I had to fight this on 2 tablets now. The play store gives connection problems. I've tracked the issue down to the newer versions of Google Play Services.
Google Play services v 8.7.03 worked fine, such that Play Store never had issues. Then one tablet updated to Google Play services v 9.0.83 end of May, and another one just updated a week ago to Google Play services v 9.2.56. This screwed up the Play Store, which started to display the connection error. What's interesting is that if I manually re-install 8.7.03, the Play Store is still unstable, requiring me to sign in here and there.
Today I've installed a patched version of Play Store, the one that should not update itself (google for "patched google play store", select the link that also has the smiley app). Then I re-installed the 8.7.03 version of Play services. Regardless, within minutes, the Play Services got updated back to 9.2.56 (apparently, the patched Play Store does not prevent updates to Google Play Services). Yet for some reason this latest permutation seems to work, and I am finally able to get apps from the Play Store again.
There is no way to block the Google Play Services updates as we could do on FireOS 4.5.x ... The old trick with the directories named as apk does not work ...
Anyway, what the situation out there ? I am not seeing many reports, but the issues must be happening ! Please, chime in!

I've recently realised that apps I've downloaded outside of the Google play store (Apks from Internet) , but are in the play store market don't auto-update, the playstore doesn't even give me the ability to update them. This might be quite blatant, but is there a way to update my APKs from the Google play store, which have not been downloaded from the Google play store, or is the only option to manually downloaded updated versions from the Internet, thanks.
To update with the PlayStore they have to be gotten from the PlayStore. They don't update outside apps due to many security issues and no way to link them.
Hello,
I've got qumi q38 projector with android 6.0.1 installed. I'm trying to install google play services and store so I've installed latest versions of every library compatible with marshmallow:
Google Account Manager
Google Services Framework
Google Play Services
Google Play Store
Unfortunatelly right after installing Google Play Services, Google Services Framework is constantly crashing. Any ideas?
Regards,
Sebastian
Anyone made some gapps progress with this projector?
Still looking for an small android projector for holidays/trips but the stock Q38 android without official playstore seems pretty bad up to unusable according to some reviews
It recently was working, but I decided to update my EUI to the latest version as my camera was having some issues, then I realised that all my Google play services were replaced with Huawei's own apps which are really sh**. My dad's phone which is a P30 is working fine and Google play is on there and it is in the latest version of the EUI. 'Google play services' is still there but it isn't actually working or anything, my apps which were downloaded from Google play store is still working fine but I can't actually download or update any of them. Youtube and all that snazz is working until it requires an update which will kill me internally.

Just download and install Play store from apkmirror.
Contact Huawei or reset phone. This sounds like a weird bug.
I have a Yamaha Adventure Pro tablet that I bought with my 2019 Yamaha side by side. It's pretty neat because it IPX6 water resistant and interfaces with the vehicle (speed, temperature, voltage, etc.) but it doesn't have the Google Play Store and I cannot for the life of me get the Google Services fully functional (I have tried both the APK installs and the script install for Amazon Fire devices). Tablet is running Android 6.01 and is not certified for Play Protect Certification. I installed the Device ID app and submitted to Google for Play Protect Certification.
I have successfully installed Google Account manager, Google Play Services, Google Services Framework and the Google Play Store. I have logged into Google in the accounts setting and it syncs properly.
Problem is that Google Play Services constantly crashes and I cannot download anything or update anything using the Playstore. I believe the Play Services crashing prevents this.
All I really want is the ability download offline maps for Google maps. I have successfully download a couple maps but with Google Play Services crashing the tablet really can't be used.
Anyone have any advice for getting Google Play Services to stop crashing? I have tried different version, clearing caches and date of Google related apps and service and the Download Manager. I'm pulling my hair out. I regret buying this tablet but I cannot return it.
Thanks for any help.
So i've tried so many means of making this work but i'm here as a last resort. Ive got a couple of old tablets running android 5.0 ( Lollipop ) and they were custom made and distributed by a company called Five Cubits. Ive tried to contact the company to see maybe if they had a software update or system update so I could install google play services on it but I think its gone bankrupt I've left voicemails but no response. I've tried to install google play services on this tablet with root access and its saying google play services has stopped working on a loop, I've tried going back to install older versions to no avail. The device model is MDT7P2-01. My question would be to anyone who sees this post, is there anyway I could install google play services to have it work on the tablet and or if I could get android 5.1 update on it or maybe android 6.0. All help is greatly appreciated thanks.
@zoblod
Never heard of a crash report like "Google Service has stopped working" but of "Google Play Services has stopped working". Did you mean the latter?
FYI:
At the time you won’t get Google Play Store to install apps and if you download any app from an unknown source, then it will crash and display a message “Google Play services stopped working”.
Google Play Services autoupdates by default.
