Hey, I have a Samsung Intrepid with WM6.5 320x240.
Installed your program, asked me for a license code after I clicked on the icon. I did not have a license code, due to only wanting to try it. So, I clicked the close button, and researched a little to why it asked that. Tried to go back by clicking the icon once again and nothing happened. Uninstalled and reinstalled it numerous times and every attempt after I click the program's icon, nothing happens.
If an update is still in the pipeline this app would be a gem. At last something finger-friendly to replace AdvancedConfig. Just waiting for the WQVGA version as well now
Hi
Nice work on getting this app together, but...
On a stock SEA 6.5 ROM on a TP2, the finger friendly thing does not work.
The stock ROM allows for Explorer to be scrolled with your finger natively, but not something like 'Notes'.
I was hoping your app would add that functionality, but it doesn't seem to.
Cheers

[ROM] Bluetooth Tether ROM for Omate TrueSmart 1.1.1 [2014-04-25]

Changes for 1.1.1:
-Fix issues with being unable to reconnect after a disconnect -- no more needing to reboot after a disconnect
-Fix issue where the check box needed to connect to another device would not show up sometimes
-Fixed a blank toast message that was trying to report a disconnect, now shows a proper error message
-Updated boot logo to one with the teamwin text
1.1.1 is currently only being released as a patch to apply on top of an existing 1.0.0 install.
If you are already running 1.0.0, simply install the update zip. No wiping is needed for the update.
If you don't have my ROM installed right now, you will need to factory reset, install both the 1.0.0 zip followed by the 1.1.1 zip.
There is only one update zip for all models.
We need someone who has a 1GB/8GB/2100MHz model to contact us and supply a boot image from this model of device so that we can offer a properly working boot.img.
Mirror 1
Mirror 2
What this ROM does not have:
-Gestures for back and menu do not work out of he box (there's an Xposed module that you can install to enable them that is free in the Play Store or another app that does not need Xposed documented further down in this post)
-Status bar does not hide itself
-Home + Power does not take a screenshot (Xposed can add screenshot options to the power menu)
-No companion mode that lets you receive calls, texts -- use SWApp Link free in the Play Store for this
-AGPS assistance data doesn't download by default. Use GPS Status and Toolbox to download it instead. GPS is confirmed working.
-Camera is rotated 90 degrees
-If you open the camera app and press the button to use the non-existant front facing camera, the app will FC. You will have to clear app data on the camera app to use the camera again.
-Many APNs are not included. You might have to add yours manually. This is a tethering ROM, not intended to be used with a SIM card.
-Some of the numbers on the stock dialer are not accessible - may be able to fix this with xposed and change the app's dpi.
What this ROM does have that stock Omate does not:
-Fully working native Bluetooth tethering to your phone including push notifications
-Fully working settings app including the ability to delete and change account settings
-Already has EnSec and build prop tweaks
-SuperSU
This is built using some MTK 6572 source for a different device. As such some things will be a lot different and that is the reason that items like the gestures for back and menu do not work.
You do not have to start with a stock ROM. This ROM will completely replace your existing system and boot/kernel.
Download the correct zip for your device. If you don't see your model listed, contact us and DO NOT install:
Mirror 1
Mirror 2
Install TWRP if you haven't and make a backup of your existing System, Data, and Boot
Factory reset
Install zip and reboot. First boot will take longer than usual
On first boot you will see the Welcome screen. Tap in the 4 corners of the app itself (not including the status bar) in a clockwise fashion (see here).
On your phone, turn on Bluetooth, enable Bluetooth tethering, and make your phone visible for pairing
On the watch, open settings. If you don't have a SIM card in the watch, go to more and check the box for airplane mode.
Turn on Bluetooth, find and pair with your phone.
Click on the Settings icon to the right of your phone's name (this is on the watch) Tap on Internet access.
Enjoy!
You will probably want to install Xposed:
You'll probably want to download All in one gestures from the Play Store.
Open Xposed Installer in app drawer, tap on Frameworks. Tap Install/Update. Grant root rights.
Still in Xposed, hit Ok after the install is done. Press the back button (icon in the upper left will also go back). Click on Modules. Check the box for GravityBox and All in one gestures (and probably any other modules).
Still in Xposed, hit back, Frameworks. Scroll down and reboot. Click Okay.
After reboot, open app drawer and find GravityBox, scroll down to Power tweaks. Check the top box for Advanced reboot menu and the box for Screenshot.
Open the All in one gestures app. Tap on the Swipe tab. Enable it. Scroll down to Left Area and tap on it. Choose Menu. Scroll down and tap on Right Area and choose Back.
Click on the All in one gestures icon in the upper left to slide open the menu. Tap on Transparency & Color. Slide the second slider all the way to the left to get rid of the glowing icons on the left and right.
You now have screen shot capability and have restored the stock gestures.
Press and hold power. Press Reboot. Press Reboot. Press OK.
Other recommended apps:
PNF or Push Notifications Fixer - You can use this app to change the frequency that the watch pings Google. When your phone changes connections (e.g. mobile network to Wi-Fi) the framework notifies all apps including apps like Hangouts that the connection has changed so that those apps can reconnect and get push notifications. Unfortunately your phone will not tell your watch when connections change. This app will help you start getting push notifications sooner after a connection change.
GMD Gesture Control - The free version can add a back button gesture. You'll have to buy the paid version to get the menu gesture back.
If you install Xposed framework, you can install this free module called All in one gestures and tweak it to enable gestures for the back and menu buttons.
Notes:
Bluetooth tethering had to be slowed down quite a bit to prevent the driver from crashing. We've slowed it down by setting the tcp buffer sizes really low. You can change the values of net.tcp.buffersize.bt to tweak it if you like. The crash seems to be kernel level or maybe even chip / hardware level.
Bluetooth on MTK is somewhat unstable. If it disconnects due to a driver crash, you may have to reboot the device to get Bluetooth working again. With version 1.1.1, you can probably just reconnect without having to reboot.
I am very busy. I probably won't have time to provide much support for this ROM. I don't owe you anything. If you don't like this ROM, I'll refund your full purchase price of free.
Special thanks to @Lokifish Marz @AdamOutler @toastcfh and @kuronosan

Thanks but after installing goomanager. It says denied supers request. How do I fix that? How do u boot in recovery mode if my power button isn't doing anything when I press it? When I want to back up of my system is that done via goomanager or supersu?
Sorry for all these questions as I'm not familiar with this process.

Haha, love it!
You are a great dev Dees. It's people like you that make this place what it is, a haven for tech lovers. Great job!
First thing I did was install myglass app and try and connect it to glass and it still crashes. Oh well hopefully we are going to get something good out of the source release. Thanks Dee's for all you do.
Sigh.... after reading this I got up to install the patch. The watch slipped off my wrist and fell on the floor. The metal clamp came off but I was able to put it back on then found out the power button wasn't working. I don't know if it was the result of the fall but while I was looking at supersu I might have hit on something and the watch rebooted then got stuck until the battery drained out. Is it possible that the power button was disabled?
WOW, so I get mt watches on a Thursday and the best ROM yet comes out on Friday? I couldn't be more excited .. Awesome!
Not that I wont be installing this , just a quick question.. @Dees_Troy what version on the standard android mail client is included in this rom? I havent been able to get my watch logged into exchange. this is a big deal for me as I need to calendar to sync my appointments. Email and contacts from exchange on my watch are not that big a deal for me but the appointments are. Thanks and looking forward to checking out your efforts..
I use gravitybox to enable the navigation bar @60% on stock rom, but can't get it enabled with this rom. is it completely pulled from the framework or is there some other trick to enable the navbar?
Installation aborted
While attempting to install this ROM, I keep receiving the 'Installation aborted' message in recovery. I'm running Loki's setup on my 1/8/1900mhz Omate. Also, when I plug my watch in to my laptop with USB debugging mode on I cannot execute any adb command prompts.
I don't know if the two are related...but I'm sure it is something I screwed up.
Any thoughts?
After install I am having apn issues. On Loki's operative I can get H+ data but only Edge with this. Any suggestions? GoPhone APN settings are correct and have also tried the Att one too.
Everything else seems great so far. Testing BT with Glass next. Will update the post afterwards.
edit#1- I can successfully pair Glass as a headset and also bluetooth tether data. MyGlass does not force close but will not connect when it sees the device.
edit#2- APN settings are borked for HSPA+....
unable to use for internet access
when i check the box to enable internet access, nothing happens.
I am using 1/8/1900 TS

Can you include Feature X into your ROM?
No. This ROM will have CyanogenMod's feature set.
Can you include S-Note/S-Planner/MultiWindow/Insert Samsung App Here?
No. This is an AOSP ROM and cannot have TouchWiz applications.
Can you include call recording?
No. CyanogenMod does not include call recording to avoid potential legal issues.

No. I don't work on stock ROMs.
What kernel does this ROM use?
A slightly modified version of the stock kernel, the source code is linked above.
How to change the density in CM/RR/ACIP
For this you can change the DPI of the display, go to Settings > Display > screen Density > of the list to select the desired density.
For ACIP to go to Settings > Advanced settings > Screen and animations > screen Density > from the list choose the required density, or specify your own.
I've heard that Broadcom doesn't release source, how can you make this ROM?
Contrary to the popular belief, userspace driver source code is not always required to make an AOSP-based ROM as long as the proprietary binaries shipped with the device does not modify the API too heavily (or is from a very different version of Android). Instead of modifying the source code of the drivers, the Android source code was adapted to be able to use the proprietary binaries.
Will you make this official CM?
Due to the amount of work and commitment involved, I am not planning to make an official CM port.
Where can I see the numbers on the SIM card?
In the standard contact manager, you can only import them.
Continued
Can contacts be saved to phone/SIM?
No. It is not supported in AOSP-based ROMs.
Can I send files over Wi-Fi Direct?
Yes, but you must use third-party applications. The implementation provided on Samsung ROMs is not an open standard. AOSP/CM does not provide a native way to send files over Wi-Fi Direct.
Can I mirror your ROM?
You're free to, but I will not list it in this post.
Will feature X from a previous version of CM be implemented?
I don't know, probably will be, eventually. I don't really involve myself in the feature-set side of CM.
Will you add OTA support?
No.
I cannot add APNs
Make sure you set the correct MCC/MNC code, the APN will not appear otherwise. Also make sure to use menu -> save (back button means discard).
In CM13/RR 5.6.5-5.7.4/AICP11 installed WhatsApp but can't send a photo, how to fix?
Very simply, you need to restart the device.

V2.0.1:
- Parameter "Ignore playing state": Activate it when music app seems to not be compatible with CarService (music does not pause or play when pressing SWC buttons)
- Bug fixed : SWC/Music service continues to run when it is deactivated
V2.0.0 :
- New feature : Phone status on notification bar and home widget
- UI has been fully redesigned (more beautiful !)
- Now, it is not required to restart application or reboot the unit to apply changes in parameters
- 2 key-codes parameters by functions (e.g. to map "Next" button from both steering wheel and front panel)
- Added "Rewind" and "Fast forward" functions
- Added "Behavior" settings category : you can disable some behaviours managed by app like "Pause on mute" etc ...
- Now, buttons triggering is ignored when any of built-in applications (Microntek app) is running (not only radio)
Known bugs with the widget : some problems with the size. If your home screen allow to resize widgets, insert it in an almost empty screen and resize it, then move it where you want. I will fix this bug as soon as possible.
RemotePhoneStatus:
The client application to install on your phone. It sends the statuses to CarService through WiFi on local network or using your phone as a WiFi access point.
WARNING : For the moment, this application drains battery when the service is ON ! So it is highly recommended to enable it only when you're in your car.
You can automate starting of the service with Trigger or Tasker app :
Use activity "com.keisersozey.remotephonestatus.ActivityStartService" and "com.keisersozey.remotephonestatus.ActivityStopService"
Or by sending intents (no tested yet...) : "com.keisersozey.remotephonestatus.action.START_SERVICE" and "com.keisersozey.remotephonestatus.action.STOP_SERVICE"
V1.1.0:
- Fixed bug : sometimes app does not find CarService application
V1.0.0: first release
Find it also on http://huifei.fs-fileserver.de/ on "release directory"
CarService : new version coming soon
I'm currently working on a new reworked version of CarService with improved functions and new features :
Music:
- SWC Control of a large list of players : by now, are supported : PowerAmp, Google Music, Spotify, Deezer, JetAudio, N7 Player (More on demand)
- Change current controlled player from SWC button or widget
Phone calls:
- Make a call or answer from a standard dialer app (tested with ExDialer) or from vocal command with Google voice
- If you're fed up with the bad quality of the head unit Bluetooth, use an external Bluetooth handset or built-in car Bluetooth system by connecting its audio output to the head unit audio input. CarService will manage to switch-on audio input when making or receiving call. Using this method, it will be possible to stream music from Phone by switching-on audio-input with a widget button.
Improvements:
- Restart service when leaving sleep mode
- Start service earlier on boot and be able to use SWC controls as soon as possible
- Be able to customize actions on SWC button by starting a Tasker script
- Visibility of phone status notification icons configurable.
... and more
When it will be ready, this version will be available on Play Store at cheap price and a trial period.
UPDATE: On my Todo-list:
- Support for players : AIMP, Pandora, Player Pro, Rocket, DSub, Napster, Slacker, MTC Radio, MTC Music, Rhapsody, Pocket Casts, Wavesink (DAB+)
Player does not react
Hi,
i tried your app on my head unit (kgl rk3188 1024x600, i think). After setting it up, i can see the "next" and "previous" toasts pop up, but google play music doesn't react. Do i need to have my head unit rooted? Or is there something else i could have missed?

No need to root.
Do you have another player installed ? (like poweramp or another one)
Is "Spotify control" parameter unchecked in the settings ?
Also, Google Music has to be the default player.

Amazon music
Hi, Could you add Amazon music app?
Thank you
Great app, however i've got 1 problem i'm trying to fix.
Am using poweramp as my player, and Carservice controls it fine.
When I switch to Radio, Poweramp stops playing, however when I turn off the car, next time I start the car, the radio app starts, and Poweramp starts in the background and plays where it left off.
Any ideas on how to fix this? I can probably create a llama profile to work around it, but thought it might be a very simple checkbox i'm missing or something.

Did you activate auto-play on Poweramp app or on CarService ?
How is the "new version" coming along? if you need a beta tester i'll help out, no problems

It's disabled on both, so not sure what is causing it to start.

Maybe Startup Builder App ?
Cheers, turned it off there, now it doesn't auto start, so time to figure out how to get it auto playing *only* when it is in focus

Vocal commands will work only for call, using "Ok Google" feature
EDIT - i just read the post for your new release and it looks like you are addressing everything here.
i have a newer model deck i just got, it has a different letter combo than the ones on the wiki and is made by eonon. Same quad core cpu as the others and your program worked with some fumbling with the settings: with the default ones the buttons did very odd things, i had to turn off some options and got them working!
A few things i meant to ask about:
1) when i turn off ignition but deck only goes into standby, when it comes out of standby the service is off and i need to re-enable it. I'm planning on doing a tasker profile to fix this, not sure if you were aware of this or if anyone else has this bug.
2) If you have a phone connected the buttons will still control spotify in my case, but it will start making my phone stream as well through the bt app, so they are both playing music and being controlled at the same time, a fix for that is i disabled media playback on my phone. Pretty sure a proper one requires a modified bt app since its clearly poorly written if it cant detect something else is playing music.
3) The service loads last on boot, which is normal since its not registered as a system service But it kinda sucks and it would be great if it could be made to load as system and have priority. I havent played around with android code in a while, i remember there was a way to do this, wondering if you know how? When i did it i wrote my service in C in NDK and I had it registered to start on boot, i remember you can add it to a file, i have not touched the SDK much so not sure how that works out, but it should be similar.
Otherwise great job! Thanks for creating this.
I have small problem with CarService.
When i turn Phone Status OFF, after next boot it's ON again.
How can i permanently disable Phone Status? I need only SWC/Music
You need to turn it off in the subsection for Phone Status settings, not just the top level menu. This caught me out too

Disadvantages and My Questions About Pie OneUI on S9+

Hi, im using Pie on S9+ for some days and found some options has been removed/moved and some changes are really bad.
1) Did frameless icons option on Oreo has been remove in Pie? All icons are with frame at the moment. Is there any way to get rid of this frames without changing theme or icon set?
2) They changed Contacts app. I was able to set "Google+Phone+Profile Sharing" as "showed contacts", now they moved to left menu and can only select all or one account like Google. So they removed custom list feature on oreo.
3) recent apps section is bad. they should bring back old one (one under the other) as alternative like on goodluck 2018 app. it is good for sliding but needs to be improve.
4) If i use gestures as navigation, how can i open google assistant with home button (was holding to home button)
5) They removed to disable bixby button. but you can still disable bixby with adhell or notsabs. also new bixby is worse.
6) They should add sliding and animation between on system apps. for example "keypad, call history, contacts, places"
7) They removed location settings. We cant select "save battery, only gps, Now it is automatically gps+wifi+mobile networks or they hid and shouldn't i find?
8) i have gear s3 classic. there is a problem with bt connection, there is interruption on almost far rooms. it wasn't any problem before. if someone use gear, can u check? also "connected gear xxxx via bluetooth connection notification is too big. it was able to shrink as very thin in oreo.
9) there is a problem with enterprise wifi networks that needs certificates.
10) old font on aod, weather clock widget, app names was better in my opinion. some clone phones were using "new font" like font.
11) there is no schedule for night mode. this should be added.
12) they should add old full screen navigation as 3rd option.
13) if they move volume setting to right or left (you will able to select) it will be better for one ui.
14) i think new icons are worse. also they didnt change samsung music's icon.
15) peak schedule feature in samsung email isnt working for @hotmail.com emails as microsoft exchange. it's working on gmail or outlook. i know outlook and hotmail are same. but tried with lots of mails, they arent working for hotmail
16) i realized night mode is for all apps but got disappointed, it's for only system apps, so this is nice too. so continue with swift installer for black in all supported apps.
17) there is a blank between keyboard and the end of the screen. there was navigation bar on oreo but it looks strange on pie. maybe they should extend "move" option of keyboard.
18) still there is no option to import chrome passwords to samsung internet, or export/import samsung pass' data.
19) They moved game tools to notification area on games as unremovable.
19) they should bring back video button
advantages:
one ui is better for one hand usage.
they added "app info" to 3d touch (app shortcuts) back.
if u even disable rotating, if you use landscape in settings, a black hole will appear on the corner to rotate.
they added alternative option for aod to tap to show for 30 sec.
battery is almost same. little bit better.
system ram is about 500 mb, it was more than 1 gb (~900MB-1,2MB)
everything is rounded up.
4g+ video chat is now better.
i recommend backup everything and reset the phone if you are upgrading oreo to pie for better battery and lagless use.
some animations are better.
these are the things I can remember. of course you are free to agree or disagree with me. If you know my answers of my questions and have additional comments please write.
4) if we swipe up and hold, we get google assistant. Other ones are still exist.

1) if you find a way to disable the frame, it would be awesome to share it.
7) It's bullsh** indeed, the workaround is to use "ShortCutter" and its location toggle (you can choose between 4 modes).
17 made me going crazy so I installed gboard
I noticed that the multitasking mode sometimes is showing a weird animation showing for 0,1sec the apps in the app menu in the background

Question about icon Bluetooth :
When I activate Bluetooth and a device is connected, I have the Bluetooth logo that appears in the status bar on the home screen.
But : when I enable Bluetooth but no hardware is connected, the Bluetooth logo in the status bar of the home screen no longer appears, unlike version 8.0 Android.
As a result, if the Bluetooth remains activated, as the Bluetooth logo does not appear in the status bar, I no longer know if it is really activated or not. In concrete terms, if I don't use Bluetooth, I turn it off to hope for lower battery consumption, but since the logo no longer appears... you have to scan the screen down each time and check in the settings if Bluetooth has remained enabled or not: it's very annoying!
Does this function seem normal to you? (under 8.0, the Bluetooth logo appears as soon as it is activated, regardless of whether or not any equipment is connected).
I hope I've made myself understood, and thank you for letting me know if you see the same thing in yourself.
