i'm New In This Forum , Bought New Phone , Got Problems & For Solutions , Got This Forum or Team .
I Bought LG G3 VS985 From E bay , There was Marshmallow Installed In This Phone Ver 47A.
Issues :-
After Some Days I Was Trying To Boot Into Recovery & It's BIOS Got Corrupted , It Was Showing some issue Like " Connect To Repair Tools Assessment & Repair" but Accidentally i fixed the BIOS Issue With LG FLASH Tool via Normal FLASH . I Saved my all Data + Now My OS boots without any issue ,
but after Some Time When i try to Open it's Recovery Mode , I Got This Error "boot certification verify , Secure boot error" .
All of these Problems i am facing only while trying to root this version of Android.
So Friends , Plz Help Me to FIX this Issue .
Just Help me to Fix this BIOS issue & help me to ROOT this Version Of Android .
Plz I'm Begging u guyz , it's My 1st ANDROID Phone & I really Want TO Explore it beyond it's LIMIT !!!

If you can still boot the ROM, you can use the built-in LG Backup to back up your user apps, user data and limited system data.

and use that method but with the VS985 TOT and .DLL, which you can get from my Android File Host link at the bottom of the first post of @annoyingduck 's stickied return to stock thread in the General section, also in my signature below. You want the 10B TOT file and the .DLL.
TOTs flash more partitions than KDZs and can fix problems that KDZs or flashing ROMs can't. TOTs (and KDZ "CSE" option) wipe everything including internal storage so save what you want to keep, if possible, to your MicroSD card. You can't flash the 10B KDZ instead of the TOT in your device's current condition. You have to have one of @xdabbeb 's Bootstacks flashed from TWRP in order to be able to flash older KDZs than 35B from 35B and higher.
Also, it's easiest to root and put TWRP on from 10B using the Stump app available on XDA to root using the brute force option, then TWRP Manager from the Play Store to install TWRP 3.0.0. Rooting gets more complicated after 10B and putting TWRP on gets more complicated after 12B.
Once you're rooted and have TWRP on 10B, then use TWRP to wipe Cache, Dalvik/ART and Data, flash @xdabbeb 's already rooted stock 47A firmware and his 35B Bootstack available in the Development (non-original) section, optionally any of the debloat zips in the third post of his 47A ROM thread. Once you're booted into 47A you can use LG Backup to restore what you want from your backup.
You might not want to use the term "BIOS" regarding Android devices. They don't have BIOS the way PC's do, but I understand what you mean.

few days before i restart my phone into recovery mode as a result my entire data go deleted as it factory reset my phone (first time i have noticed that by entering recovery mode phone got factory reset)
however now i have managed to installed twrp but now scared into recovery mode as i am not sure it was successfully installed or not.. IF NOT then again my phone will be factory reset
kindly any one let me know how do i check that my phone has TWRP or not
First, more information. What version of the stock ROM are you on (10B, 12B, etc) and what way did you install TWRP?
You can always use the superuser terminal commands in @bweN diorD 's stickied thread in General to pull an .IMG of your currently installed recovery, then you can use am Android app like @scary alien 's AFV / Android File Verifier to check the MD5 hash of what you pulled and compare it to the MD5 of what you flashed.

There's no other way other than what I told you unless TWRP Manager reports what's installed. TWRP Manager has never failed to install TWRP for me on any ROM that's supported, which includes 10B, not sure about 12B, but definitely not any newer, 23C, 24B or 35B. If you're on 10B, you installed TWRP Manager, gave it root permissions and told it to install TWRP for the VS985 I wouldn't have any doubt that it worked. I've done it in that same scenario several times.
To clarify not working on 23C and above, it will actually install TWRP just fine on any of them. You just either won't be able to use it, or you won't be able to boot the ROM after, or both, because of the secure boot error, but that has nothing to do with TWRP itself.
@bender_007 's autorec app will install an older version of TWRP just fine on 23C or 24B. The one in the Play Store is ONLY for 23C and if you expand the description of the app, he gives a link to his XDA thread in the non-Verizon G3 General section, where has separate versions for 23C and 24B. Once you use his app on 23C or 24B, you can flash the latest version from the older version.
Can confirm about autorec, I used it on version 24B to install TWRP, but I accidentally installed it in 35B and got the secure boot error. I was able to boot to recovery right before that however, so if this happens to you, you can boot to TWRP using the Volume Down + Power button trick to get into custom recovery and choosing "Factory data reset" which won't delete your data, and connect your phone to a PC to move your stuff out before restoring it.
Anyway, if you're comfortable with ADB I have successfully flashed TWRP with these instructions

You were able to use ADB to install TWRP on 35B or 24B? I'm trying to get it on 35B rooted with Kingroom and replaced with SuperSU and keep getting the Secure Boot Error.

thats because it cant be done directly without changing other partitions too.

i havent tried, but i dont see why it couldnt be done the same way we did with the first L build before all the automated methods were made.

So I have a rooted vs985 without twrp and had been reading a couple threads on how to install Xposed without having a custom recovery and after trying the methods I read about on here and them not working happened to see an app on the play store called terminal installer: Xposed. I ran the app, all seemed well when I realized that I didn't have root access anymore and SuperSU was saying that I needed to update the su binary, after a couple failed attempts to update the binary(normal) I decided to reboot and maybe try to update the binary again. After rebooting the black LG screen with blue and green flashing light(like usual) it then rebooted and black LG screen with no lights this time appears and then the android robot laying down with the red exclamation point above him comes up and that's as far as I can get. Tried every option in the stock recovery and still the same outcome(black screen with dead android)
I realize I'm probably going to need to kdz or tot to fix this issue, I'm on 35b and need to recover my files on internal storage if possible- How would I go about doing so, and being on 35b what are the best options for restoring 35b hopefully getting my files and downgrading to install twrp???

You'll have to Google for the Windows software and directions to flash. It'll wipe your days including internal storage.
Then root with the Stump app, use TWRP Manager from the Play Store to flash TWRP, reboot to custom recovery. Use an app or if you do it from having the phone off, select Wipe Cache from the stock looking recovery to load TWRP.
Flash the ROM and appropriate bootstack (35B Bootstack for a 35B or higher ROM), then optional debloat zips, Google for Xposed Marshmallow (even if you want for Lollipop) and download the right Xposed zip to flash from recovery.
Once you have your ROM set up to your liking, make a backup in TWRP and keep it in your external Micro SD card in case you have to forfeit the contents of your internal storage again like in this situation.

Substitute "at all' for "properly". In order to downgrade from stock 35B or higher, you need the 35B .DLL. There was an earlier .DLL which worked fine until 35B came along.
And after that Stump root and twrp manager and that's it right?

Okay. so I have this Problem: I tried to install an incompatible Rom and im getting secure boot error boot certification verify. Normally would not be a problem. I have twrp installed and all the roms and files I would need to fix it. Here's the catch. The power button is broken so I have no access to the recovery menu. Just to turn it on I have to battery pop. Any help on getting into recovery through some back door? Can't get it to connect to ADB because I cant get past the secure boot error lol
Also I can get into download mode, but that still doesnt make the computer recognise it to connect with adb
From download mode you can use LGUP I think. You should be able to flash back to stock just to get it working again, and then go from there.

However, I don't know what conflicts exist with doing that with a custom recovery or anything.
There's no conflict with custom recovery when flashing the official stock KDZ or TOT because either one will overwrite everything with the stock partitions. Personally, I recommend flashing the 10B TOT. TOTs flash more partitions than KDZs and can fix problems KDZs sometimes can't. In my one try of using LGUp on the VS985 I didn't have any luck, so I stick with the old tools.

Hey guys. Was able to finally get it fixed by flashing to 12b using the kdz method. Had issues installing twrp and had to use flashify premium. Finally got it all running and hooked up with cloudy g3 thanks for the advices

If you're already rooted on 35b this should work:
*download the twrp img file from here... https://dl.twrp.me/vs985/
*download the ROM you want to flash and proper Gapps(these are Gapps for 7.1.0 and 7.1.1: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=124631 ; if you need different gapps for MM or LP roms try googling open gapps)
*using an app like Rashr from the play store, find the twrp file in your storage and install the recovery .IMG and reboot into recovery when it asks
*make a backup of your current setup in case something goes wrong(backup cache, system, data)
*wipe cache, dalvik, system, data
*install new ROM and gapps
*reboot
If this procedure doesn't work on 35b I do apologize. Its what I did on 10b, 12b, and one of the MM variants - just not on 35b. Pretty much, if you have root, you should be able to use an app to get twrp installed and after that you're good to go.

Can't. I just tried & XDA says you can't receive PM's for some reason.
Where are you stuck? The tutorials are pretty straight forward unless you get stuck.
i've been tinkering with custom ROMs today and in the process i ended up breaking the wifi, so i couldn't proceed with the setup on any custom ROMs i tried to download. i've been attempting to open download mode but it won't open, probably because i wiped everything in TWRP and did not make a backup beforehand which was stupid of me.
have i bricked my device or is there some way to reflash the stock firmware and all of its partitions without the use of LGUP? i read somewhere that you could manually extract bins from the KDZ file and flash each partition one by one via fastboot, and if this is possible i do have all of the BINs with me since i extracted them from the KDZ, but i am not sure how exactly i would go about doing this properly.
