I think you should check the Anker chargers. Not cheap, but they are good quality.

Can someone tell me the differences in chargers and speed?

Ok what is the differences in chargers? I see 2.1 amp chargers, 1 amp and so forth. Wall chargers, portable and mobile. Any good knowledge you can offer.

the higher the amp, the faster it charges. also, the higher the amp, the hotter the battery will get while charging. afaik, the only downside to using a charger that outputs a higher amp than your phone's recommended charger is that the heat may damage your battery; but then again i've read that most phones have safety mechanisms that (i guess) prevent such damage.

AC Charger - Note 3

Between all the lower price knock offs ( $10 Fakes) available on the Internet which reportedly don't provide the full 2.0 mAh of the original AC charger, and the high price of the genuine one at $40................... it might be best to look for brand name 3rd party manufacturers.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a good AC charger that can offer 2mAh?
I found one by MOMAX.. They are a recognized brand, thus have a reputation and brand equity to protect, so should provide a better product than fake named knock-offs.
Has anyone tried this one, or MOMAX products in general?
XC Series USB Travel Charger
Or has one that has been tested to provide the same power as the original charger?

I actually have this one as well for the car. Puts out 2.1a so it charges the phone while GPS, Bluetooth is connected, and music streaming. Anything less than 2.1a and it wont be able to keep up the charge.

Sony wall charger not performing as rated??

I felt that the stock Sony wall charger was not performing as rate 1500mah.
Z ultra has a 3050mah which means that the 1500mah charger will need like max 2.5hours to full charge the battery.
But mine need more tha
n that.
So i use an amperage meter to measure it and found that is just 900mah/1500mah.
I tried my S4 charger and is rated at 1300mah.
In this measurement i used the same Sony cable which is connected to my Z Ultra.
Did anyone here have this issue too??
I'm using the magnetic dock, and i'm getting everything between 800-1300mAh. It takes around 2 hours to fully charge it.

I am using an app called battery monitor widget and I am experiencing the same thing. Normally seems to charge between 800-900 at best I have seen 1100 but never close to 1500 or so.
I am planning on getting the "quick" charger to see if something is wrong with mine.
This is using the stock cable, if I use a different usb cable (thicker even, will not even get to 500).

Or maybe my charger is faulty???
Is only 3months old...
I think its normal because it is within the usual efficiency number I got about 800-1100mah with mine on battery network widget. With samsung 2.1 amp charger i got max 1500ma.

Especially non removable 1...

Car Charger?

I bought an Xtreme 2.1 amp car charger but I noticed once charged my note 3 gets hot (110 F when I unplugged it).
Would using the oem cable be likely to help? The Motorola USB to micro plug cable I used did not cause overheating on an ac plug.
Can you suggest a car charger that works well without causing the phone to get hot?

Car Charger
Hi I am using this for car charging. USB outpu is coded for samsung so it can charge with full capacity (as wall charger)
http://dx.com/p/dual-usb-3-1a-car-c...-mini-samsung-p1000-black-171789#.UuV45NJajIU
Electronics in it has very high coversition efficiency (%95 effc. 14V to 5V conversition) so it will not heat up.
Two independent ports one 1A and other 2.1A
Wish helps,

ST Microelectronics L6910 and variants
It uses cheap but efficient STMicroelectronic chips,
So it is not a crap at the moment. But it can vary batch to batch on DX as always.
You seem to know a lot about electronics. Does the cable I use matter or is the charger primarily responsible for overheating?

1- if charger has low efficiency the loosed energy will turn to heat on charger. Generally efficiency is near 80% and it translate to near 2~3watt energy loose on full power. It will heat this little chargers very fast.
2- if the cable is too thin or connectors oxided, power loose on cable will heat cable, charger also phone. If the problem is cable charge time will decrease when cable heated. So if your charge time is ok, problem is dc-dc convertion efficiency.
You mention low efficiency getting charger hot. It wasn't., nor was the cable. Only the phone was hot.

chargers output voltage and ripple must be measured.
Voltage higher than 5.5V or voltage ripple can cause this. Charger voltage can ripple from 4V to 6V and you can only measure 5V avarage voltage with standart multimeters. Be carefull and do not use that charger.
Im using this one from Verizon. It works very well and has a handy led light

Anker® Dual Port USB 18W Car Charger
I just bought this one from Anker. http://amzn.com/B00DDLYCUW
Ran my n3 with gps, spotify, OutLoud reading my texts, all while driving and it was charging up, not draining.
Anker is a good company, Amazon is a good company, and you can't go wrong for $8.
I'm using a pny cigarette to USB adapter 2.1mah ($6 amazon) with a stock Samsung micro usb cable ($3 amazon) and my phone doesn't get hot

That's what I use and it's AWESOME!! It's got a 1 Amp port and 2.1 Amp port. Also, you get 2 in the package, one in white and one in black! Best deal online, not to mention the best charger I've used!!

You can try this?
I have a 2010 Mercedes c class and needed one that wouldn't stick out too much so I can shut the ash tray cover and this works well and charges fast.

Magnetic charger experia z2

So Ive ordered a magnetic charger stand from Sony. I refuse to buy third party off eBay. Or even when they say it's 'genuine' it's not.
What's your views on them? Do they charge well, and does charge last just as well as micro USB.
I've gone for magnetic charger to save opening up left flap to USB

I don't recommend to buy 3rd party charger unless from famous/trustful accessory company.
because i cannot trust about its configuration and compatibility with phone battery.
(bad voltage, ampere & etc)
:good:
I got one and I don't have a problem with it. Just make sure your casing (If your using one) is not blocking your magnetic charger port. Charging time is good 3hrs around 65-70% charge directly from your wall outlet.
I don't trust 3rd party chargers. I've tried them before and they're always poor quality and overheat etc.
I have the scr10 flip case. I use this for more protection while I'm out and about and at work etc.

By the way Im using Sony's Magnetic Dock Charger.
I've odered mine direct from Sony. It's only £24.99 I know it's alot for a charger. But it's better than continously buying third party crap
That's for the dock and two cables I think it was

I just got the magnetic cable and plugged it into the Sony charger. All is fine, I think it's slower, but not having to open the USB flap all the time is amazing.
Sent from my D6503 using XDA Free mobile app
Mines just arrived today I don't mind a slower charge. Saves opening USB cover all the time. I've seen people who have just ripped there's off. Why ruin a good handset

I'm using a cable I bought from eBay, only 2.99 and it's been working without any problems and no problems with my phone or battery either for the last 5months.
I just use my Sony cable which came with the phone. And used for dock for first time last night. Had over 12 hours charge so far and on 80+% still
Never really had problems with my battery or cable. I just refuse to use third party anymore
