First i want to ask is
What the code to use local_manifest.xml i creat?
(I find it "repo init -m .repo/local_manifests/local_manifest.xml"
But some threads i read they replace "-m" by "-u" ?!?)

The seconds i want ask is when i Emulator ubuntu on window,does i need "install ubuntu" ? Or i just choose "try ubuntu" for Build Rom.

My phone has no official or unofficial CM supported ROM. I want to compile one myself.
I have builded the Linux environment, and sync the source code.
So now how can I get to start? Should I change the Drivers? or anything else?
Is there any complete Tutorial or Guide for that????? I have searched but I can find nothing about that!!

i am trying to build REVOLT ROM (the Jb 4.2 version for now) from source for my device - Xperia LWW (WT19i/coconut)...nd i am using UBUNTU 12.04 LTS 64-bit environment...
i am facing an Error during the final ROM.zip creation...so i request:fingers-crossed: any1 with knowledge on ROM building or anything...to help me solve the Error wich iv'e posted here... http://pastebin.com/gqzphg4f
The ROM works fine from the emulator as is obvious from the screenshots i've attached below...
ABOUT THE ERROR (what i know/got to know from others) :
its something wich is got to do with the ota packaging file which is not compatible with coconut source
the --no_assert parameter in the Revolt Rom's Script is causing the error...

the --no_assert parameter required by the "ota_from_target_files" script checks for the parameter in my device's script "semc_ota_from_target_files" but as it does not occur in my device's script the error occurs nd the build stops...
WHAT I HAV TRIED:
i hav tried commenting out (inserting a '#' infront of the line to make it unexecutable by making it as a comment) all the occurences of the parameter in the "ota_from_target_files" script but it was in vain as i got the same error again:crying:
CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG ANYWHERE...
PLS PLS DO HELP ME ON WHAT SHUD I DO TO SOLVE THE ERROR??

Why don't you just use a file from XperiaLegacy and remove the assert check manually (if it's necessary, of course)?
Where are the device trees you are using ? I want to check the sources ...
Update : Now I can see it .......
Try checking the device tree you use in that file and compare it with a similar device ...
I don't build for that device so am not fully aware of it ..

i have downloaded source code from https://androidforums.com/threads/src-zte-avid-plus-z828-source-code-for-developers.1102439/ and i wana to build this rom .. i had followed this thread '' https://forum.xda-developers.com/chef-central/android/guide-android-rom-development-t2814763 '' but i could'nt do it coz this man in this threat working for CyanogenMod but i wana make zip file (( stock one no edit or nothing i just wana make AOSP .. any good developer help please . coz there' s no rom for this device in all google please help ................ ???

I am compiling Resurrection Remix Pie ROM for Samsung Galaxy Grand (GT-I9082). The build completed successfully but the ROM zip is very small in size(~45mb). So I think I'm doing something wrong. I suspect that the apps are not compiled with the ROM and I think it(the compiled zip) only has the minimum stuff. The command I issued was "brunch i9082". I read somewhere that adding full- to the make command compiles the rom with the apps included. But when I give the command "make full-rr_i9082-userdebug", "make full-i9082-userdebug" or "make full_i9082-userdebug" as well as all other combinations...(even with aosp_arm-) I always get the invalid device error.
What should I do to compile the complete ROM.
Hoping you would help me.
If you want me to attach anything or want more information...please let me know!!
