Title. I really want to install xposed but it needs deodexed ROM. I am running on 5.0.1, is it possible to flash a deodexed rom, and if so, where can I find one.
Same, I've tried a bunch and none seem to work for me. Not sure why but if there are any updates/new versions then I'd love to know....
Same......my deodexed didnt work and i cant get stang to load properly
Am on stang5liter 5 edition, from op1,using FlashFire app on Google play.
You have to leave system checked on the FlashFire system menu so the process success.
Am using Xposed modules, almost custom rom and faster than the original op1 rom.
I hope it help someone.
IAM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR KILLING YOUR PHONE.THE USUAL.
I switch ROM's about once a month. There are five available and I have tried them all. Stang5litre is my go to. I can't figure out what you all are doing wrong. Do you have The latest SuperSU and Busy Box installed?

I suggest doin a bit of research next time. Its been posted atleast 100 times you cant install a custom recovery on me7. Your phone will.still boot if you shut it off then use the buttom combo for download mode and then deny it. I also suggest downloading the stock me7 image and flashing it so you get back your stock recovery. Check out the safestrap thread in the general and dev sections, hashcode is working on a method to get custom TW roms on me7.
Hit thanks if I helped you out. Doing a little bit of reading goes a long way. Sent via tapatalk.
Oh yeah if you want some customization google and download "xposed framework" and the wanam module from the play store. I went from a custom rom to an me7 based stock rom in conjunction with xposed and wanam and its pretty damn good IMO. Youll atleast be able to give it a custom rom feel.

I might be a little confused here. For instance hyperdrive rom shows it supports me7, but we cannot get custom recovery to install it? is that correct?

It has an me7 base for the rom. The me7 firmware on your phone wont let you flash a recovery. The Rom base and the firmware on your phone are two different things.
Ok..so i admit, Ive stuffed up AND didnt take a nandroid backup.
Rule #1..take a backup!
Secondly, Ive been running stock 2.22.707.6 for a while, and although my phone is unlocked (tried a few custom ROM's in the past) I prefer the stability of a stock ROM.
I wanted to install Awesome beats V.5, which requires SU, busybox etc installed.
No problem, installed SU and busybox, root access all working fine and ran Awesome beats Aroma installer V.5. All completed successfully.
BUT..now I have no sound from the speaker OR headphones. Looks like it maybe doesnt work on Stock DX ROM's? (are they AOSP?)
Anyway..to my question. Id like to re-install to 2.22.707.6 (Im CID 44) so I can do one of two things. Either go back to stock, root again, then remove/re-install everything
OR..
Is there a DEODEXED 2.22.707.6 ROM floating around? I can find CKPV5's excellent tut on restoring to stock, but if there's a pre-rooted, deodexed stock ROM then this would make things easier?
How do I get to 2.22.707.6 from the current deodexed version of 2.20.401.5....OTA updates work still with this?
Thanks for any help you can be.
u have CID 044.
There are many stock NANDROID for 044 available. Search in Threads.
(As they are nandroids, so you will get complete factory stock so future updates will be fine, IF ANY arrives. Just follow the restoration guide and restore nandroid then reflash stock recovery and you're done)
I'm also on 044, so u are indeed covered.

Thanks for the reply neXus,
Yep, I'm aware there is a stock 2.22.707.6 that I can re-install, root, install SU, busybox, adblock etc and then uninstall all the bloat from the stock 044 ROM
But..being a bit lazy is there a deodexed 2.22.707.6 ROM? and if not, if I use the 2.20.401.5 deodexed ROM as a start point, can I then run an OTA update to get it to 2.22.707.6?
Cheers
No, there isn't a deodexed version for your software version. And you can't run the OTA on a deodexed ROM. So you have the choice of either install a different ROM or deodex your software version yourself (using android kitchen, there are many tutorials for that on XDA, jsut search for it).

You can't run pure AOSP ROMs on NC5. There is a way to get the GPE ROM to run, you can find the instructions here... .
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2817708
Be sure to follow the instructions to the letter if you decide to flash. Echo is also pretty legit.
Havent Tried Echoe Rom Yet. Its Downloaded, Not Installed. I know about Gigilie's Ports and those are the ones where Wifi and Mobile Both dont work. And then when i go back to my eclipse rom slot, wifi doesnt work either so i gotta odin back. IDK what im doing wrong. Gonna try Echoe rom after I do a backup of eclipse with all my settings and important apps.

I pasted the wrong link in my previous post. I changed it though and it links to the GPE process somebody else discovered. You flash these https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23501681358539843 after gigilies ports? I've flashed all of his ROMs and never had an issue when I flashed the modules before reboot.
Just flashed Chaos Rom and that. Get google keyboard has stopped working and no mobile or wifi. Guess im just with eclipse, Unless you can do something for me if you still have one gpe rom.

Yes
hi, i am new to this forum and also to the rooting process..i have rooted my note 3 and with some help from here also got me a custom recovery installed.. now i would like to get a custom rom and was wondering which would be the best one to have and also if i could be pointed in the right direction on how to go about doing it..i really appreciate the help..thx!
Read the sticky threads. There is no such thing as the best ROM. You should read about the process and read some more if you don't know how to flash a ROM.
You could brick your device easy enough so take your time and research thru the note 3 forums.
Good luck

First, head over to my thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-3-sprint/general/samsung-note-3-rom-flashin-basics-t2896440 and get the info to flash a ROM. The very first thing you should do is debloat your stock rom here is my thread for that http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2770729 . Take your stock rooted, and debloated ROM and make a backup of it so you always have a base to restore from if something goes wrong. Also make a copy of your efs file its on the root of your system you can find this with a file manager like Root Explorer. Put the copy of efs file in a safe place, if the one in your device gets corrupted you will need it. A few simple things up front will make flashing fun.
As far as which is best is up to you, remember anything ported from another type of phone will always have things that don't work. With AOSP roms like CM 12 you lose features on your note 3, but you gain speed and simplicity. ALWAYS remember what version of KITKAT your on like NC4 4.4.4 and choose a new ROM that is based on the same version KITKAT you have on your device. Enjoy!!!!

Decisions decisions....
I'm in the same boat. I've just read through the different ROM's available for NH7.
Could someone point me to which ROM is the:
Cleanest
Closest to STOCK
Fully functional
Lightest (without all the crazy extras that are almost never used)
Most stable. No beta's, if's, maybe's, might work ROM's (certain functions, apps, features etc...)....
I'm setting up a sprint phone for my sister....so nothing fancy. Turn on. Turn off. No bugs. Stable. Something that just works without all the bloatware.
Thanks guys.

Well I'm going to assume her device is on NH7. There are two rom out there freeza's NH7 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2472664 ( go for the odex version ) or the Classic Rom NH7 http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-3-sprint/development/classic-rom-4-4-4-nh7-t3012725
Neither of these roms is debloated, but with a little work could be daily drivers. OR if you want something stripped down and stable you could with AOSP (KK) C-ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2739968 run it with a LeanKernel here is the link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2488233 and that's about as minimalistic as you can get.
Last option what I did for my daughter. Downgraded the device to NC5 the most stable version of KitKat removed KNOX, and debloated it myself there is my thread for that http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2770729 .

Excellent. Thanks for talking the time to guide me in the right direction.
Yes, the phone is currently on NH7 at the moment. You had mentioned that neither of freeza's or the classic rom is debloated? I take it that I'd be able to uninstall and just delete the apps that I don't need yes?
Going the ASOP KK C-ROM sounds enticing coupled with using the LeanKernel....hhmmm...... Will the Note 3 lose any of its Note functionality by going with the ASOP ROM? Any known issues?
When you downgraded to NC5, did you just leave it stock and manually de-bloat it? If doing this is the most stable for KK, I may just go this route. I did read the thread about debloating...great stuff....this seems to be the cleanest while on the stock ROM....
Thanks again!

Yes you can delete/uninstall/freeze app you are not using. Anything not running gives you greater battery life and a faster device. Please remember to make a backup of your stock your rooted NH7 FIRST !!! That way if you delete an app and something goes wrong you can can restore the backup and start again.
AOSP has come a long way, most of the note 3 features work, a few small features don't. But as with all AOSP roms they designed to be streamlined and fast so you do give up some features for that. I debloated NC5, there is stuff on these KitKat roms you will never use, stuff for other countries.
I used to root and flash like crazy on all my previous android phones. When I got my s5 last June, I just rooted it so I could use Ad Free and let it be.
Now I'm wanting to get it up to date on lollipop. Doesn't have to be the stock ROM, but close to it, maybe just slimmed down a bit if anything.
Can someone tell me, based on my version in the screenshot, what the procedure is at this point? I know when I used to be doing this all the time there were always new tools, recoveries, methods etc. that needed to be followed to avoid bricking or any problems so I don't want to just download the first lollipop ROM I see and flash it since it's been nearly a year since I rooted the phone and haven't done anything to it since. Thanks very much for any help.
EDIT: I should also mention when I boot to recovery it says it's Android System Recovery, so it appears I never had CWM or TWRP installed.

dont go lollipop its not worth it, im currently downloading kitkat firmware and i will downgrade as soon as i can
Use twisted lollipop v5
It's built off kitkat base but lollipop rom very cool stable and some tweaks . You do not have to be on official lollipop update to flash it .Just root flash twrp recovery for t-mobile s5 download rom and flash
It's in android dev section

Is the se for android permissive?
Whatever u do, don't go lollipop. It's full of annoying little problems. I rooted and I should have stopped there. Rooting doesn't affect Knox. I changed get the recovery to twrp and tripped Knox. Mind u, just to check out the roms. Decent roms but all the ones that have lollipop all have the same b.s. Errors lollipop comes with. Oh and u can downgrade incase u upgrade and don't like lollipop. It won't affect Knox.
?twisted v5 is good, I've been running it. I also flashed dob1 firmware.
