Connecting Tablet Z to PC: code 43 (device descriptor failed) - Xperia Tablet Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Recently I bought a "broken" Sony Xperia Tablet Z (SGP-321). The problem reported was a flashing red light when it was trying to boot. According to the seller it was a bad battery.
I tried to charge it for 3 hours... no result. Still had a flashing red light even during charging.
Then I connected it to the PC and the red light is not blinking anymore, but Windows is showing the message with code 43. It stays on for a couple of seconds and then it disconnects. And there is no red light anymore.
From my understanding the light should stay red if it is charging, right?
Still working on to determine the problem, but does it sounds familiar to anyone? I am guessing the USB-port is broken...

[Q] Got a TG01 bricked, riffboxed and then halfbricked without any way to ressurect.

Hi.
I bricked my tg01 totally so I gave it to riffbox guy and he revived BL (also simlock got removed) but:
When I want to turn on - Green led blinks, phone vibrates and that's all, nothing else at all.
When I wanted to flash it, no way worked but TG Downloader detected the phone and I started flashing wwe official rom, but it hungs, twice in WMB3 flashing, and once in veryfing data. Then led goes red and after disconnection nothing works at all, even tgdownloader.
But if I connect usb cable/charger then, led goes red but after some time goes off, and again red, and again off...
I read about red led issue and charged the battery via usb cable directly, it helped me with flashing again, but after any flashing, green led blinks, vibrate and die...
Can somebody help me a bit? I've got confused really...

Try to take off the battery and retry charging
There may be a problem in your charger micro USB jack or the phone port, so try removing and inserting one or two times. This happened to me too many times.
Normally after a complete drain, sometimes the red light starts blinking after few seconds/minutes sometimes & then onwards there is a pattern of blinking red & then it starts showing the battery symbol when the LED starts from red.
The blinking red may be for ever, it may indicate a cable/micro USB pin/port problem. But as a coincidence I found it on miniCM10+nAa jb2 & I have never seen such on miniCM 7x. No known such problem due to kernel/ROM is yet proved!
If nothing works, charge the battery with an external charger available in the market and solve the problem & charge again!
:good:If it works press thanks!!!

X10 Wont start, Not recognized on pc. Can use Bootmode in wall socket

Hi everyone,
Some time ago my Xperia X10 suddenly got some error messages and i decided to just remove the battery and repalce it.
After i did this the phone wouldnt go further than the Sony Ericsson logo, so i pulled out the battery again.
After some time it wouldnt start up at all anymore.
I actually gave up hope untill a few days pack i decided to try connecting it to the pc once more.
when i tried to start in in boot mode (back button + connecting the usb) a red led started blinking with a 1 second interval.
So i tought if the led blinks there is life in it and i can fix it.
I fooled around with it a bit (note that my pc never really found the phone) and tried charging it in the wall socket.
When i try to start boot mode while connecting it to a wall socket a green led starts burning.
So i tought it might have been the battery, i ordered a new one wich came in today.
Sadly no help since the green light imediatly shuts down if i put in the battery wich has been charging for about 5 hours now.
Can anyone please tell me whats going on and if its fixable?
If you need anyomore info please ask because im sure i forgot some important stuff.
Thanks in advance.

I'm just trying out some more and found that:
-its not boot mode but just the green charging light comming up when i connect the phone to a wall socket without a battery
-there is no green light (so no charging?) when there is a battery in the phone
-with or without battery there is no green light when i connect it to my pc's usb (not enough power supplied?)

[Q] Xperia Z2 failed to turn on shows redlight (only when charging)

When I connect my xperia z2 to the charger, it shows the red light like its charging then after a couple of minutes shows the sony logo and shows the battery icon then then the red light goes off and sequence continues. The phone is driving me nuts. I've tried using flash tool but the phone cant even get into flashmode, it gets into fastboot mode though but thats about it. I've tried different chargers but failed.
Leave it to charge
My device faced this a few times but eventualy it got into charging mode and i was able to bring it back

what mode is this? white light flash every 4-5 seconds, cryptic bar at top of screen

Developed a problem charging and connecting to computer by USB. Tried several several things, and finally just replaced the USB port, but still cannot charge normally or connect to USB at all. Did the fastboot blue light thing, and that got the phone fully recharged, but interestingly, when I turn it on, I get a white light from the charger LED that flashes every 4-5 seconds. Anyone know what that means? --Chris
