Is there any way to upgrade to the latest 6.01 through TWRP recovery?
Also, what should I tick in flashtool if I need to upgrade to the latest official FTF and keep my recovery and root? I'm on the official 6 firmware with Androplus v31 and TWRP recovery and would like to avoid a full wipe!

Hello, OTA just downloaded new update on my phone, but I am not sure if I can safely apply it... I run through whole therad and I can see, somebody was succesfull with OTA update somebody not... I have stock rom IMM76D.I9300XXALF2 with custom franco.Kernel r10 and rooted with CF-Root 6.4 + SuperSU + CWM5.5 + CWMManager. So question is, if I can use OTA update, or should I firstly remove custom kernel back to stock kernel and use OTA even if rooted with CF-R 6.4 or use OTA even with custom kernel and CF-R 6.4 or dont use OTA at all Thanx very much for help
If you do not have stock recovery the update will fail.

If I understand it right - because I used CF-Root 6.4 with CWM so now I have CWM Recovery not the stock one, so I downloaded my current whole stock ROM, unpacked it and there is recovery.img <- and this is stock recovery? So now should I flash it back to phone to get stock recovery back?
After flashing the last german rom 6.0.1 with xperifirm, I am not able to enter the recovery mode. I followed all the tutorials, all possible combinations with the keys, all programs (with and without root), etc.
Any ideas?
As far as I know, you flashed with ftf rom, which wiped thoroughly custom recovery. You need to revert to 4.4 kitkat, root it, get custom recovery, than flash it with android 6.0, but only using flashable prerooted rom in zip file with custom recovery

Use build number 314. It is available on XperiFirm. Use XZDR .21 to install the Xperia Z Dual Recovery. It will temporarily root with TowelRoot to be able to installa the recovery. After the installation the phone will reboot; now you have 2 choices: Install the SuperSU .zip to keep root on KitKat or directly install a Marshmallow ROM

I'm currently running resurrection remix and I want to update to official cm13. I have not installed the official mm firmware/emui 4.
I know I will have to flash that first, but I need to flash the stock recovery first, right? I'm not sure which firmware version I'm running, so I don't know which version of the stock recovery to flash.
How do I know?

What is the first version you can get? Use that stock recovery.

It may help you
Guys,
I was wondering a couple of things:
1. I am using a Resurrection Remix 7.1.1. Do I need to install the 1205 firmware or the 1115 firmware is enough? If I need to install 1205, is there a safe way not to risk having my bootloader relocked?
2. I am using TWRP Recovery (alka) 3.0.0-0. Can I safely update to ZCX TWRP?
Some firmware versions always lock bootloader. I'm not sure if the ones you mentioned will do so. I'd suggest you ask on the respective thread. And as for the recovery, as far as I know, you can upgrade/downgrade/change type of twrp without any risk

Hey feel free to flash any firmware which is created 1115 or afterwards,....... your bootloader is not going to relock!
Bootloader is relocked only if you are flashed miui global stock ROM!
Thanks a lot guys, I succesfully upgraded both TWRP and firmware
Hello I am on Oxygen version 2.2.2 with root and kernel 3.4.0-blu_spark-OOS-5.1.1 and recovery TWRP v 2.8.7.0 blu_spark r9 what are the steps to upgrade to 3.1.4 Oxygen? - Some links to a guide? It is a bit confusing: /?
Thanks in advance
Sincerely Rene
You want to use stock recovery from 2.2.2 to flash 2.2.3 followed by 3.1.4 then boot. Make sure when reflashing TWRP you use the latest from TWRP website. Not sure if you need to flash 2.2.3 but was said to pave the road for 3.X.X.
Stock recovery ?
How do i get stock recovery back ? I am on TWRP 2.8.7.0 blu_spark now

You download stock recovery and flash via fastboot or flash in TWRP. Many tutorials on going back to stock you just need recovery part.
