well, I know a lot of people aren't happy with the Evo 3D, I decided to drop this nugget and see how it went. Like I said, I'm happy with my evo. My Radios don't suck too bad, only thing I have issue with is a Black SOD every 9hrs when using a custom kernel... which I can workaround with a stock kernel.
You're post is a little confusing. so... you're waiting for the nPrime?. that's how it sounded. That's looking to be an October release, it's being made by Samsung too. Which I find odd, I would think Motorola would be involved. I know it was just recently announced that Google was going to buy them, but...I assumed it was in the making to be some big lead up. oh well, probably next year.
I'd think I'd like it more if it didn't look like the iPhone had a retarded son.

Thank god I don't get the Black SOD...
Yeah, I'm waiting for the nPrime. It's being made by Samsung which, while at first really put me off but I did sport an NS4G for a few weeks last month. Aside from feeling cheap and too light--which most people wouldn't see as a down side--it was actually a fantastic phone. Great battery life, phenomenal camera and an unmatched Android experience. It did have the traditionally weak Samsung radio, but, it seems that you can't escape that anymore.
...and so far as Motorola is concerned Google has assured it's partners that the bidding process for the Nexus line would in fact remain the same. Google is saying all but "listen, we bought MMi for the patents. The Set-top-box and mobile manufacturing is just a plus, that we don't intend to use." Of course time will tell how true that is. For the time being I believe them.
However a Motorola built Nexus would probably be fantastic as long as they ditch that ****ty Pentile screen technology. I bet they would have class leading radios and battery life too.

Yea MOTO isn't far from being a great phone manufacturer..they do have pretty good build quality and their radios are bar none..they have been in that game for a while..ditch all MOTO blur or map and the pentile..add some Google magic and we could have a winner in a few months.

Agreed. Their designs are a bit stodgy looking, but their hardware (aside from those horrible screens and penchant for keyboards) is rock solid. They nearly invented cellular mobile phone technology. They have been doing mobile communications for as long as there has been a commercial mobile communications market. Their radios are fantastic. Build quality is always awesome. How many OG Droids do you still see around? Tons...and I have seen a lot that are beaten to death physically but still kicking ass, 2nd hand, 3rd hand...that says quite a bit.
Without knowing anything about the contents of their patent portfolio I am confident that it contains thousands of very relevant patents. I can't wait to see Google's next move.
I came from the Epic 4G to the Evo 3D. The main thing about Samsung was there slowwwwww release of updates. The Epic 4G rolled out with Eclair, took a while to get Froyo and is still awaiting Gingerbread. This really seem slow down ROM and kernel development. HTC seems pretty spot on with their OS updates.
I am waiting to see if Samsung support for their phones has improved. If it has, maybe I would consider going back. Until then, my Evo 3D is the shizzle.

I think it is because everyone is scared of its size. I have one and love it. Stopped traveling with my tablet cause I got this. I admit it is big but not so big as to not be able to fit in my pocket. Everyone says "Oh you got that huge Android Phone." and then ask if they can see it. Once it is in their hands they say that it feels good in their hand and then they like it. It seems that the talk on the blogs and reviews about it being too big has keep a lot of people from even looking at it even though my contacts at ATT say it is flying out the stores.

Att and Samsung are advertising pretty hard for it. I think once people realize how portable it really is, they will consider it. I still get a few jeers from my friends, followed by them admitting it is a pretty sweet device.

I wonder what the percentages of the below are, when discussing iPhone users:
1. Aware that AT&T allows them to upgrade at 18 months
2. Aware that having an iPhone no longer makes you "cool"
3. Are of the age where they can buy the phone on their own without parental involvement
4. Are aware of what they are lacking with the iPhone
5. Care that their iOS device is at best outdated
Regarding number 3 - I knew the iPhone lost its caché when I was at the movies and saw an eleven-year-old (!) with one. At that time I'd already jumped to Android but my wife still had her iPhone 3G and wanted an iPhone 4. I gave her a good ribbing about wanting a phone that even kids have nowadays.
I remember her needing a new phone and pay through the nose for the original RAZR., so the idea was not lost on her - I think she'll go android on our next upgrade date - she's already entertaining it.
Her trepidation stems from her unfamiliarity with the Android interface - I assure her that she can make it whatever she wants, and even recently showed her a video of Espier launcher; I think that sealed the deal, so come August she might have a better (but not bigger!) phone than I have.
I think cause its still new and its a bit over priced.
Definitely because it's just a new device. The Streak was the first mainstream "phablet", but due to a lack of advertising and outdated software, it never took off for anybody that wasn't familiar with the dev work for it. I think the trend set by this phone combined with good software, great specs, and heavy advertisement by Samsung will make the Note line of phones very popular in the future.
The Note already is selling well, as the ATT store I bought mine from only had one white and no blue ones left when I bought mine...lucky me I wanted white. And I live in Northern Minnesota, which you could say is less tech savvy than a lot of places in the US. Goes to show Samsung has a potential gold mine on their hands if they push this market. Right now, you could say it's a niche device, but I think it's going to turn into a mainstream class of devices.
Everybody who has asked me about my phone is absolutely stunned by it. First, they laugh at its size and ask what the hell it is. Then I tell them it's the Galaxy Note, and explain some things about it, highlighting the 720p screen and SPen. They are impressed by that, but then ask, how the hell do you fit it in your pocket or carry it?! If I know them, I invite them to put it in their pocket and feel the size. They are wowed by how big they screen is, yet how portable and pocketable it really is. By the time I am a done showing them everything, their opinion is completely changed, and they admit it's an awesome device. The only people who say they wouldn't want it themselves are Apple loyalists, who argue that their integration and iCloud make it so they could never use anything but an iPhone. I tell those people that they're being ignorant, because you can do basically ask if that just as well, if not better with Android and Google apps. Even still, they admit if they weren't an iPhone/MacBook user, they would like the Note. I have not seem a single person who dislikes this phone so far.
Just show off your device every chance you get, and eventually people will realize how amazing devices like this really are, and realize their full potential.

The size of this phone freaks people out at first. I remember after getting this phone and taking it with me to work, every student I had was drawn to it like they didn't know what to think. It was comical to watch them all take turns seeing if it would fit in their pocket.
Despite the initial skepticism that they would like a phone this size, a vast majority of the students after messing with it for a second really liked it.
Same thing happened at the bi-monthly staff meeting. It was even funnier than the students...watching a bunch of adults playing pass the phone down the line game. Several of the teachers have either now went out and got this phone or are going to use it as their next upgrade.
I will say that I kinda enjoy having a phone that's not super common

I have seen two others both in the airports while traveling. Most people who notice my phone have seen the ads in one form or another. They know you can write on it!
EDIT: I send this original message while at my son's karate practice. I was sitting there and this very attractive Asian lady comes up and asks me if that I the Galaxy Note. I later found out she is Korean and loves Samsung and Android. She has a Vibrant on T mobile and say she heard they just hacked the GNote for T mobile...I was blown away at this girls knowledge of phones etc. Of course I let her play with my phone!
I then told her she should get a pink GNote and she googles it and you would have thought I was her hero...it was pretty wild how excited she got about a pink GNote although I do not believe it is out yet.
Pretty cool story regarding a simple ole phone!

I've only seen one other person, I was in line at a hibachi grill and while waiting for food the guy beside me pulled out his note, was using the flip-open battery cover case that AT&T has. We chatted for a minute or so while waiting for food, he came from the Pre and was disappointed how WebOS turned out, and said it took him a few days to get used to the size, he's still learning Android, asked me about a few things like do things "crash" all the time, etc, told him I have yet to see a single crash out of mine.
Cool thing was, when he first pulled it out I didn't say anything because he was getting into his calendar and looking up some events, added an event between them to someone and sent off the invite. He was getting along pretty good, and didn't want to disturb him while he was doing work.
Besides myself, I know of 3 other guys where I work with one plus I've ran into a couple other people with one at restaurants. The guy at the local AT&T told me they sold out the first day, so there should be several of them around here.
I have yet to see one in the wild. But any pol look at mine just like you guys shared. I love the attention from the girls looking at it.

too many sheeple that think that because everyone else has one, they have to have one to "stay cool".
I've always considered myself an INDIVIDUAL. I don't buy things based on what everyone else does. Almost to a fault, I'll go the opposite direction of "trendy" things. Hell, I still (when I can find them) wear the same style Nike White with red "swoosh" leather Cortez shoes (the ones like from back to the future). I've worn them since 1976....why...BECAUSE THEY ARE D*MN COMFORTABLE. Same thing with how I dress, my opinions etc. If you don't like it, tough, it's how I am. I got a Dell streak in Oct 2010 because I thought a 5" screen would be a benefit to me, and I was right, too bad Dell & at&t didn't market it. When I heard Sammy would have one, couldn't wait to get it. And I'm right, it's PERFECT for me. The sheeple can squint at their TINY screens all they want and look cool, at least my eyes don't have to squint.

LG Updates often?

Ok so i was wondering if LG updates their phones often?
I know Motorola sucks at updating, even their flagship phones.

Most manufacturer's except Nexus phones are not updated "often." LG's track record with updates is not so good.

Ya, LG I would say is the last in the pack. Motorola is doing pretty good lately with their newer phones. They lightened up the skin a lot and have less work to do. There was an article that came out not too long ago that mentioned morotola saying they wanted to just do aosp on at least some phones, but manufacturers wanted skins so they can so difference in comparison to other androids. And embedded bloat.

Except we are getting Jelly Bean through LG no doubt. It's really more up to AT&T timewise.
Here's a report I saw yesterday: Android update report card
I believe I saw the link on FB yesterday, though cannot recall. Not a lot of good grades out there. Surprise, surprise.
I'd be very surprised if we didn't get Jelly Bean but it's happened before, lol.

Ummm the OG2 is purely speculation at the moment. So you're wrong. Nanner nanner nanner. No one will know anything about that phone other than rumors until MWC.
Um you gave up on LG? Hm interesting you own a Nexus 4. Just saying these statements just totally completely discredited anything you will ever have to say about anything regarding a mobile device.

Ive decided to go elsewhere as well, but thats just because I go through phones like crazy. This phone will be perfect once it gets some CM10.1 action!

The thing that kills me, and this isn't an attack, is that a lot of people are like "I would NEVER get this phone because it's made by this!"
Like me, I personally don't like Samsung. And I make it a point to not buy their phones.
Sony's I have no experience with and I've only had an LG twice (this phone and a flip phone when I was 14).
But my point is people say they hate LG for whatever reason and then sell this phone and by the N4, which yknow, made by LG.
Again, not at attack! I was simply doing research on when the N5 was coming out and all these people are like, I HATE LG, NEXUS ALL THE WAY (sent from my N4). It's just laughable.

Could be a little nicer though.
They haven't made the perfect phone yet, but I chose the OG because of all the various shortcomings out there, the lack of software updates seemed to be the easiest to fix (with the help of the awesome devs!). Once that darn sourse code comes out, we'll be sitting pretty. I can wait for that. No amount of waiting was going to put more storage in the Nexus 4, and that, to me, was important enough of a feature to forgo the increase in software updates.
As far as I can tell, that and the weak camera are the only real knocks against the OG. Every other phone I compared it to had at least one fatal flaw:
SG3 -- US version only has a duel core processor and AMOLED display (I got rid of my SG2 because of screen burn in; no more OLEDs )
OneX+ -- "Only" 1GB of RAM and not crazy about the looks (I'll be honest, I almost pulled the trigger on this one)
DNA -- Don't have Verizon where I am, and the puny 16GB of storage on a device that's touted as a media machine is rediculous (how much 1080p HD video can you shoot with that thing if you have any decent amount of apps/ROMs/nandroid backups?).
N4 -- As stated above (twice) 16GB of storage just ain't enough for me.
Feel free to flame away, but these are my reasons for picking the OG. I am a little worried of what happened to my SG2 happeing to my OG; less than six months after getting a "flagship" phone, they release a new flagship. That's just a crappy thing to do to your customers.

They or any other phone manufacturer never will. Perfection is completely subjective. I chose the OG because I wanted to try something new. I am keeping it because the music player doesn't effing skip like both of my HTC and Samsung devices did. That's a deal-breaker for me. I don't have an iPod or similar device so my phone is my music hub.

The Thrill came out in Sept. of 2011 with Froyo, with the promise of Gingerbread "within a month". They finally got that update in March of 2012. The international version JUST got ICS in Nov of 2012, but the Thrill is dead in the water.
For everyone making fun of the people who swore "Never LG!" and went to the Nexus, well... MOST people have an issue with LG's update policy. Take their software out of the way, and they'd have no issue getting an LG made phone. With Google handling the updates, I can see their point.
Personally, I fixed LG phones for a long time and I have a serious issue with their build quality, not their software. I'll always put an AOSP rom on my phone, so yeah, not too concerned there. My issue is that they always seem to skimp out on building their phones correctly.
- The LG Rumor's charging port was so poorly soldered on, if you sneezed near it, it would snap off. The Flex cable would also break... Our district would replace these phones with the Rumor 2, no questions asked. We were p[romised that the 2 would solve these issues.
The Rumor 2 fixed this with MicroUSB, but the engineers had the flex cable between the two halves of the phone rubbing against metal. Eventually, the phone would short out, almost every one.
-The Optimus S was basically disposable. My girlfriend went through 9 of them before we ditched Sprint for AT&T. Granted, it was a low end phone, but still...
- When I got the Thrill, the first one got so hot (just web browsing) that it would reboot. The second did the same. The third got so hot, the adhesive around the screen MELTED and dripped down the inside of the glass.
Look, the build quality issues are still present. The scratching AND cracking glass issue, the overheating, the reboots into "demigod" mode, etc etc. Then you take the Nexus which has the speaker issues, the glass, the yellowing screen (is that an issue with the OG too?)... Can you blame someone for doubting LG? The best compliment I can give is that the OG and the Nexus have me wanting the phone DESPITE my nightmare experiences in the past. And honestly, considering my stance on LG, that's a huge compliment.

While I see the point on they're older phones (friends had them and they sucked) I have had no issues on my OG. No reboots, no overheats on "demigod," even worked fine for a few days without thermal throttling. Dropped it on tile from a few feet up and nothing cracked, but I have a case now anyways. The people reporting these issues may have duds, or are irresponsible. While I was extremely scared of going with LG because of their past, I believe they picked it up on the OG. They're getting serious after the Nexus deal, and are trying to take a spot in the top tier with Samsung now, so I would expect them to be very careful in how they handle their new phones figuring Google is trusting them with the Nexus and Qualcomm to show off the S4 Pro. If they screw it up, they lose their shot.
All the issues with the OG, I pulled from these forums. You can't really place overheating as "irresponsibility", and how many tech blogs have gone on to mention the cracked glass? Hell, they're even saying that using the phone then putting it on a room temperature countertop will crack the glass. These are from trusted sites, and trusted bloggers. Again, it was LG putting out an amazing device and then shortchanging it horribly in one way or another.

I don't normally post threads like this, but so long HTC One.... JUST KIDDING

I have in my possession two (2) 64gb HTC Ones, and both of them are plagued with various issues. From poor battery life that is not consistent with what's being reported here, to random reboots, to build issues. For a "gapless" device, there sure are an awful lot of gaps all over both of these things. On both devices, there is quite literally a defect on every single piece that makes up the body of the device. HTC designs the best looking devices hands down, but when I look back at every HTC device I have had, they've all had build quality issues. My Hero, Evo 4G, Evo 3D, One X, and now the One- all had blatant build problems. HTC really needs to get their act together. That said, I still love the One, I think it is hands down the best phone ever made (save for my old trusty Panasonic Duramax), it just has too many issues right now. So, I am returning both of the Ones that I have (that I paid full price for, mind you) with hopes that when the black model becomes readily available, those build issues will have been corrected. Some of you here know (*cough*Gunnyman) that I am kinda anal about my phones (went through 5 or 6 One Xs) and I just can't justify spending $700 on a device that isn't perfect. I have way too much money tied up in these phones ($1400 for cell phones, whaaaat) for me to settle on one that is less than perfect. For what its worth, if my first One had good battery life and didn't freeze and reboot on me I probably would have kept it, build issues notwithstanding. The second one I got doesn't reboot, but has terrible gaps and edges so that's a no go for me. I am absolutely dreading going back to my iPhone 5 but it must be done. For now. I am without a doubt going to be trying this again with the black model.
Anyways, that's my rant. Ta-ta. Flame away.
Garrrr. I was hoping you'd start chiming in on different cases for the one similar to your time with the one x. I'm having a hard time deciding lmao.
See you back soon.

If you SERIOUSLY think you are ever going to get any device without any issue you're very very far-off from reality. Every phone has one defect or another, yes even the iPhone 5 has issues. Pretty serious ones too.
Well, in an effort to solidify my decision I went to best buy and played with the black sprint one..... and I like the silver better. Not to mention that I really, really, REALLY can't stand the iPhone and LOVE the One. So call me fickle, but I have now decided on keeping the replacement that I got haha. I now, I'm pathetic. So the good news is I AM sticking with the one. So yeah, this rant was for nought. I do believe that HTC needs to get their crap together though. I'll probably make another warranty claim in a month or so lol. As far as getting a phone with zero defects is concerned- they are out there. I just need to hunt them down. My last One X (out of the 5 I had) was damn near perfect. I love that thing. If they came out with a One X Super+ with all the internals of the One, I would buy it in a heartbeat. I think that is the best designed android phone to date, even besting the One.
@WTFunk- I'll try to start doing case reviews but my new job has me ridiculously busy so it probably won't be the same like it was on the One X. I still have 20+ cases for that thing that I need to get rid of lol. Right now for the One I have the Diztronic TPU case (it's decent but I don't like it as much as the one they made for the One X), the Incipio Dual Pro (holy hell is it massive! That will NEVER be my main case), the Poetic (it's cool and good quality, but not for me), the Poetic Palette Slim (nice quality but feels like half a case) and I have a Poetic Atmosphere on the way. Rest assured, I'll be ordering a TON more
That's good to hear.
I've gone through 3 one x myself due to defects. Still prefer sense and HTC's physical designs to any other brand on the market.
I'm banking on the htc one in black to be newer batches with less defects than the silver but we shall see.

Really tempted to take my VZW V10 back and get a nexus, help me convince myself to ke

I love this phone. I really do, and frankly, **** verizon for making me so scared to hold out on it. I already have the "software status: modified" in the about section, without doing anything to provoke it and a vzw manager tried to tell me my 3 day old phone was out of warranty, thankfully tech-support knows just as little, and they claimed that any non demo model would have the "modified tag" and they marked in my account that the modified status would have no bearing on my warranty. This is the kind of thing I just dont want to deal with around something I own.
BIGGEST CONCERN: vzw V10 marshmallow. do we have any guarantee of when or if it will arrive?
It is pretty sad that a carrier has me wanting to trade in my beautiful phone, for a 6P that is lower powered and less of what I want hardware wise. Thanks for the help guys
The Verizon V10, like all V10s, will be getting Marshmallow. There is no guaranteed date.
You don't need to switch phone but you do need to switch carriers.
How the f did the device show "software status: modified" on a freaking Verizon phone when they locked it so tight that you can't modify anything?

While I'm on Verizon also and agree with most of ur points the 6P is actually not lowered powered. It has a 810, bigger battery and better battery life, fingerprint sensor, all aluminum body, front speakers and louder ones, newest software at ur will, while the camera ain't as gd probably it's still very comparable. To be honest I'm getting V10 but have my doubts and probably will end up with a 6P but we will see, maybe LG will win me over.

But the V10 has a removable/replaceable battery, expandable memory,OIS and supposedly getting wireless charging very soon, probably a better camera and is shock/vibration made. Plus Verizon gave me $300 for a Blu POS I had laying around and with the LG promotion with a free 200gb memory card and extra battery and battery charger it was a no brainer. PS and quick charging

Oh I agree very valid points, I'm going with the promo to so yeah no brainer I figured it was worth trying out. I'm not knocking the phone at all, the build quality looks amazing and feels amazing and I'm one that favors LGs skin but I also like vanilla as well. I'm just saying there's a lot of positives on the 6p as well. As far as battery life the LG will get better once it gets marshmallow. I got the Nexus 6 and doze is amazing. I usually charge my phone at night and take it off the charger every morning but with MM the phone sleeps very good, I usually go to bed around 11 with 100% and wake up at 6 with either 100% or 99%. Nexus 6P has quick charging to (not as quick) and USB type C.
Seems to be convincing enough

He re-did the test with a brand-new-out-of-the-box phone and it too broke. The video is on his channel.

No idea who the dude is, but if he used a fake phone first then he lost all credibility.

He made 2 videos and both look quite legit. How are you so certain without any proof that it's a fake phone?
That was fake, total tech and droidmodderx tried to bend it with no success. Also I never understood this bending issue with the iPhone. How in the hell do u bend a phone? You ain't suppose to sit on the damn thing, any phone that is for that matter. I just never understood the bending hype. U can give me any phone out there and it won't bend cause I use my phone how a "normal person" would.

The V10 will get Marshmallow.. Your biggest concern should be that the Nexus doesn't have a removable battery and if you are like me you want to keep your music on a microsd card! The best part is when zerolemon will release their extended battery for this phone. But if you want to be cool like all those wall hugging Iphone users BE my guest.
Convinced?

You don't need to switch phone but you do need to switch carriers.

What this guy said. Ditched Verizon as soon as T-mobile's uncarrier initiative happened. Had verizon 7 years and hated it the whole time. Gets in the way of anything good that can happen to your phone. Have to say though, reception was great. Extremely greedy carrier
Lol @ this thread
wtf do we keep having these 'convince' me threads? what makes people think they are so important or entitled that I'ms supposed to be putting effort to convince them to stay with a particular phone?
There are tons of threads/forums/reddits/blogs that have info on this phone and other phones..read them just like we did and make your decision based on YOUR needs, not ours.
I had a z ultra which bent in my front pocket after a while. I baby all my stuff but that phone bent because it was too big and poorly engineered.
