I have a keyboard cursor on my TWRP screen on the latest for kenzo?
Anyone else have it?
I used alka twrp on my redmi note3 pro without problems except the time/date on the backup file. Not big deals.

Hi all.
So I just got a RN2 from a local shop that brings in the RN2 here.
So I'm moving from an Zenfone 5 to this. How to best move my data like SMS and call logs and app data?
Also I see that there's a few bloatware that I can't remove like CM Cleaner or something like that. How to remove those apps?
I also read a bit before hand and it seems like sMIUI is easiest to have clean ROM and quite stable. Should I just do that to make sure no malware and such?
Dunno if this helps, but I'll just list this here just in case:
model number: redmi note 2
android version: 5.0.2 LRX22G
MIUI version: 6.7.10.0(LHMCNCH)|Stable
kernel version: 3.10.61+70948e9b-b583f-52eea33f
build number: LRX22G
Thanks.
Install a rom from xiaomi.eu or a smiui. You'll get rid from bloatware.
For the data it depends to your old phone. Has it got root permissions?

Ok, so install titanium backup on your old phone and do a backup. Then restore it (using titanium backup) on the Redmi Note 2. Remember to install the xiaomi.eu rom (the weekly).

Use smiui is also as good as a weekly rom from xiaomi.eu, right?

I installed the latest smiui version for redmi note 2 from zero (wipe all data) with twrp and root, but the only one mistake is that the theme manager of miui is not going, i cant download anything there neither see the preview. HELP.

Crash on MIUI stable 8.1.1.0
Hello everyone, I'm new and this is my post (tho it's not new for me to mod my phone, have been doing it since Gnexus time and loved that phone until it died.)
Coming to the topic of the post, I've been trying to install the LineageOS to my redmi note 4x, but when I try to do that the TWRP locks me out with error 7 and doesn't let me go forward. Any suggestions? I've heard that the 4 SD and 4x are basically the same but with different LTE bands, so I have no clue on what is wrong.
i had the same error code when installing a rom on my apollo lite.
Please try the following:
start phone in recovery mode (twrp), go to Mount and uncheck "system"
optional: do a factory reset and
install the rom
I hope it helps you.
Greetings,
lymbra

Thank you for the reply. System in "Mount" was already unchecked, thought the factory reset before flashing the rom apparently did the trick, as I'm seeing the boot animation of LineageOS right now. I'll post furthemore if I need anymore help.

Yeah sure, I've got the lineage os since my last post here and it's been working fine. Network is a little bumpy but it's still unofficial so I'll take it.

So basically you can flash ROMs for Redmi Note 4 (Snapdragon) to any Redmi Note 4X (are the same devices?) ?
PS: Thank you for quick answer!

Yeah, basically the 4x is a redmi note 4 SD but with more bands unlocked. In fact, the global miui for the redmi note 4 SD goes without a hitch on the 4x
