[I need help] Wi-fi doesn't turn on. (LG-P760) - LG Optimus L9 P760, P765, P768, P769

I go into wi-fi. Then I click "on" . Text appers: "Turning Wi-Fi on..." and the button turn blue with a white text "on". Waited a couple of seconds and it went off, and it turned grey. Also The text "Turning Wi-Fi on..." is still there.
I tried to do a restart, a factory data restart. Everything is the same. At first phone worked fine, it had no issues, but later (about 3-6 days) the wi-fi's internet was gone and I couldn't connect ever since. The "bluetooth" is working fine, same as the phone's "data" internet. If you need information about something more, please, reply where can I find this information to send you the information. I'll be very happy if you can help me.
P.S. I'm not such a great phone program understander, so please give me direction for me if you want to get more information.

Hi, it feels like a hardware issue and/or a corrupt kernel. Can't you try flashing another ROM? Such as EdwinMoq's ones?

[Q + Possible Answer] Wifi Connection Problems

Hi All,
I just wanted to share with you a solution I've come across to fix a Wifi problem.
The Problem:
After several weeks of perfect performance, my phone became unable to connect to my routers at home. These are Netgear routers.
The only thing I can think of that triggered this issue was flashing a new ROM which included a Radio update. However I think I had this just before flashing the ROM!
But effectively, I was not able to connect to a wireless router. The phone would find the network, allow the key to be entered and would authenticate and try and obtain an IP Address. At this point, it would fail and disconnect. It would just loop like this.
Solution
I tried all sorts. Restarted the router, reflashed my ROM, flashed many earlier radio images, did a full factory reset etc... but each time I just couldn't connect.
Giving up, I rang Orange UK to get a replacement handset. After speaking to the tech guy, he told me he was going to send some settings to my phone... After a little discussion I still couldn't get out of him what he was actually sending. It wasn't APN settings, but as I told him, he doesn't have my Router settings so what on earth can he send to my phone to fix the problem?
However, after he sent the stuff, my phone hung up much to my annoyance!
But I thought, what the hell, so I turned my router off, turned my phone off, removed the battery, waited the magic 30 seconds ( I know, but I was humouring the guy before I rang back to complain about wasting my time )
On turning my phone back on, and turning my router back on... everything worked!!!
So, if you're having a Wifi issue, ring up your operator and see if they have some magic settings that they can send you, and at the very least, turn everything off, and remove the battery for 30 seconds and try again!
Hope this helps someone!
John

[Q]Wireless problem after OTA update 4.0.3

So, after my GF received OTA update 4.0.3 Build number : IML74K.
she is experiencing following wireless problems:
When she taps on WI-Fi ON, nothing happen.. Phone is acting like wireless is turned on, but not scanning any networks. She is unable to tap on scan networks, to tap on Wi-Fi off. When she restarts her phone, wireless is on, hooked on home network, and acting normal..
Has any one experienced similar things and, do you know any possible solution?
Thanks in advance folx

Just had same problem. Had to reboot phone to turn wifi on. Also after THIS OTA had few times problems with touch screen.
Yesterday, it just stopped responding on any touchscreen touches. Buttons worked, but not touchscreen. Rebooting helped.
Yea, and also another thing. In phonebook, phone could find names. I was typing some numbers, and it showed names which could be what i search, but not this time. After I clicked some numbers, nothing happened. Reboot helped.
All this crap after last OTA. Imho this OTA update sucks. Yes display works smoother, but lots of problems.

[Q] WiFi Dropping Intermittently

Extremely intermittent and hard to pin point problem I'm having with my I9100 and wifi...
I am using the Chameleon ROM 3.0.2 with Dorimanx 8.16, but this also occurred with Chameleon 3.0.1 and Jeboo 2.1.
This has only happened in the last few weeks, and there have been no changes to the phone or my home network to bring this on, and everything worked absolutely fine before. I decided to spend some time this afternoon trying to sort this out, and I've gotten no where.
On a fresh boot I can connect to wifi fine, and provided the phone stays awake, I can use the internet fine. But when I put my phone down and leave it to go into sleep, often when I wake the device back up, the wifi will be connected, but the signal icons will have turned grey, and nothing will work. Sometimes when this happens the phone will automatically drop and reconnect to the wifi, and others it will remain stuck and I have to reboot the phone. But sometimes this doesn't occur at all, and the phone wakes up and wifi works fine.
I have definitely checked the Advanced Wifi settings and the sleep policy is set to Never.
When this happens, the data connection doesn't take over, it's as if the wifi remains connected but somehow decides to refuse all connections. SMS and phone calls still work fine.
I have done several factory resets, and I am currently running the phone with nothing but the default apps in Chameleon 3.0.2.
I just signed into my Google account, opened Google Play to update things like Hangouts, Maps, Search etc, and I hit Update all, then locked my phone and put it down. When I picked it up again not 3 minutes later, all the updates had failed as the wifi had crashed(?).
I have tried another router, and it still happens. All other devices connected to either router have been fine the entire time (my laptop, desktop PC, Samsung Smart TV, Nook color with CM7 and an Amazon Kindle).
I have seen a couple of other threads about this, but none of them had any answers in, they were just left with people asking about it and not getting anything concrete. Is this going to be some kind of hardware problem and the only fix is a new device?
I'm at my wit's end here, it's driving me up the wall, I'd really appreciate any ideas.
EDIT: Being an eejit, I only just found this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2161978 I can't seem to delete this post, so I'll just leave my apologies here, please can an admin/mod delete this thread? I'll post in the other thread I linked to above.

Venue 8 7840 on 5.1 xxx1712 stuck on initial setup - Turning Wi-Fi on

Hello everyone. Just got my hands on this beauty, but I cannot for the love of any deity known to me get it to go past the second step of what is the initial, first boot of Android: it turns on, asks me to select the location and the language, takes me to the next screen saying "select Wi-Fi" and...that's it! there are no networks available and the only info I see is "Turning Wi-Fi on", which stays there forever. The device itself works fine I guess - volume buttons raise/lower the volume, the power button switches the screen on/off, I can enter recovery mode... I tried literally everything I could think of, from wiping the cache and the data, to trying to roll back to 5.0.1 (though I keep ending up with 5.1 somehow, but that's a different story).
Anyway, does anyone have an idea about what this could be due to? Any help will be greatly appreciated as this issue has got me going nuts over here
EDIT:
so, I plugged in the earphones and was somehow able to bypass that step! now, I can freely use the tablet, but when I open Settings -> Wi-Fi, the Wi-Fi toggle is gray and cannot be switched to 'on'; in ADVANCED, the MAC and IP addresses both appear as 'unavailable'; it seems as if the Wi-Fi module was missing/not working. what could this be???

I need help

Ok so to start off im gonna give you some information: my phone was rooted with magisk and it was running b360, it worked just fine until one day my wifi kept turning it's self off for no reason. That kept happening but not very often so i didn't mind it. Today my wifi wouldn't start at all(the switch thingy went blue then gray immediately) again and if i tried to turn it on again my phone would reboot.I then unrooted and went into safe mode to see if it would fix the issue but it was the same, so i tried recovering my data from twrp. That didn't fix anything once again, so i did a factory reset(that prolly screwed me over big time) after the factory reset i realized that my phone wouldn't finish the setup thing because it needs to connect to the internet to check for new updates. So my issues are that i can't seem to be able to access my phone through adb since when i use "adb devices" it doesn't show my device, and that my phone is basically unusable right now since it wont get past the "checking for updates" phase. So what should i do? Any help is appreciated!
*update*
I got past the "checking for updates" phase and i completed the setup by sheer luck(my wifi worked for a couple of seconds), but the problem still persists. My wifi can't be turned on, or when it turns on it stays like that only for a couple of seconds and then goes off again also my phone crashes from time to time aswell(usually when i mess with the wifi, but sometimes it just does it on it's own).
I know is abvious, but is WiFi+ turned on? That can turn off your WiFi for you if not near a saved hotspot. Could be a confusion between this and location services.

WiFi+ is turned off. From what I've observed so far after i restart the phone i can use the WiFi for about an hour or two, after that it stops turning on. But if i use it for about 20-30 mins, turn it off, and turn it on again after a while when i want to use it again, it works (obv if i use it for 1-2 hours the problem will occur again). So what I've been doing so far is just use it for about half an hour then turn it off until i need it, and repeat. I know that im probably not making much sense right now but i don't know what to do anymore.
