Hello. So I've had my Galaxy S4 for two days now, rooted it fine day one but am now having an issue. My Wifi toggle worked fine up until about 3 hours ago, now when I try to enable wifi, the toggle blinks green slightly for about half a second, then just shuts off again. Has anyone else had a similar issue? I am not on any custom ROM and am on the stock kernel.

Probably not super useful to you, but I had this happen to me out of nowhere on a custom ROM, and the only thing I could manage to do to get it working properly again was to re-flash my ROM. There's not much else you're able to modify while using the phone to try and get it working.
What version stock rom or you on? And the baseband? did you do an update?
That is a kernel issue. Flash a different verizon loki kernel.

I've attached an image of my current versions, I haven't done anything besides root it with Odin. My issue is that I cannot flash certain kernels because I need an official samsung kernel to use. I have to keep my flash counter at 0 with TriangleAway in order to use Screen Mirroring.
What can I do to get WIFI working I used TWRP and Alliance ROM build 26.
This is the second time I re installed this build. The first time worked WIFI fine
Second time problem....I re installed back up and then original installation with no luck

Did you try to ODIN the MJ9 firmware (rooted/unlocked) after the ROM is installed ?
I was successful at getting this running buy reinstalling the alliance Rom about 5 times and it finally worked.Thank you for your response but honestly I am so glad worked because i have no idea what ment with your fix. Lol I was never good at foreign languages.
I still have one problem with the phone and that is when someone called me their number comes up as a number from outside the country
Any idea?

Hey all,
I downloaded and flashed MM this past week. I *did* root my phone using the latest supersu 2.74 from chainfire. Now, I am random reboots. I did use odin for the firmware flash.
I have a G900t1.
Thoughts?
Having exactly the same issue, phone will work fine for a day or two , them I will get as many as 5 reboots in a day....

After all the random reboots, I downgraded back to kitkat because it's stable.
im wanting do go back to lolipop because i made a complete nandroid backup not entirely sure how to go about it, since ive switched to marshmallow my call quality and network connections have been crappy. like having make a call several times before it goes through with full LTE signal strength etc.

Just a thought.. double check your modem and boot loader are correct. But if your sure you want to go back, there is a couple threads with the roms, bl and modem for download.

I've found this release very stable and solid.
Hello. I have a Kate with running Global Dev 6.12.8. All is running well so far. But if I flash custom ROMs I don't get a mobile-data connection, but I can make a call! WLAN, BT, GPS...all is running, but no data with sim-card. APN is correct, too. When I go back to stock with TWRP-backup, mobile-data is running back! I testet custom MM and N ROMs...Slim6, RR, CM...I testet CM14firmware, too.
Check the custom rom threads for advice on flashing on the Kate, specially which modem firmware to flash. (NON_HLOS.bin)
[Tools, Tips & Tutorials] How to install CM13 on KATE (rn3 pro special edition)
Note step 7 and Step 29 to 38.

Still no mobile-data-connection! This happened with the Dev-ROM update from 6.11.x to 6.12.x. Is it possible to downgrade the DEV-ROMs?
I have the same issue - I had CM 13 running for weeks without issues on my KATE device (using this German tutorial: http://www.android-hilfe.de/thema/h...-note-3-pro-kate-band-20-installieren.795136/ - un-official boot loader unlock). After trying CM 14.1 I have no data connection but APN settings are correct. If I switch back to Stock ROM (e.g. kate_global_images_6.12.15_20161215.0000.00_6.0_global_9e944aa495.tgz) mobile data works again. I've flashed NON_HLOS.bin from different fast boot files but nothing helps. Even CM13 does not work with mobile data connection any more.
If someone knows a solution I'm thankful for any advice. Complete re installation is no problem.
I know used the link above: http://en.miui.com/thread-363264-1-1.html But replaced the files mentioned there with CM 14.1 nightly build + this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/how-to/cm14-14-1-aosp-n-firmware-kenzo-kate-t3507789) Firmware for kate and Cm14.1) And I flashed modem from global stable directly after GApps (I did all wipes mentioned in thread). Instalation went perfectly fine and CM sets up correctly. Even while 1st setup it detects my SIM and my German carrier correctly. But after setup completes there is still no data connection (One detail: CM setup asks twice if to enable mobile data connection while setup - I confirmed both of course...) Phone calls and SMS works fine....
I could cry because this makes the phone unusable for me and I have to go back to stock now... Camera, FP. Bluetooth and all that stuff works fine ...
You could try to perform a soft reboot and see if it helps. I'm using this workaround for like 2 months.
I'm gonna try OPs guide after Christmas.

Thanks for the hint. Will try after Christmas - now I'm back on stock and have to take care of all the presents - no time to play around with my cellphone any more
Have a nice Christmas
Cheers

I'm on LineageOS now following this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/how-to/kate-guide-install-lineage-os-locked-t3546154
guide but same issue: NO data connection
Soft reboot trick helps. Did you find a permanent solution for this issue?

Thanks. Since I installed LineageOS already I tried to adopt this procedure for me and it seems to work:
- The guide tells "put SIM-Card from SIM-Slot 1 in SIM2-Slot2 (leave SIM-Slot 1 empty!)"
Since Sim1 is Micro and Sim2 Nano in RN3P I don't want to cut my sim card - so I simply took the nano card out of another phone started once with only sim2 inserted:
- Data connection OK
I re-inserted my SIM1 only again (after shutdown) and connections ist ok, too 4G LTE in Germany (kate version)
Thanks again - have a good weekend.
Pocophone F1, Pixel Experience plus 12/22/2020 ( PixelExperience_beryllium-10.0-20201223-0320-OFFICIAL.zip )
Tried reinstalling pixel experience plus multiple times, still no signal showing. If i insert the sim card on a different phone, it shows full bar signal. Wifi and Bluetooth are working fine. I haven't installed any firmware or kernel (aside from default PE kernel)
Any help is appreciated. Not sure if IMEI issue or I should install a firmware of some sort.
EDIT: It detects the network of the SIM but it doesn't get signal
You can check your IMEI in the settings. It happened to me multiple times already, my IMEI was changed to 0 after flashing a custom Rom. Flashing an official stock Rom didn't help. Luckily I was able to succesfully restore it back from a previous backup via TWRP.

Thanks! I've checked it and confirmed that IMEI is still there. however my IMEI SV is set to 00. Is that supposed to be something else?
