It seems like a conspiracy... Neither Remix nor Phoenix are able to run Opera Mini...
So what's going on here, what's the real issue??
Cheers.

Arm version runs fine on 64bit RemixOS (need to download app as playstore version is arm64 only); specifically the problem is with arm64 libstagefright.so and the app libs.
Not sure about PhoenixOS as that is 32bit only so should have downloaded arm version from PlayStore.
Opera mini beta also seems yo work fine (with arm64 libs by default)

Thanks for the info.
Hmm, I'm on 32bit RemixOS but the thing doesn't work (tried the arm), that's strange... same thing on Phoenix...

Have a look at the crash log at /data/tombstones/ or enable crash report via Developer Options.
What version number are you getting from the PlayStore?

I will take a look at the crash stuff...
My PlayStore doesn't work for some reason (when I click on the icon nothing happens, same for the Google settings), so I downloaded the arm apks from apkmirror, and the versions I tested are: 15 (stable) and 16 (beta).
I don't know what's going on...
Should I switch to the 64bit Remix?....
Thx...

It seems pretty nice, however the is an inaccuracy at the end.
VLC works without any problems on all of them(including video), you just need to install the x86 version, rather than ARM or ARM64.
And Firefox has issues on all of them(although I can't remember what they were, perhaps with the virtual keyboard).
Thank you for your comments. I was not aware that there was an x86 version, but found it and tried to install it. It did not install for me on Android-x86-6.0-r1 or on PhoenixOS-1.1.0, but it did install on RemixOS-3.0.204. Howevever, still no video. Any ideas?
As to Firefox I have not been missing the virtual keyboard, as I am using my PC's hard keyboard.

Sorry, perhaps the VLC issue is due to the PC's setup, I don't have any dedicated GPU, only using Intel's integrated solutions.
As to Firefox, I also use the hardware keyboard, not having a touch screen, however on Remix OS, I cannot set the language of the hardware keyboard to languages other than English (and perhaps also on Android-X86, I don't remember).
What about Cyanogenmod x86 version?
Also.. Spmc for x86 works better then off kodi from gmarket in my experience
And If you Google.. then you can find the ISO versions of PhoenixOs
Cheers, and thanks for showing the difference between versions

I have not had the time to check out CyanogenMOD, since my time is pretty limited, due to studying and searching for a job.
By the way, I am a noGoogler, so I generally remove GAPPS from whatever rom I use.
Have the same problem on RemixOS - resetting the keyboard language does not change it - it stays with English.

Source 4pda.ru

In this thread, you can let me and the Remix Team know what issues you are having with your AMD-based systems!
Before you report any bugs, check this thread by my friend @Vioner : http://forum.xda-developers.com/remix/remix-os/solution-problems-booting-remix-os-dual-t3466027
Also, don't forget to send full bug reports here too, here! Made by Jide!
My only issue is that I have no sound from HDMI port

Yes, that is correct, although I am happy about that, Jide has been going downhill. It's a shame to see that happen
Have you tried the latest version of Remix OS by any chance, if so, how is it?
Regards,
Mohamed

I share your thoughts on Jide's and Remix OS's present situation, and yes, I have tried it, however it refuses to boot on my desktop (i3-540 CPU).
When I'll have the time, I hope to try booting it with the latest Android-x86 6.0 kernel.
I am bored of Android and don't have enough money to buy iphones so I want to try Ubuntu touch but very few Nexus devices are officially supported.
They do have a detailed guide to port it to any other device but i Don't have knowledge about how to build it. I am noob and it isn't my field (I am a Mech Engg Student ?)
So it is my humble request if any dev could build it for Redmi 3sp?
This is the detailed guide:

I have also added a manifest so you can build it yourself. I am not interested in releasing a pre built as I wouldn't even call it stable
I purchased an A10e only to find the app I wanted to use the phone for is only compatible with 64bit android. As far as I can tell the phone has a 64 bit processor but 32 bit android. I am not really familiar with rooting and have recently "soft bricked" a phone that I was unable to figure out how to restore to normal.
Is there a simple guide to upgrading android on the phone?
No ?*?

I mean... it COULD be possible.... maybe (?)
After seeing Exynos 7870 get a 64bit vendor I'm thinking anything's possible
Try looking around the Exynos 7870 SoC to see if you can get some clues on how to get a 64bit vendor on this phone
XDA should be a good place to start

Ok lol
does anyone know how to modify the stock os file running 32 to 64 bit please help? because there is no android version that supports 64bit released by samsung, so it has to be customized, i just need how and where to customize the latest rom version. The help is to install android with 64bit support when there is no version released by the manufacturer which is a silly answer. I think 64bit support but running on 32bit makes the phone run faster and svae batery, and 64bit on that phone may slow down your phone and only using some 64bit apps can be smooth. As for 64bit applications that require powerful processing, even if you can install them, you will have problems with lag and overload
