Hi,
I've recently been playing with the boot animations, and have successfully created my own bootanimation.zip which I placed inside /system/media. Before my boot animation plays however, I get a white screen similar to the one shown below (slightly different, and also an image, not an animation).

This isn't in my bootanimation.zip, and I have no idea how to delete/ change it. Anyone got any ideas?

The other screen is called the splash screen. I really miss splash screen modding, it used to be my favorite thing to make back in the original Android days. Most people don't bother changing it because you only see it for a short second or two. I'm pretty sure you can use fastboot to swap them though. I just had to do one on a moto e 2015.

I made an attempt to create my own bootanimation, I don't do graphical work period so it came out as I expected except that at the end of the animation I have an unwanted frame repeat itself which clearly looks out of place and I don't know how to fix it as simple as it seems...could someone tell me how to fix it? this way when I create some more for myself I will know what to do to not have it happen again. Thank you.
I've included a video using Bootanimation previewer to show what I mean. And I've attached the bootanimation.zip for you to look over. Thanks again.

I had this prob. When I set my f.p.s to high for the animation. Try lowering it and see what happens.didn't see the. Zip attached. So I couldn't look @the desc. File.

It was a naming issue.
I took the liberty of renaming all the files to a triple digit number (000, 001, etc) using a BULK RENAMING UTILITY found here: http://www.bulkrenameutility.co.uk/Download.php
That fixed the problem.
I also decided to make a bootscreen version (with sound)
Just my $0.02

That's great thank you I'll be sure to remember this for the next time.
I'm new at this whole root and flashing stuff. Is this a file that you flash just like a rom? Which file do I use?
Well I've been looking all up and down google for this, if anyone has a copy of the original AT&T boot animation handy, I would appreciate it. I found 'A' version of it, but its not the same. I had to re size the images to get it to run smoother, and its still not that great.
EDIT: Here is the current animation I am using. It includes an HTC animation I made, and loops the AT&T 'rethink possible' animation (twice on my phone but will vary depend on your boot time). I've managed to get it pretty smooth for our phones.

EDIT2: Got the real one, no sound though. RUU'd back to 2.1 to get it. Had to modify the Desc.txt to work with CM7. Removed the single HTC splash screen that flashed before. Still not as smooth as I like. Rename to bootanimation.zip and place in your /data/local/ folder.
Really? Nobody has a rooted 2.1 that they can pull the bootanimation.zip off of?

Added the current AT&T bootanimation.zip to the OP that I am using.
Got the original bootanimation from 2.1. Added to OP.
These are some boot animations that I originally made for the MT4G, but ported them over to the Amaze. I actually never released the Door of Time animation I made, but here it is. I give it to you guys instead. Keep in mind that I am not a great photoshopper, so it doesn't look like the most amazing thing in the world...just a simple animation.
Here is a video of the Door of Android that I never released. (kind of blurry cause my non-amaze camera sucks, and I don't have an SD card for my MT4G)
Here is a video of the intro to Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past (with sound) that I made. (Again, same crappy camera)
If you'd like to download them, you can get them here:
1. Door of Android
2a. LOTZ: LTTP
2b. LOTZ: LTTP sound
If you use the Energy ROM like I do, put the bootanimation.zip (and the .mp3 if using the 2nd one) in /system/customize/resource and that'll do it for you. If you don't use Energy, you may have to poke around your ROM until you find where they keep their bootanimation.zip, and then replace it with one of these two. Hope someone can find some use for these.

Hi. I noticed that there was a bootanimation.zip lying in /system/media. How come nobody has tried to make custom boot animations for the tab yet?

Some of us have. After reading this GUIDE and comparing what the guide said with what was found in the Sony tablet's bootanimation.zip file, I was able to create my own boot animations. It's a task that requires a fair bit of time and imagination, but in the end, your tablet truly is yours.

I did a bunch of custom boot animations for my old Galaxy Tab. If there's definitely demand, I could try and port some of them over to the Tablet S. Same goes for special requests, if anyone's got any...
maybe we can use other device boot animations

Hey guys, Here's a logo.bin file and boot animation.zip file from a mix of the Nexus 6, and the Google Play Edition Moto G that I've created to work with our device (the logo anyways, the boot animation already worked fine). The logo.bin file needs flashed in fastboot with the following command
fastboot flash logo nexusLogo.bin

If you wanna go back, just get your hands on a factory image for the device, or if your lazy, I've attached my own backup as well ( the logo.bin file)
The boot animation zip isn't flashable, and should be instead place in your system directory, replacing whatever you have in there now which is located at..
system/media/bootanimation.zip
Again do a backup to be safe, renaming the old file boot animation.zip.bak or something with your favorite root exploring app.
Thats all, Cheers !
This boot animation can make the boot faster?
Exist one that is light and making the boot faster?
