So after flashing xposed, my phone got stuck in a bootloop. After trying to fix via many different methods, none of them worked, so I decided to factory reset my phone. Well, idiot me somehow managed to delete the OS, and now I can't reinstall it. I have tried using Odin, but after clicking start it just says "FAIL!". I also cannot use Kies or Smart Switch because they both say "Unsupported device". I've used 2 different cables in all the USB ports, installed new drivers and turned off firewall and anti-virus, but it still won't connect. I'm stumped as to what else I can do. I should probably mention I'm using an SM-G925F.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Switch your Samsung Galaxy S6 completely.
Boot into Galaxy S6 download mode by pressing and holding Volume Down, Home and Power keys at the same time.
Release all three buttons when Samsung Galaxy S6 screen flickers and you see a warning sign.
Press Volume Up to continue to the main screen of download mode. Now you can plug your phone to your computer. Download your official ROM for your phone, and flash it with Odin. Thats it.

Hello everyone, it's with a great thrill that I found a couple of days back the existance of the beautiful wackyrom available on your forum.
After considering it I took willingly the risk of installing it... and following all indications of flashing cwm via odin and wiping all for of data in the proper oder, I got myself stuck in a pretty unpleasant situation : CMW recovery loop. I tried to start from scratch again and again and I even tried to go back on the stock firmware (which wasn't the original french one installed on my phone but a foreign one). I know I may have made a newbie mistake, but seeing the strength of your helping community Im hoping to revive what now looks more to me like a brick phone than ever. In advance, I thank all attention and anwsers to my case.

Flash this Stock recovery via odin : http://d-h.st/hcA
Instruction:
1) Put phone in download mode by powering off ,home button and volume down while plugging the phone into the computer(if don't and don't understand search google their are many guides and videos for it)
2) You should now see the first square in Odin turn yellow and say "Ready"
3) Click on the pda tab in Odin and select the Stock_Recovery_GT-I8552.tar you downloaded
4) Click start and wait for your phone to reboot
5) Done!
Well, I should have added that to the list of things that I have tried before. The only divergence to your methode is the fact that the keys to force start the downloading mode does not work so I only can acces it thrue a restart in downloading mode within CWM...
I have wiped all pilots/kies traces off my computer, checked rooting of the phone using kingo android root, reinstall my drivers from scratch and yet Odin still dont recognise it.. Does anyone have a clue?

I also have the same problem. I have read all threads from google about this matter, that say flash rom, clear whatever2, blaz bla
BUT, still for 3 days I cant fix it. when it stuck in boot looping or turn off, odin didnt recognise my phone
Dear friends,
Install Samsung kies and it will install all the proper drivers for your phone.
Then use another port of your pc or laptop to connect with odin.
If changing your pc ports doesn't work then try to install kies on another pc perhaps.
After the phone gets connected to pc follow @lols21.10 instructions.
Worth a try.

Also: if Odin don't recognize your phone, try to change your usb cable
Changing PCs worked for me a while back.
not working

not either. because my phone need to be turned on in normal mode when connect to my pc, then i need to choose the usb option whether to transfer files/camera/charging.
and only then Odin say "ready"
Do this: put your device in download mode and then you reflash firmware with Odin.
You can do this by turning your phone on pressing the buttons HOME, POWER and VOL DOWN. When your phone vibrates, release POWER and keep pressing ther other two. A screen with a warning will appear, and you press VOL UP to confirm. After that, you open Odin, plug your phone on computer and select the stock firmware by clicking on button "PDA" at Odin. And then it is just start and wait.
Same Problem
my samsung grand quattro get stuck at cwm too.. it keep booting to recovery mode when phone start up, I cant connect to Odin because I cant access to debugging setting.. HELP PLEASE :crying:
I tried to install android revolution on my s3 using his instructions on this page
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...m-android-revolution-hd-52-0-android-t1797334
Now my phone is unresponsive. When I plug the phone to the computer the computer makes a noise as if something was connected but no lights on the phone.
What I've tried
1. I tried taking out the battery and pressing all the buttons.
2. Connecting phone to comp, open up odin. odin doesnt recognize phone
3. http://androidflip.com/unbrick-samsung-android-phones-click-guide
Is there anything I can do to get the s3 to work?
Would jig work eventhough nothing shows on the screen?

Those instructions for installing were muddled up. So did you install via custom recovery or via odin3?

The phone was already unlocked. I restarted with ROM Manager and tried to install a ROM. It failed and I turned off the phone. I ordered a jig I'm hoping that will work.
Yesterday I glanced over to my Samsung Galaxy S3 to see the startup logo (as below) just stuck on my screen. The one that says "Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300".
Here's as much useful info about my phone as I can think of:
I have never tried to root my phone, or do any other modding to it
I bought it second hand from a friend, who says they have not done anything of the sort either. I did a fresh install of what I think was Android 4.3 when I got it
I live in the UK and I think the phone is from the UK too, originally tied to a provider but is now unlocked.
I obviously attempted to reboot the phone. I held down the power button and after quite a few seconds the screen went black, then I let go and instantly the same startup logo reappeared. I tried again, without releasing the power button this time, same result.
I tried plugging in the charger, held down the power button, and it then went to a sort-of charging screen. There was a little grey icon on the battery, appearing as though it was not charging.
It wasn't showing the usual charging animation, rather a different one with a greyed battery icon. Holding down the power button on this screen performed the same as with the original logo screen, it just looped.
Here's what I then tried, in order:
removing the battery for 5, 10, 30 minutes. No luck.
leaving it at the startup screen for 30 minutes. No luck
gently tapping the side of the phone, in case the power button was stuck. No luck.
entering RECOVERY MODE and CLEARING CACHE PARTITION. No luck.
entering RECOVERY MODE and WIPE DATA/FACTORY RESET. No luck.
downloaded Kies and connected phone to PC via USB. Kies recognised that the phone was connected but it would stick at the "connecting" screen. I tried multiple USB cables and multiple USB ports, both front and rear of PC. No luck.
I then downloaded Odin and attempted to 'flash' (not good with the terminology, excuse any mistakes I make) my phone using various firmwares I found on the internet. I tried the md5 file both in the PDA and PHONE boxes. I kept downloading "BTU" firmwares(?), read that's what I want somewhere. The file name is "I9300XXUGMK6_I9300OXAGMK6_I9300XXUGMK6_HOME.tar.md5". However I kept encountering various errors, ranging from "there is no PIT partition", to "can't open the serial(com) port". Basically it would always fail.
I tried 5 different versions of Odin - 3.10, 3.9, 3.7, 3.04, 1.85. No luck, same errors.
I then tried uninstalling Kies, ending all processes related to it, and retrying Odin. Still no luck, getting the same serial(com) port error.
I then tried to use a "GT-9300.pit" file that I found online, in the PIT section of Odin. No luck
MY CURRENT SITUATION:
Having tried all of the above, my phone no longer enters recovery mode. When I boot my phone it goes to the following firmware upgrade error screen saying "Firmware upgrade encounteerd an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again."
It allows me to enter DOWNLOAD MODE, but not RECOVERY MODE. It loops in the same behaviour as previous screens. Even when on charge it shows this screen now.
I have tried my best to include everything I can so I can get more appropriate help. I do not have any experience with phones and I have tried everything I can by myself, hopefully someone here can help!
Long story,if you know what is Teamviewer i can help you. It would take long time to troubleshoot what you did wrong. Best thing would be to start from scratch.

Thank you so much for your offer to help!
I do know what Teamviewer is! I've used it for many years
I also have Skype and a webcam (for showing the phone), so that would be very useful too..
Ok,we don,t need Skype. It's not important for me to see the phone. I will tell you what to prepare, what to download so we can be fast and productive

A while back I unsuccessfully tried to root my Samsung Galaxy S3.
The phone still worked OK, rebooted fine, etc., was using it for months.
Just recently though I decided to factory reset so I can give my phone to a family member, and this happened (see pics below ). Now it just hangs on T-Mobile screen and never boots at all.
http://imgur.com/gallery/0BWqcUA
Can anyone point me in the right direction to flash the default factory image back on there.
This is with T-Mobile in case that matters.
Thanks in advance.
UPDATE:
I located this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3
Also tried downloading this driver:
http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/SGH-T999ZWATMB
The problem right now is neither ODIN nor ADB sees my device. I have the device in "Downloading" mode (boot power down key, home ,power button).
Also tried the up-volume boot and adb side load.
Uninstall all Samsung drivers, reboot, and install Samsung Kies. This will setup the drivers you need, then you can use Odin to restore. If this doesn't work, try different cables, ports, or another computer. Check in Device Manager to see which driver is loading and manually switch if needed.
PS. You're not going to be able to communicate with the phone via adb without it booted and USB Debugging enabled or with a custom recovery that you're booted into.
Hi,
My Samsung GT-N8000 was working perfectly a few months ago, then out of the blue I started it up to an error which says, "Encryption unsuccessful, encryption was interrupted and can't complete. As a result, the data on your phone is no longer accessible. To resume using your phone, you must perform a factory reset etc..." So naturally I tried entering into twrp recovery in bootup using the power button + volume down but for some reason I cannot access recovery, it just shows samsung galaxy logo TWICE and then proceeds to normal bootup which leads to the encryption unsuccessful message. (Download Mode still works tho...) So I tried using Odin to recover twrp but nooo ,Odin decides not to recognize my device.
I've tried every possible instructions I could find online but to no avail... So I've quickly created an account here just to post this query out of frustration. listed below are some the things I have already tried.
-Updated Samsung USB Drivers on my PC, Laptop and friends PC
- Using Odin on another PC
- Used 3 different USB Cords on my GT-n8000 but still the same.
-tried all the ports on my PC, Laptop and friends PC
PS I've flashed Lineage OS on my device and it was rooted.
Any help will be very much appreciated
Cheers! :good:
maybe get a keyboard and use the port on the keyboard insead
