Hello!
Last week i bought a galaxy ace, with yoigo, and it seems i cant flash new roms
I downloaded a one-package (last version) S5830XWKPW and flashed, but mobile drops an error, something like "error appling csc" cannot access to "system/csc/YOG/csc"
When the phone rebooted, odin didnt detected it, and when i saw the firmware version, it was the same ( it didnt change with the upgrade)
So what do you think, i tried rooting and creating the YOG folder, and reflashing again, that way there isnt any error, but the firmware didnt changed at all, so the result was the same....
Do you think my operator has locked the bootloader or something??
Thanks!
try the full package instead. those one package usually missing data.rfs
did you put your phone to download mode first before flashing ??
for flashing first put your phone to download mode ,
1)switch off the mobile
2) press volume down button + home button +power on button together
3)in screen it will come "downloading...."
4)connect to pc
5) now flash your phone
Happy flashing
thats how i did it
i checked using *#1234#
the csc version is updated, the phone version should change too? or the pda?
Did you use the proper ops file?
cooper.ops?
yeah
i used that archive, but just my csc version is updated, not even phone or pda
is that normal? can any of you post your version??
thanks!

Try flashing the phone - S5830XWKS2 ## country - netherlands csc - S5830XENKS1 version from here http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3&t=1&o=1&m=GT-S5830&r=1#regiona
Warning - If your phone is operator specific your sim won't work. But, your phone will boot successfully so there's no harm in trying this. Try this and see if your sim works.
One more thing - The default language is "netherland's language"
So after flashing you need to change the language to your required language in settings
Aham i think i understand why you selected that netherlands version, with my pda version, the compatibles are France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, UK
and from that page, i have to pick one that isnt linked to any operator
so i cant just select one with yoigo(my operator) or other with no operator linked
is that??
PD: i will try to flash next week, because i want to try a little the phone battery and that stuff
thanks!

If you bought your phone from yoigo then it means your phone is carrier specific, and you "might" face problems. But if you bought your phone from any store and you are just using yoigo sim then you can flash any version, I dont think you will face any problems
Please press the thanks button if I helped you
Hey, I have an SK17i locked on Orange that I flashed with stock UK firmware .58 (2.3.4) from WotanServer and now the phone wont accept ANY sim cards, nor connect to any WIFI signal.
It also loops in the regard that it wont save settings and asks to select language everytime I start the phone.
Ive tried a few different firmwares from the wotan server. Tried using flashtool with firmware downloaded from these forums, with no success.
Any help really appreciated as im struggling to find what the problem is.

try this firmware and flash it using flashtool
make sure to wipe everything and don't exclude anything
Download Sk17i Firmware Global
Thanks for the firmware, I did try it but I had the same issues.
I resolved it now, I had to unlock the phone (Network SIM Lock) and now its working fine. I wouldnt want to guess at why the original SIM that came with the phone wouldnt work on a debranded firmware but maybe someone here will incase someone else bumps into this problem.
Thanks.
Hello there,
i have a smartphone vodafone 890n and recently after of an official update of the stock rom my phone keeps rebooting at the system recovery screen...the only thing that i can do is to get it only in fastboot mode..
I did a hard reset aswell but there is no changes on it,everytime that i power it on boots into the system recovery mode...
even the sdcard doesnt work...
any change to fix it? my phone has no root, was in the original state!
OTA update failed -> vodafone 890n bricked
Hello Filippos86,
judging by your nickname, I guess it was the Greek version of the vodafone android (4.4.265.21.T3.141007.KTU84P.VF.GR). I got the same problem. After I have agreed to an over-the-air update (which was annoyingly popping up for a month or so) the phone got bricked the way you describe. By the way the update has not applied due to some permission errors, as the messages were stating.
Did you manage to have it fixed somehow? Did you take it to a vodafone shop? I am abroad for the moment so I don't have this option.
Thanks in advance
P.S. A friend of mine has an updated version (4.4.317.16.T3.150915.KTU84P.VF.GR) installed. He is a bit older and he could not understand what I was talking about. Obviously updated without realizing, but it works for him. Theoretically that is the version that I should have had after the update.
Hi
I need a Greek rom too.
The vodafone stores want 18 euro to flash a rom.
I want to do it for free
Please if you find a Greek rom let me know.
Have you find a greek rom? Please help me...
EDIT: I'm trying with a STOCK ROM, not Custom... I can't change the title of this thread, sorry.
Hi everyone!
I bough my SM-G9650 in Paraguay and I'm from Brazil.
There they use the csc "UPO" and here we use "ZTO".. Because of this I can't use Samsung Pay for example.
I tried factory reset (and wiping from recovery too) my cellphone and installing the most recent custom rom zto through ODIN (most recent) but the csc still UPO.
Anyone can help me?
My SIM Card is from Brazil and in any try it not asked for apply the configurations from this SIM card.
If your device is factory unlocked try with a SIM from a another Brazil Carrier , that works for example using the last ARF (Multi CSC OWO) in México , if i put a Telcel (Mexican carrier) SIM in the first boot the device don´t ask anything and the CSC is from CHILE (CHL) , but i repeat the process (With a SIM from another carrier installed) and in the first boot the device ask for a factory reset to apply changes and my csc change to "MXO" (Mexico).
Try that.
A few days ago I got my Samsung A21s (SM-A217M) and I wanted to test out different firmware regions (choose the one where I live) so I downloaded 3, one was from Brasil and the other 2 are from here (tripled checked the CSC) but when I try to flash the correct firmware from my region it passes but when the phone boots up it looks exactly the same from the brasilian firmware, same network providers, apps language, etc. I have even tried just flashing the CSC but nothing has worked at all. Is there something that im missing? Is there another method that will allow me to change to the correct firmware?
