I'm sure that's the problem then. Boot into the bootloader and do 'fastboot oem unlock'. Remember it will wipe your data

I went into bootloader but it won't respond

I've been considering unlocking the bootloader and know that it then displays the unlocked notification on the boot screen. If you need to take it back for some reason and relock the bootloader does the unlocked message still stay on the boot screen or does it go away as well?
Thanks

Sweet. Guess that means you really can go back to full stock. Relock bootloader then reflash stock sbf.

Got the "super file is missing. Cannot reflash without superfine" problem. But my phone said its unlocked.
Was I successful? or do I have to restock and try again

super file? no idea what that is.
if your phone says unlocked at the moto start up screen then yes you are unlocked. proceed to installing clockworkmod and roms or whatever it is you plan to do
Hey all,
so I've come into a bit of a conundrum. I was playing with the MaximusHD Jellybean 4.3 ROM. It was alright, but not for me. So I decided to flash back to stock. After a bit of finagling, I got a Stock Rooted 4.1.2 ROM for my phone, and was able to flash it. But now, I can't RUU my phone back to complete stock. Relocking the bootloader produces a **Security warning**, which prevents booting. Now, with an unlocked bootloader the stock ROM boots fine -- but locked, it doesn't boot and goes directly to bootloader. Can someone please walk me through getting my phone back to normal? I've used the RUU before to return to complete stock once before, except I'm not sure what I've done wrong this time around. Any help is appreciated. Also, I have TWRP recovery (latest version), unfortunately without a Nandroid backup
My phone works fine right now -- albeit rooted. Thank you!
Try flashing a stock recovery before relocking.

Exact same problem here
Hi,
I have the exact same problem here, i've had my HTC One with a 2-year plan @t-mobile but with the stock rom i haven't had any t-mobile bloatware/splash screen. Is that normal?
Also if i flash a stock t-mobile rom it hangs at the bootloader.

I don't have S-OFF, but I can get it if necessary. Will that help me any?
Yes it will help. I am no dev. Once your s off you won't need to lock your device and can run ruu

Will this allow booting to my rooted ROM / will it remove the **Security warning** that prevents booting?

Unfortunately, flashing a stock recovery just prevented my device from booting normally. I had to reflash TWRP to get it to boot properly... unless I just didn't give the boot process enough time on the stock recovery.
You can put any recovery on your phone, lock it, and run fastboot rebootRUU from hboot to run the RUU.

Wonderful! I'll try this after school today. Will report back...
word, let me know if you have any trouble. :good:
I was installing a new ROM and mistakenly deleted everything including the rom and all sdcard files. I can still boot into recovery and fastboot but no adb. I have unlocked bootloader and s-off. How can I restore a ROM on my device??? Can I do it using fastboot? Any help would be GREATLY appreaciated! I have been trying to fix for 3 hours now
You should be able to push a Rom from your pc while in recovery, I don't know if it is an adb command as I haven't used the side load feature in recovery yet.
If you have an otg cable you can install a Rom from that also

Thank you for the reply. I was unable to get adb to recognize the phone while in recovery. I ended up restoring the device using the HTC ruu program. I had to relock the device to do this. I now have been able to restore my phone, installed TWRP, and have a rooted ROM. I still have s-off but cannot regain "unlocked" bootloader after "relocked" was done. How do I restore the "unlocked" bootloader now?
Thanks for the help.

When I was trying to flash the new cyanogenmod nightly, I mistakingly wiped the system in twrp. Now, I can't get passed the google boot screen and for some reason twrp isn't working. Also, my device is locked. Can anyone please help me?
If you can't get into twrp you're hosed. You can't unlock the bootloader to flash the factory image with out booting and you can't do that now. So your only hope is with twrp.
Do you still have unlock enabled in developer options?

I'm afraid not, every time I try to unlock the boot loader is says permission denied and refuses to unlock.

I assume you're trying fastboot oem unlock. If do you're probably screwed unless you can get in twrp.
