Worth having a LG G2 (D802) for a 16gb Lg Nexus 5x 16gb? 5x already are aware that the processor Snapdragon 808, a new gpu Adreno I do not remember the model name and fingerprint reader, but what about the battery life, fluidity, etc. how's 5x?
I've compared the 5X to my G2 on a number of occasions in shops. I can't see any difference at all in things like the screen.
Whilst the CPU/GPU is better, the amount of available RAM is less than our G2's as the 5X has the 64bit OS which is much more RAM guzzling. I've experienced this issue on the Nexus 9 which is plagued with poor performance as it constantly runs out of RAM. :crying:
If you need that fingerprint reader and the price is right, go for it. For me, I don't consider it an upgrade to our G2's.

Will not be an update, however the grade g2 modded loses many things including: photo quality, discreet audio, screen quality is not comparable as when using the stock, the power button lights up only with rom stock, and with bootstack ibribo if you put in charge the phone while it's turned off and you go to turn on your phone goes in bootloop. However from what I see the 5x even with the custom rom does not lose any of that.
LG G4's price has dropped. G4 would be an upgrade, I personally still prefer the G2 over the G4 because of its body and it feels more comfortable to hold. But the 5X is no upgrade.

G4 has below average battery and most have bootloop issue

I cant comment as I've never used a custom rom on the G2. I'm using stock 20H rooted with exposed to get a recents button. Even though I'm using an out of date OS, I never have issues with RAM and chrome tabs having to reload constantly. Much better performance than a Nexus 9.
Are G4 roms up to par? I'm looking to upgrade asap but not looking to get into the same problems I've had with G2 roms (ie no camera drivers, lag on stock roms, etc...no fault of the rom devs, props for their efforts). I'm just looking for a 100% working phone at this point with camera at least as good as stock G2. What's the best sub$200 phone on Verizon?
Your best bet is CM13 with lambda kernel
Much better performance and battery life but camera quality is a little ****ty to be honest but it's alright

Nah, stay with nexus 5x . It runs official M and better in performance comparing to lg g2. Only thing that sucks is battery life on 5x.

Thats lame. Because it runs M its good?
The last major update from Google is still the upgrade from jellybean to kitkat. Everything after kitkat has been small modifications. Security has been upped thats about it but still patches can be applied to older versions. And Doze? Get outta here, all marketing stunts. M, N, all the same bullsh*t.

Not only software, the specs on the google device is better than the g2.
But since you asked, the android lollipop version that came for the g2 ( 5.0.2) has issues which has been fixed on (5.1.1) and later but lg haven't provided any further updates ( not sure about the d802 since i won the vzw variant). One of the bug is the memory leak which is fixed on next lollipop ( 5.1.1) update. And stability and performance is far more better on android M than lollipop.
I got 5X now, used G2 more than 2 years. I can say it's not worth.

Hello,
I want to share a feedback which if I had the opportunity to read myself a month ago would have helped me making a choice.
3 years ago, I bought the LG Optimus 2x. The main criteria for me was the speed, not to play, but I think that most features on a phone are useful if they are snappy, I don't want to stand in the street for 30 seconds waiting for my app to load, GPS to localize, search to be sent and result to be displayed. When first used the 2X, I was actually not so impressed with the speed, but it was overall a decent phone (camera, size, ...).
Over time, multiple things bothered me: phone getting slower over time, whatever ROM I would use, battery drains, random reboots or freeze, backlight LED and micro USB connector started to be problematic.
I have then started to consider buying a new phone with the first idea to go away from LG. I wanted a fast phone, around 400EUR with a good camera. I considered the following phones:
Xperia Z1 compact, there are so many reviews underlining problems, mainly with the camera (maybe exaggerated, but still scary)
OnePlus One, it is too large for me, doesn't have LTE 800MHz and availability unknown
Galaxy S4 almost as good as the LG G2 with a little minus for screen, CPU and battery
Moto X, very tempting, perfect size, but less "future proof" than G2
Lumia 930, very tempting too, very good camera, snappy, but more expensive than G2, less good integration with Google services
Ascend P7, similarly to the S4, very close to the G2 on many aspects but little behind overall in my taste (CPU, unsure I would like the iOS-like GUI)
So I finally decided to try again LG with the G2.
My fears were that the G2 is too large and many people reports problems with Kitkat.
Here is my feedback after one week of usage.
Overall, for the moment, I am very happy with my choice. Everything is fast, switching between apps is quick and easy, connecting to GPS, replying to a SMS when using an other app, quickly going to check Facebook, all this was a pain with the Optimus 2X and is a bless with the G2. Camera and screen are really nice too. Battery life is great, no need to constantly disable as many features as possible to keep battery for a day. So far, no freeze, reboot, crash, ...
The 2 concerns I have are:
1. The power button at the back, not a big deal, but not as convenient as when it is on the top.
2. I am tall (1m93, 6'4") and have large hands, but I still find the phone a bit too large to handle with one hand, I think that 5" with thin bezels is really the best size for a smartphone, Xperia Z2, OnePlus One, Galaxy S5, LG G3 are really too large for me. If the trends continues, in 3 years, for my next smartphone, I will not buy a flagship but a midrange, like a successor of a Moto X, maybe, or a OnePlus mini, if it comes.
I hope this will help others making a decision when considering buying a new phone.
Yeah good advice.
I use it one hand no problem and am considerably shorter than you at under 6ft.
Agreed that 5" is the sweet spot. Actually the LG Optimus G is awesome in the hands and pocket. Wish LG fixed something like that in 2014 / 2015.
I was an owner of o2x. When I first bought it, it was the first dual core android ever. So it felt exciting. After some time you realize that android is just made as a ram hog and lg roms were just so not nice. But cm7 on o2x was just really wonderful. With cm10 the phone was just done with. Its not good enough.
lg g2 is really good that I guess lg start knowing what to do.
I still prefer g2 stock ROM over paranoid android that I'm using now. Because temperature and battery consumption are just way better. Pa is still in beta and cm11 is just starting to move on to KitKat source. So let's wait.
Everything in g2 is a relieve just no SD card slot.

About your concerns its actually weird but I rarely ever use the back buttons unless I want to reboot phone, always use knock on or the notifications area for toggling volume and utilize quiet hours so that I don't bother putting my phone on vibrate. I find the G2 to be a perfect size for me and I'm 6ft. Came from a Nexus 5 and couldn't be happier with the battery life and camera, solid phone and best I've ever owned and G2 Tweakbox gives me the few extra options to disable annoying pop ups, volume keys skip tracks etc in LG software, not interested in upgrading any time soon
I m still using lg optimus 2x.....switching to new phone soon...
The list of phone on my mind currently
Lg g2
Nexus 5
Xperia z1
My main concern about lg g2 is lg itself ,poor with updates.....i even want to know about camera and battery life(heavy usage)
Nexus i knw its not a good camera phone but gets the updates first...
Xperia z1....i dnt knw much about this phone but it is best camera phone....all have similar specs ...
What should i buy???confused..
Performance ,display n camera r my major concern
Price
Lg g2 16 gb inr.32000
Nexus 5 32gb inr.31000
Xperia z1 inr.33000

go for g2, i still own o2x as a backup device...
btw back buttons are great feature when you get used to them after a few days...
I forgot to mention that I had also considered the Nexus 5 for the OS updates, size and price. What held me back was the camera and battery. Also, since 4.0, I don't find the OS updates so important, as long as it runs my apps.

Just picked up a G2 myself yesterday for under £300 new, superb bargain but i do have fears that LG will stop supporting this phone once the G3 is out, even though the hardware is still top spec, as LG are well known for lack of support to their former flagships.
As for the Moto X i also have this aswell & i actually find this phone will be more future proof in regards to updates than the G2 will be, 4.4.3 will be on this phone well before the G2 get's it also 4.5 later on in the year, but i be very surprised if the G3 receives the 4.5 update as this will be more for the G3.

I may be wrong, but I don't believe that "future proof" is still so much about getting newer Android releases but rather about having the raw power (CPU, RAM, ...) to run future apps. What do you have in Kitkat that you were missing in Jelly Bean?
http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2013...oems-step-aside-google-is-defragging-android/
Depends what you do with your phone, if you game ect then having the best possible specs is always best.
But if you don't as shown with the recently released Moto E, it does all the basic task's just fine & quicker than the Galaxy S5, there is a video on youtube.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3P9vDAY0U0A#t=140
To me it more important that a phone receives regular updates rather than all out specs.
The G2 as mentioned by other users on here has a few bugs with 4.4.2, as do other smartphones inc the Nexus 5, when 4.4.3 comes out hopefully this will fix alot of problems people have been having with 4.4.2, the G2 will get it.... at some point, but after that nothing else, will you be happy using your high end spec phone with no more support in the software, because they moved all their efforts onto the G3?, while the likes of the Nexus 5 & the Moto X,G & E will get 4.4.3 quickly and the next major android update later on in the year, while the G2 will probably stuck on 4.4.3.

G2 and Optimus 2X user here too.
The power button in my O2X is starting to act up (again, as I already had it replaced before).
It is a looovely jump. My O2X can barely multitask between browser and Play Store. I have downgraded my O2X to Gingerbread (Temasek's CM7 to be precise), and I just use it now as a bike computer (Strava app).
Before I got the G2, I actually told myself that I wanna try a Sony or an HTC or a Samsung (I havent tried any of their droids yet), but the knock on and slim bezels of the G2 just won me over.
Hi,
I have a chance to buy the LG G2 today, brand new for a bit less than 300 eur. The LG is for sure a great smartphone, even nowadays, but it's a 1.5 years old model after all.
What do you think? Is it the best value for money that I can get today?
My other option is the morotola G2 LTE for about 211 eur.
Thanks!
If is international model(D802) and 32gb variant I would say...go ahead and buy it!
Enviado do meu LG-D802 através de Tapatalk
It is still a great phone, better than a lot of competitors, and the price is good.
And lollipop is coming...
_____________________________________Read more write less and be smart
My dilemma is that the motorola is relatively new model with promised update at least up to 5.1, and the G2 is a relatively old model (1.5 years!) and probably the lollipop is the last official update.
And yes, I'm talking about the international (D802) model with 32 GB.
one more thing, my current phone is a nexus 4 (updated to 5.1). It's a great phone but the screen is broke, plus the battery life is horrible (can't trust is to last a full day of medium usage).
SD 400 1gb vs SD800 2gb.I see a clear winner here.
Motorola systems aren't that special and changed as those from sense, touchwiz and from LG UX. If you want latest version then just wait a bit and you will have custom roms which will outperform your motorola choice. As the hardware is pretty much not worth it if you can buy even the G2.
I also came from a nexus4 and really, the battery life on the G2 is awesome with its 3000mah battery and great devs here who are making the performance, stability better and more battery friendly.
I highly suggest the G2 over the motorola as it also contains a powerfull software camera which also has great pictures in the night. You would be amazed if you would compare aosp camera versus LG camera.
Alright, thank you all. I can see where it goes
Plus.. Motorola: what extra features are you getting? None. G2: Quick Remote, wireless storage, Qslide, extra sharing possibilites, and probably some more
Sent from my LG-D802
It depends on what it available in your country. Get the best phone your budget for a new phone allows for. Check the XDA section for the phone to make sure it is still being developed for and has no major issues.
Like here in the US, I can pick up a G2 D802 (not the best example, as none of the carriers here sell them) for $200-300 at the moment, depending on what condition you want it in. I paid $400 for a new one a year ago. An international G3 goes for $300-500, again depending on the condition. Swappa has used Tmobile G2's for around $250, Tmobile G3's for $350-380.
The G2 is still a viable phone though. Don't let it's age foul you, it was ahead of the competition when it came out. The Galaxy S4 and HTC One M7 only had Snapdragon 600's The Moto X had a SoC similar to the one on the Nexus 4! The Snapdragon 801 used on last gen phones wasn't a huge jump from the 800 in the G2. Rather it smoothed some things out and was more power efficient. The G2 can offset this with it's larger than normal 3000mAh stacked battery.
Thanks guys, I ordered the g2 for a bit less than 300 euros via amazon (and with a little bit of luck, the local costumes won't charge me abd I'll get a 46 eur refund ).
I just hope that i wont have any problems with the official lollipop as some people had (mostly battary life).
Thanks you all!

Well done on your purchase. Dont worry about Lollipop. If its not for you, 4.4.2 20H is really good. At least with this phone you have the choice to go back. :victory:
Coming from the Nexus 4 you are going to think you are seeing things when looking at your battery stats.
Coming from nexus 4, I don't know what battery means
G2 is still the best bang for buck phone you can buy...even with its issues.
There's nothing that compares to it in its class.
It like buying a 650whp Supra in mint condition for 2 grand.
I'm really hopeful that LG combined all the advantages of G2 and G3 without the negative points in new G4.
But right now there is truly no better phone than G2 for the prize. I still would prefer it because most of the new phones are too big but have no bigger screens. You've made a good choice.
I bought a brand new G2 for less than 300€, d802 32g, received it 3 days ago, and I can say it's a really grezt phone, I prefere it to my other galaxy s5, the display is great.
I updated it to lollipop 30a and it's awsome. But I can't say if the battery is good compared to kk cause I did not used it.
G2 is still a good phone and only $200 in the US. It has a great screen at 1080p. Battery is great at 3000mAh, more than the new Galaxy S6 and most other phones, except phablets. The CPU, 2gb ram can run most modern software for the next year or two.
I don't find the G3 or G4 to be much of an upgrade. The bigger screen makes it half way to a phablet and the higher resolution only drains the battery faster and lags the CPU. 1080p is more than good enough. My 23" monitor is 1080p!

The G2 is still a truly great smartphone. Since the Lollipop update the speed has greatly improved (at least for me), camera quality is also noticeably better, navigation buttons can hide increasing the usable screen area. Form factor is the largest one could reasonably fit in the pocket. I could afford more expensive smartphones but I can't find a match for it right now. Hopefully LG will release a smaller screen G4 sometime in the future. But still I can't see any reason to upgrade.

The battery in a new G2 will not necessarily have its full capacity if 3K mAh anymore. Chances are that the internal battery has lost power even if they have been cooped up in some warehouse.
A G4 will likely have a 3K battery but with 1440P & S808 instead of 810. It should also have G-RAM like the G2, improving the battery life during idle activities such as reading a website.
Snapdragon 810 & the Exynos in the S6 both have 64bit+A57/53 with powerful GPUs too. They can handle 2K resolutions just fine, even in games. The real issue is bloat because they tend to add so many things that bog down the experience. After removing bloat from my G2 it even ran better.
And Android has had hardware acceleration since ICS, so the UI is partially rendered by the GPU...The G3 had the G2's GPU which caused it to perform worse in similar use cases.

I think the speed is somewhat worse. Try restoring the JB tot & you'll see how the G2 really flew back during launch. Right now I'm back on JB until the G4 releases.

Hi, Guys!
I've been a massive tinkerer of phones since 2012, but since then, I have only been using flagships from yesteryears or Nexus.
Currently I am using Droid Turbo as my daily driver as it is personally is the better performer than Nexus 5x (Batt Life is extremely important to me).
Now I am looking to upgrade, and since prices of Oneplus 3 and LG G5 is roughly the same (G5 is actually cheaper here in PH)
I would like to know which one would you prefer.
I really am having a hard time deciding but I am narrowing it down to personal pro/con preferences
G5:
MicroSD slot - since my nexus 7 2013 is dying, I plan to consolidate all media to one phone and this is a big plus
Better Camera - The last great camera I had was Galaxy S5. Nexus 5x and Droid Turbo are just not fun to shoot with
Build / Bootloop Issue - I really really don't find G5 physically appealing add the fact that some units have bootloop issues
LG UI - I love stock
OnePlus 3:
Build - OnePlus looks fantastic to me
Stock Feel - Feels stock with non-obtrusive addition
Tinkerabilityl - OP has always been easy to tinker with
Non-Expandable Storage - The most glaring weakness of Op3 amdist 64GB Internal
LTE Connectivity - The Op3 available in PH are chinese version which do not have band 5 which could make the experience all the more frustrating. Philippines already has s**t networks with limited LTE support depending on where you live,
Further Notes:
As you can see, battery life is not mentioned since both has garnered mixed reviews. I also did not count Op3's camera as a con since it is a good performer.
Hope you guys can share your insights!
More power!
I am with OnePlus One and LG G4, and I've been thinking about upgrading to G5.
LG makes excellent smart phone camera, but the build quality has always been problematic.
So far we are having these issue on G5:
1/Bootloop
2/Screen Burn-in
3/GPS issue
If you prefer a reliable phone,OP3 is a better choice, but the 1080P AMO screen sucks.
I have both phones and I recommend the LG. I stopped tinkering and flashing roms. Oneplus is good for flashing new roms and do on not for anything else. My g5 doesn't bootloop or screen burn-in or gps issue. Camera, screen, sound extra sd card are the thing. Oneplus is an obscure experimental savvy phone
Well, my G5 (H850) is just perfect. Battery lasts about 5-6 hours SOT. GPS is also perfect.
I used to have OPO and @ItsNewDroid is right. You'll be flashing new ROMs almost every other day.
My vote goes for G5.
I'm using the H860 variant and so far no problems at all.

More power!

I Have the G5 for about 4 months now and the bottom line is just PERFECT no issues such as bootloops, burn in screen, GPS Performance is top notch aimply blazing fast i feel like this phone is pushing the boundaries of smartphones speed, my antutu score ia 147,356, The screen is the ideal size for the majority of people and the Display is stunning natural colors(not punchy like amoled which might seem strange but i don't prefer it), the build quality is great and i swear it feels like actual metal in addition to the VERY cold feeling every morning, camera is the best one
Verdict
Performance-Best among smartphones
Display-One of the best in the market
Camera-Main is magnificent and the wide is definitely not a gimmick
Hardware:- audio, fingerprint scanner and everything else is great
Battery-SOT 5 hours and 30 minutes on average
Easily the best smartphone ever
I had a dilemma berween S7 Egde and G5. Happy with my choice. I would have taken the S7 Edge if it offered a bit more in the camera department, but as it is...it's kinda limited. Oneplus offers really nothing better other than build quality and price. Oh and the cool volume switch. If I would buy a phone right now , it would be the V20.
Buy both OP3 and G5, first G5 if not satisfy go for OP3 I think, thanks
G5 for the win. Anyone change the battery every day? If yes how is the the bottom cover holding?any damage?
Sent from my awesome titan LG G5
Thanks for your input guys. I'm actually reading and watching G5 reviews. I'm now more inclined to get a G5 since LG also has a good update track record as of late

Same here : Don't own an OP 3, but my G5 is perfect, simply. No GPS, screen, bootloop issues and a SOT over 4h everyday with LTE and BT always on, I'm happy.
Hello guys! I was thinking on buying a new device. Currently I have Galaxy S6, but before this device I always had LG phones(LG G2, G3). I didn't like G4 mostly because of lack of fingerprint sensor silly reason but I use it alot. So now I was thinking on buying LG G5 or LG V10. I don't think I will use the modulars in LG G5(except maybe I will get an extra battery). So which one do you suggest for me?(you can make other suggestions also) Thank you in advance

Honestly, if you like custom ROMs at all, I would vote no on both LG phones.
I would rather be running CM versus a stock ROM + Xposed. Xposed just seems to have too many issues where apps or tweaks stop working.
I previously had a V10, then via a warranty exchange, they gave me a G5. I accepted the G5 since I decided the V10 was just too big and bulky and the G5 was newer.
Comparing the two, I prefer my G5 over the V10 still. I do feel like the G5 is much more fragile. It is just more plastic-y versus my steel-railed V10. Additionally, the latest software on the G5 is much more feature-filled and polished versus the V10. Don't quite understand why the V10 doesn't have a very similar build of MM, but w/e.
Alternatives? Maybe wait until Oct 4th so we can get a look at Google's phone?
I am probably a bad person for suggestions as it seems like no phone can meet proper standards for me... Now if say the S7 was built by HTC, unlocked, water-resistant, nice 5.1" size... Maybe I would have a new phone myself!

Actually I love custom roms but seeing the situation there are not custom roms not only for lg but also samsung. What do you think about Nexus 6p? I am just worried about it's camera, is it good?

Well, I guess I am a believer that all high-end device cameras are pretty darn good now; Isn't much of a noticeable difference between most of them.
Looking at some lengthy comparisons- http://www.androidcentral.com/camera-showdown-s7-vs-6s-vs-6p-vs-950, looks like it is kind of a toss-up.
What I can't speak for is how fast it is... When comparing my last few phones, Nexus 5 vs V10 vs G5; I would say the order is G5, N5, V10. For whatever reason, from launch to snap took FOREVER on my V10. I LOVE how fast the G5 is, I can take a photo in like 2 seconds, which is a big advantage to me.

It's much more likely to get fully working CM on a Qualcomm device like the G5 than on an Exynos device like the SGS6 or SGS7.
The Nexus 6p is outdated, I wouldn't buy a Snapdragon 810 device now.
The G5 is lightning-fast and has a very good camera. Also the battery runtime is good IMO. With CM or AOSP it would be a tremendous smartphone, let's see if the camera issue will be solved.
But however you decide, you have to buy what you like most.

Sorry for asking all these questions : but is there any development going on on AOSP ROMS for G5? If so what variant should I get?
Depends on you. If you like stock. G5 is a great buy. I don't mind if the H860 has no custom ROM for now as long as the stock official ROM is stable and usable and runs great. To be honest the stock ROM is great. Battery is good, performance is good and everything else. I'm happy that I bought G5. A big leap from my LG G2. Camera, gaming, video and the like are great. Custom ROM's are optional and depends on the user. I do like custom ROM but I'm satisfied with my current state of my G5. :victory:
If it's not too expensive I would go for the LG V20. I am happy with my G5, but I have an european H850 with unlocked bootloader and for a great price
Look into the V20 if you don't mind a larger phone
The phone hardware is amazing but it doesn't have many roms on the software side. I would still get it if I were you. I've had big problems with the Cam+ module I got as a preorder. 3rd one works fine though.
Honestly if you are going to get the LG G5. Get the V20 instead.

Well I would look at another phone then like the Axon 7. The LG G5 isn't aimed at students on a budget.

I can get a used one, or bad esn from US(which are very cheap) and unlock it(because I currently live in europe)
I really like it. It took some time getting used to it but I got it on prime day really cheap, so cheap in fact that once I sell it in 2 years I probably will not have lost any money
Battery life is good the cameras are awesome and it is really fast. If you can get a good deal on it, go for it
Heres a bit of an update for you guys!
> When Nougat is released it will be the Android 7.1.1 version.
-- It will take some time to finish, they are perfecting it as the USA version released too early and was found to have many bugs after release, the beta test was too short.
> Root is still in the process - Am unsure if this is for Nougat/Marshmallow and how this is going to work, but internally the process has sped up now, so we will see it after Nougat release.
Hope this helps.

I do mind, but it comes from ZTE.
Haha just kidding, its true what rikin93 said zte said that in the beta tester group.
good to hear
This is such good news!! Made my day
But 7.1 will take a bit longer. They actually testing it intern before we test it in the beta.
I sure hope that proper device encryption (including password at bootup that is used for encrypting the internal storage) will be supported for A2017G soon. They promised it for B10 but it didn't seem to have it made into that release. I still have hope that it will show up in Nougat. Is it actually present in the A2017U Nougat release?
There will be official method to unlock phone as you said few weeks ago ?

A2017U has a password ta bootup in Nougat. Wasn't present in MM.
Good to hear that but personally I have my doubts will get directly 7.1.1.
But ZTE should had focus from beginning to that version since have been delay the upgrade to 7.
Since we will get it within March so they are having plenty of time for preparation and no excuse of getting 7 instead of 7.1.1.

Not quite right
There's a similar topic on the official german forum about this. It was commented by ZTE staff yesterday:
"Hello Axon 7 friends!
It seems to be false statement about the update. I want to correct it:
ZTE Germany will publish Android 7.0 at least at the end of the first quarter of the year.
The confusion might have been occurred since the developers are already working on 7.1.

But before nougat update you have to stay with b10 or can i update from b08?

Excellent. I will have moved to a better phone by then.
The signal on this phone is so poor compared to other phones. The sound is great but the software is slow and buggy. The camera is awful compared to many mid range phones. And the support is just rubbish. I'm afraid it was cheap for a reason.
It is only the sound which keeps me using this phone. The new LG will have a quad DAC and that will remove that need. It's a shame but when you compare this phone to my main daily driver - an iPhone 7 Plus (I always carry two phones for various reasons), this is a poor relative, way way behind in 2nd place. If my Note 5 (my other alternative for my second phone) had half decent sound, this phone would have been sold ages ago....

Well with quality control issue with several LG flagship latest years I wish you really good good luck.
You will need 100%.
Also with 3200 battery at 5.7 inches with battery hungry and horrible quality LCD screen LG provide men you will be the best wall charging friends.
With the exception of low light camera performance everywhere else it's at top level and 6 months having the device not had any issue mention.
Before Axon 7 had S7 Edge so you can count that if wasn't pleased I would have returned back to Samsung very easy to me.

What utter nonsense. The modular G5 was plainly a stupid idea. The G4, V10 and V20 were much better. I suspect Samsung will also start adopting decent DACs as well.
Battery life? Also nonsense. My Note 5 has a 5.7" screen and a 3200 battery and lasts as long as, if not longer than, the Axon.
As to signal, I have tested the two side by side and the Axon always loses signal much more quickly. I am not alone in this - loads of reports of it. Bluetooth? Pathetic.

Low light performance ? What about average or high light performance. By modern standards, the camera really is appalling.
And top level performance? Really? Mine (and many others) has never upgraded itself. I have always had to download the updates and apply them. Each upgrade has brought major bugs and the OS skin is appalling (let's not even discuss the notification bell) and buggy. I am not being subjective here - put it next to a Note 5 (which has a much older processor and awful, slow touchwiz) and you will see how the axon is so much less smooth and really struggles when you put it through its paces.
I am not trolling - I have just been around for a long time and seen what is possible in the evolution of phones. Other than the sound quality (which is phenomenal, even if the Bluetooth strength is absolutely crap compared to other phones) the Axon 7 just does not stack up. It wouldn't be an issue if it had been a really cheap phone....
Yes, it is ahead of the OP3 (but probably not the 3T) but that is hardly a good benchmark, not least given the prices
Just my two cents. Not expecting agreement in an Axon 7 forum!!!
