Can any talented devs take the leaked MM Chinese kenzo from and clean all the bloat and Chinese apps off it?
just flash the ROM yourself and root and clean all apps you dont want. No dev will take roms just to delete some apps
Oh ok.. MIUI EU does.

in all honesty bud i personally dont think there will be one. there are too many new htc phones out for then to consider working on a new rom for a pretty old (in phone terms) model.......why not try a custom rom ?. im more than happy running cht and spb side by side.......
i could be wrong though.........

What is the motive to develop a new ROM for an OLD phone in the context of HTC? Are you not satisfied with the Custom ROMs?
cutom roms are gud but not as stable as official roms ,in long run.
from day 1 and rom 1.43 i guess and rom 1.48 hd2 is buggy ........
till now on 1.66 i have huge list of bugs .....
all of above i have to install a large no. of softwares on my phone ....
so i can afford to have custom roms flash and reflash and so waiting for official update ....
there are couple of test roms around so seems like update rom is about to be released soon ...

I would have to disagree with you, my phone is 500% more stable with a custom ROM , you just have to choose your custom ROM carefully ...
There are a lot of chefs that make custom "stock like" ROMs that no one can say are less or more stable because they are built from the same source(and in most cases newer) that HTC builds theirs from, just with more or less apps.
So to make a broad statement that custom ROMs are less stable or more buggy is really unfair, have you tried EVERY, custom ROM for your phone? Or did you try a couple early on , that had bugs and decide they were all that way ...
My current official rom of 1.72 is perfect.
I dont think there will be another update with the phone beign discontinued now (?)
Unless they release a final update? Doubtful.
@Watcher 64
i am not saying custom roms r not gud or unstable .............
actually custom roms do have conflicts latter on as os runs
one reason is obious that its a individual effort and offiicial one is special group production ....
if one has no problem with reformating device then he can afford custom rom ,,,
but a person like me which need hunderd of software in device can not spend a whole day for reinstall ....
the buggy roms i have talked above are the official rom not the customs ....
I was planning to flash CM11 for my Magnus and I was confused AS I already have my EBR Partitions of about 2.5 gb as well I have lots of Apps I dont want to loose them! So I backed up them but before flashing my Rom and maybe it would brick too I want to ask if I can Flash this ROM with my EBR as it says clearly not to EBR partition in the Forum. And I was looking forward to get good Audio in it. And is it deodexed rom so that I could even flash Dolby? Thank you. Your Help would be appreciated. Thanks to all Magnus Developers to Developing such fluid and good Roms and there are alredy about 50+ Roms for our Device. Shout out to All the Developers. :cyclops:
Currently I m in S5 Rom. And its bit laggy sometimes when you have both greenify and Clean maser opened at same time . So I was looking forward to flash CM11
I tried all found that MIUI is more stable than other Rom. RR and lineage have some bugs. I didnt found any on MIUI. What are your thoughts guys.
Maybe the best of the two worlds? A custom ROM based on MIUI?
My next try will be surely the Mi-globe ROM, where you can also choose the components to be included.
I prefer custom rom.
Using AOSP Extended and it's nice.
Give it a try.
Custom rom will have some bugs that's main issue. If I wanna use rom for daily driver it should be bug free. So Native roms of device are better than custom ones. It can be used by rooting and doing tweaks to official roms.
I'm having issue with gps while using MIUI. Maybe it's just my phone.
Haven't try custom MIUI.
Currently I'm using Slim rom because I prefer stock Android experience. No issue with gps.
dude seriously!!! Custom Roms Like Aex/Rr are officially Fully Stable no Bug On Em.. only minor Bugs Which are negligible so If u want to try ill recommend Aex Which is fully stable and u can use it as daily driver without any problem and battery backup is same on all rom it depends on ur usages.

I will give it a try Aex( I tried MIUI 9 china beta ,lineage OS and Rr)
I guess it depends on the end user. I mean, I have used MIUI, COOL UI, Zen UI etc. I would say, every ROM is good in their own. I personally prefer stock ROM. One of the reason for me is that Custom ROM (Cool UI on Coolpad Note 5) sometimes creates laggy experience.
The main thing that I didn't like in MIUI is some of the cool notification things that are present in Stock Android. That's why I switched to Lineage, Resurrection Remix, and finally on AOSP Extended.
Hi guys,
I'm new to flashing rom and etc.. But I'd like to know which should I flash cuz I want a smooth rom for day to day apps
Search the thread..you'll see many custom rom's from some of the dedicated developers. I'd suggest start with MiracleDroid since its a non treble rom. Start using it and get hold of the treble and non-treble thing. Then if u want to shift to treble rom then I'm sure by that time you would know which one to pick.
I just got my Poco F1 and before I migrate everything over, I was wondering if I should go to the effort of installing a custom ROM (where I understand there to be unlock ir issues), or just get used to miui (looks ok, just has lots of mi stuff I will never use)? I feel like I can get used to it if I install the Evie launcher, but was just wondering what setups others have tried in the forum. I think if I did go for a ROM, I'd probably try RR/Lineage (worked nicely on my note 4).
Would there be any huge benefits of a custom ROM over miui except for preference? I've installed custom ROMs for years to get additional functionality, but I think miui looks like it could suffice.
Any advice would be great
Hi,
Your best bet would be to use mi global stable ROM ie. Stock ROM or global beta version (more stable than stock one also called developer ROM) , IMO custom ROMs are generally comes with some bugs , as I had used lots of custom ROMs in past in almost all of my android phones and tablets , custom ROMs always have some bugs in them .
If you have lots of time then you can go for custom ROMs try them and wait till they add some features and then ROM get unstable.
Previously I had Redmi note 3 pro , and flashed almost every nougat, marshmallow and Oreo ROMs but didn't find any stable ROMs that suited my needs ,some caused lots of heat, some of them were lagging, network issues, etc after that I switched to developer ROM of miui and this is the most stable ROM ever (although it's marshmallow) but absolutely no problems whatsoever.
Sorry for my bad English and long post.
Hope it helps.
