Hello guy's. i Have a problem (sorry my spanglish, i'm argentinian, I not speak english).
I have a motorola e 1st generation. With Lollipop 5.1.
Bootloader locked, and stock ROM. Before yesterday started "camera busy" with whatsapp, error when i open my camera app, I clean caché, stop process, reboot, wipe cache, wipe data, hard reset.... but camera not started.
A first moment reboot in safe mode and i can take a photo and film.
I thought it was a conflict of app.
Yesterday i unlock the bootloader, install SU, and a optimized Stock ROM. But camera not started, "camera busy".
In safe mode: can take photo, but now not, not started.
Help me! i will set fire this. Thanks
Look like hardware malfunctioning get it to service center but first unroot and install stock recovery to get ur warranty back.
Feel free to tap on thanks.

Hi been having problems with my SGS3.
The fault is it keeps rebooting its self, sometimes you can get on the homepage but after a minute or so it'll reboot again. If i use the rear camera it works fine, but as soon as i use the front camera it says camera has failed. To use the rear camera again i have to clear the camera cache. Also when i use S Voice the phone freezes. I'm using 3UK Firmware Jelly bean stock and the phone is not rooted.
So should i RMA it or is there a solution to the fix..?
Any help would be greatfull.

Believe that a software error.
Use Odin or Samsung Kies to flash new firmware.
Firmware can be found on sammobile.com
Think that should work
try a factory reset, but you will lose data, so backup first
i've done all you mentioned but no luck. RMA it this morning.
Two days ago, my MOTO E 1st gen (unrooted) got fully discharged. After I charged it and switched it on, it couldn't detect the sim. In fact the sim slots were blocked/ grayed out in settings. Also the wifi was not turning on. I did a hard reboot. No change. Then I did a factory reset through the settings option. After the reset, when the phone started I got a pop-up -Unfortunately, Google app has stopped. I OKayed it. Then another pop-up - Unfortunately, Google Keyboard has stopped. And this message kept coming every time I touched the screen (Later I saw the while scrolling it was not coming, but only on tap). I selected language, then the next screen the phone was attempting to start WiFi- turning WiFi on.... But it was not able to turn on Wi-Fi. I waited 8 hours to see if it could. I decided to skip it. But without wi-fi I can't restore my backup. Also SIM slots blocked like before. The factory reset made no difference. I then did a reset through recovery option (Vol. down+power button). I wiped the cache. Made no difference. The phone is still the same. I also noticed that it was not charging when switched on. It was charging when switched off. There is no hardware or liquid damage. It was working perfect before the battery discharge. No apps were installed recently. I don't know what software issue caused such a thing that even factory restore is also not working. The sim is fine and working on another phone. MOTO E 1st gen. Android 5.1. unrooted.
Further research: I skipped all the steps and came to the home screen. Went to the Settings>Apps>All. There I disabled Google Keyboard. After that -Googe app has stopped kept popping up. Disabled that, then Settings has stopped. After OK, I'm back at home screen and Launcher has stopped. Now, I cannot do anything. Restart in safe mode. Keyboard and Google app are already disabled. Enable them but their stopped messaged keep popping up. Disable them again. Same pattern repeated in Safe Mode - "Settings has stopped" then "Launcher has stopped".
I am currently out of India and have no access to a Motorola authorised service centre.

root your phone, flash twrp, wipe everything, choose from large collection of roms from xda
OR
go to service centre
Try to reflash the stock firmware.
please ref this link
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2759495
And it also not require unlocking.
Could you please elaborate on the first step. Links would be fine too. I've never rooted my phone and some of the terms you mention are new to me. Thanks for your reply.

there's guide here on xda about everything i said you just need to search....or on google. follow the guide step by step and you won't have any problem
by the way why not take it to service center (out of warranty?) or better yet follow the guide @GNVM gave
or if you are ready to root and follow everything ,, shoot me a message
Hi, Thanks. The links looks helpful and doable for a noob like me. I'll let you know if it worked for me. Thanks again for your time and reply.

I could have gone to a service centre (though out of warranty), but I'm stuck in a foreign land (West Africa). Here, there is no Motorola service center. In fact, the only phone brands that are available are Samsung, Nokia and Apple.
I'll try to follow the guide provided by @GNVM though some of the links there are missing.
Thanks a lot again for your reply. I might shoot you a message too.

Some days ago I installed a Resurrection Remix Rom (I actually don't know which one, sorry. I just know that it's got Lollipop) and when i went to the camera it said: <<Can't connect to camera>>
I still had warranty, so I installed the stock rom (I checked the camera and it still didn't work) and I sent the phone to the company. IMPORTANT NOTE: In the warranty ticket it said <<SOFTWARE ERROR>>
The only camera I can use is the "selfies" one
When I received it, the error was fixed, so I tried to install another ROM, so I installed CM12. But... I got the error AGAIN and I haven't got warranty anymore
That's what I tried
-Install Reset Camera and Camera (CMFix) (Camera CMFix didn't open and I had Restart Camera Installed :v)
-Checking if an app is having troubles with the camera
-Rebooting in safe mode
-Holding down the volume/power/back
-Clearing Data and Cache of the camera
-Removing my SD card
-Renaming the DCIM folder
- youtube. com/ watch?v=Fa9qggQJ990 (I can't even access to that menu ._.)
-Find “Use NuPlayer” and uncheck it & restart
-Using other camera apps
-Disabling the Google Camera and using the default one
-EDIT: I installed the Stock Rom with odin and did a factory reset. I even did a "system reset" with odin. AND IT STILL DIDN'T WORK OMFG. Then I tried to update the camera firmware (youtube. com/ watch?v=Fa9qggQJ990) because I've got KK now, but the "Phone/CAM FW Ver Check" is disabled. I googled my camera Cam FW Ver and it's not old
Thank you, I'ts a really annoying error. My S3 is giving me too many troubles, I'm starting to hate it... But I can't buy a new one :crying:
OHMYGOD I CAN'T FIND A WAY TO FIX THAT ERROR HELP PLEASE
//reposting because nobody answered :v

If you're confident that its not a software issue, then go ahead and unroot your phone and show it once (sometimes the problem maybe that the camera slot just got loose). But 'can't connect to camera' is common from cm12 onwards. Maybe its a kernel problem. The fact that stock firmware also failed is something abnormal. Even in a few Touchwiz roms, kernel changes led to cameras not working.
Anyway, If you're still on stock rom do to the dialer and enter
*#7353# quick test
*#*#4636#*#* for test and information
*#34971539# for Camera Firmware Update and
*#7412365# Camera Firmware Menu

I did *#7353# and tested the camera and it told me Can't connect to camera again, I can't choose "Phone to CAM FW Write (Main)" in *#34971539# and *#7412365# and *#*#4636#*#* didn't work
I guess It's a kernel problem
Thank you so much!
Hello, I'm Laurent from Belgium. Juste arrived in Taiwan couple of days ago.
I put CM13 a couple of months ago on my beloved S3. (I9300 from belgium)
Everything was fine, sometimes camera plant and just have to reboot.
But Monday when I arrived in Taiwan (pity) I wanted to take a picture and than big freeze and the phone totally blocked. It was on a boot loop (logo animation).
Arrived at the hotel than I try others CM (nightly and snapchot) with or without gapps and flashed correctly but still on a boot loop, once he arrived at the first step (choose language) but as soon as i touch the screen freeze, than boot loop again.
I arrived finally to get the stock rom and put everything back on 4.3 (from updato.com/firmware-archive-select-model ).
Can't use the front camera, rear camera and flash:
- The stock camera app: i see all the buton but don't do anything if I touch them (settings, color, switch rear/front ...) and the screen is black. the menu button on bottom left just propose me "edit shortcut"
- All other app: instagram and others don't work (it launch but do nothing when I push the picture button)
- Flashlight app freeze too, when I launch, black screen and the flash never light.
- When I used the code *#0*# (or something) it launch the soft but if I choose "mega cam" black screen and than "test factory is not responding" (now the front camera work with this test factory)
- when I used the code *#34971539# to launch "camerafirmware standard" I just have this title on the top but again nothing under, black (not the menu with upgrade camera firmware etc)
I try so the full wipe and reinstall without wifi etc (so don't go on my google account dl straight app etc)
I try the app manager: force stop and clear cache and clear data.
I try a small package fix camera found in a thread here
I try recovery and wipe cache, wipe data, factory reset ...
I bought a screw driver and open it and move cables etc (not totally remove the motherboard
I try to put an other kernel.
I try to update the camera firmware by recovery (but don't know if it can work or not)
I read and read and read so many thread all over google hours and hours ...
The thing is that so the flash doesn't work either: when I install the flashlight it tell me "need to access camera" so say yes of course, but so plant when I launch, so means that the app try to pass by the camera driver to open the flash no? problem is that I can't update the firmware as the samsung code plant also. I don't know if on stock I can install it by an other way or either remove/reinstall camera driver or stock camera app.
I was thinking to buy a new phone here anyway but no in a hurry and the first month here in taiwan I want to travel so take pictures as well I will try to find an old shop with broken phone and replace the camera.
ps: I'm not sure about the carrier/region of my phone ! is it possible to find it somewhere? with iemi or SN ? When I use kies he told me I'm already update, but I'm not sure if I have the right stock rom. (everything else work fine so)

FDD ID: A3LGTI9300A
SSN: -I9300GSMH
IMEI: 354793/05/342885/2
S/N: RF1CAEFX6HB
(internet connection in the hotel is slow, I need to go to a coffee shop to DL rom, so I can't try every other stock rom )
Thank you if you took time to read uh uh
yeah, just read some french thread.
Apparently this is a well known problem. Hardware camera...
Will try to get one for cheap.
But I don't get it that the flash and the camera stop to work in the same time. Are they linked ? if the camera is dead, the soft won't detect it so ll not run so the flash won't work as well ?
I've Galaxy S4 Verizon - SCH1545 with 5.0.1 Lollipop and Baseband 1545VRUGOF1. Bought a month ago, it worked fine for 15 days but then sound went off. Also I was unable to play any video nor any application is working. Getting error of Unfortunately UI has stopped and(App) is not responding. Upon trying below steps, sound comes sometime and app works fine then but it doesn't stay long when again starts same behavior. I get it when start phone and it doesn't play the sound when shows Samsung logo.
1. Cleared the cache of Play Store, Google Framework and Google Play Services
2. Wiped cache partition and Factory Reseted
3. Rooted the device
4. Unable to install TWRP or CWM
5. Odin gives Nand write error
6. If phone stuck with "Use Verizon Software Repair Assistant...", able to bring it back by CF Auto JFLTEXX-GTI9505.tar.md5. Although Odin gives error but after error, I disconnect the USB cable and phone starts
7. Tried Verizon Software Repair Assistant and Samsung Kies to update the firmware but same issue
8. Can't find GooManager in Play Store. Installed by APK but GooManager doesn't find any list or unable to find Script (to install TWRP)
9. Rooted the phone. Confirmed by Root Checker but Flash Fire shows "are you rooted?"
will be very thankful for anyone who has idea or had same problem.
As far as I understand custom recoveries are only available for MDK. Your best bet is to odin your current build and start there.

I don't mind any rom or whatever settings are. Just want to solve sound and other issues I'm facing.
I tried Samsung Kies and Verizon Software Repair Assistant to reload the firmware but still the same issue of sound goes off, youtube, apps and videos don't play.
I know its not hardware problem because this all gets ok sometimes after maybe reset, wipe cache, clear play store/services storage or factory reset... then goes off again after some time.
thanks for the reply
noticed one more thing. If I keep it off for few hours, the sound come back. And again goes off after some time.
