Can't access the Huawei site for bootloader unlock code - Honor 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys, Im a new Huawei user trying to unlock my bootloader.
But i cannot access the darn site from huawei, only get "server is busy"
Is it just me or is it down for all, and if so, how can i obtain my unlock code.
i got root withdrawal anxiety xD

Same thing had happened to me. There is no solution I guess.

Follow the method shown here, it helped me unlock my device, hope it works for you too.

If you try the "login with Facebook" the page will load (100% of the attempts) but still I could not obtain the code due to the captcha. The ima is not loading so I cannot fill the form correctly.
If someone knows how to solve this issue please reply.

Thanks but this was not the issue. I have tried with several browser, vpn, devices etc. Same result.
The captcha image was corrupted (the gif was containing some error message before the gif data).
In the end I just found the solution today, the problem was due to the usage of the english website. The chinese one works !
Following these steps made it work for me. i leave the link for future reference

1. When you register, you can use the same password as your US account to make life simpler.
2. Use Chrome Browser since it will offer to translate the Chinese to English for you within the same window.
I can't seem to register with the China Huawei site, I receive the email with activation link, but it just takes me to a page that says activation failed. Any ideas? Many thanks!

I couldn't get this to work either, the submit button didn't seem to like my browser. I actually created my account on my phone and it took me to a more friendly mobile site where I was able to follow the same steps to register, even selecting the activation link from my phone. Once registered, I completed the rest from my laptop.
How do I register with them since I have a US number and it does not give that option?

Ya, I don't have a phone number. I tried using their online request site for the bootloader. I entered in all the information. They said I needed a phone account. I went to sign up for a phone account............have no prefix USA numbers I can use...............tried to login to their site via facebook............"incorrect password"...............sent them a bunch of emails............no response
This will be the last time I ever buy a phone from a Chinese vendor, absolutely horrible. PLEASE HELP!

OK, picuture is much easier to troubleshooting
First of all, I would suggest trying this website using PC, not on cellphone.
Then looks like you are logged into English site, not the chinese site, your URL give above is correct, in that page, there does not have "MT2_L03" for the chinese site. Your read it right, there is no "MT2_L03" in the list. You need choose "Huawei Y300-0000".
superbass311 youtube video clearly showed it is using google translate, and you can see the URL is still "/cn/", double check yours when you are on PC.
Its definately the Chinese site.. Just translated with chrome..

I rarely use my laptops.. Generally do everything on a tablet.. So decided to try that... While on tablet/phone MT2-L03 was an option to select on the drop down but resulted in the error message I posted above... Tried from laptop and MT was no longer an option... Used Y300-0000 as suggested and I was immediately given my unlock code... Unlocking was successful and installed twrp from fastboot.. Time to play... Thank u xordos:thumbup:

You should not display your numbers publicly. Mask/black out the numbers in the image before uploading it.
What model phone you have? How many times did you try? Are the numbers correct? If so, try again. I have never seen that message before.

unlock website down

Is the Unlock website down for anyone else?
Use the Chinese version one with chrome browser.
Got a link? Im trying to unlock my 5x
Two links I am trying
1
https://hwid5.vmall.com/oauth2/port...hp&viewType=0&isDialog=0&themeName=cloudTheme
2
https://www.emui.com/en/plugin.php?id=unlock&mod=detail
Still down
Try this but use a browser that translates like chrome for example.
https://www.emui.com/cn/plugin.php?id=unlock&mod=detail
http://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-5x/development/root-kiw-l24-usa-kiwi-t3305190
Use the top two things in this post ^
1. Use Chrome & click on the first link
2. REGISTER for a new account using your email - right click and translate to English if you need to (this is why you use chrome)
- I had to resend the email auth before I received it, the email is all in chinese characters, just click the only link
3. Once you're confirmed, GO BACK to the first link in step one and SIGN IN
4. It should automatically take you into the bootloader unlock process, if not: use the second link and complete the process for unlocking the bootloader.
5. Follow the rest of the steps in the guide to install TWRP and get root
And thanks to @deadman96385 for such an excellent guide btw, props!

I gave invalid Product Model (KIWI-L22) while providing the information. I then entered KIW-L22 and with rest of the details correctly and boom....the unlock code showed up. I just posted an update in case if it helps someone. Just make sure you all the info entered is correct.

UPDATE
After emailing support telling them their website was falling over and sending them my details they emailed back with the unlock code within 24 hrs

Huawei No longer providing booloader unlock codes in the US?

I went on to their website to try to request a firmware unlock code. The process did not work after inputting all the device info, and at the bottom of the site it says to email them if I had an issue, after emailing they sent me back the attached statement. Has anyone else run into this issue?
I just unlocked my 5x Friday afternoon with out issue. I made my account, filled out the required form and was immediately given my unlock code. Maybe you missed something on the form. I did have to google Huawei USA to find the proper site as the one linked in the TWRP thread is for Chinese only.
---------- Post added at 03:15 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:13 PM ----------
Oh yeah, I am in Oklahoma USA
Same here, unlocked two instantly..no waiting, within last 3 weeks, took some Googling but I too used the english site, my first tries burped me too something about it can take 14 days, but i went out and back in then had no trouble. Keep at it.
I'm assuming your device was carrier unlocked also? Mine was in English to, asked me for IMEI, model, and product id were among the fields I can remember. There was even a disclaimer before inputting the info stating that my warranty will be void and such. Guess I'll give it another go. Thanks.
Tried it again, I just had to pay close attention to capitalized letters while inputting the info, thanks everyone!
Just to make you sure, honor won't shut down the service to provide unlocking codes

Link to huawei unlock: https://hwid5.vmall.com/CAS/portal/...ndex&loginChannel=22000000&reqClientType=2023
1. you need to create an account if you do not already have one
2. after that you will have to agree to their terms which includes voiding warranty, etc...
3. When the screen pops up for you to input all your information, you must input everything exactly as it appears on your device. For example, in the Serial number and model fields, you must use capitalized letters because lower case letters will throw an error.
Hope this helps and good luck!

You need to pay 4$ to get unlock code through DC
ya seen that i thought he was mentioning the same thing any other new process but if there is no other process we need to use it as a last thing to get our bootloader unlocked.
I will go with that option if huawei no longer provides unlocking codes
Ya same here . hope huawei fixes the issue.

Can't unlock phone, IP problem

Hi! I just got my Redmi Note 4. I would like to get root access, and maybe install custom ROM, but I can't unlock the phone. When I go to the unlock site (http://www.miui.com/unlock/index_en.html) click Unlock Now button, fill all the gaps, check the disclaimer and click Apply now, I get the sms message with the code. Till this point everything is okay. But when I enter the code, and click Next button, I get this message in a poup window: 您所在的IP申请次数超标.. Google translated: Your IP application has exceeded the limit.
I tried already with 4 different internet vendors, on 3 different devices. I tried also with VPN (Hong Kong, and european countries too). I'm from Hungary btw.
Please help me, I googled this problem already, and I tried all the solutions, what I found, but still didn't succeed.

This can happen if you try too many times in a short time period. Maybe waiting for a day can fix it? Or else you can make a new mi account.
I think you wrote about another problem. If I ask too many times for the SMS code, the syytem sends a message in popup, but eith another (chinese) text, and I can't even get to the next page. This IP problem happened at the first time I ever were on miui.com page. I will try with a new Mi account.
Thanks anyway!

Problem with “Mi Unlock Status”

Hello guys,
as the title says, I want to unlock my Redmi 5 Plus and load LineageOS, but I'm stuck.
I was approved and this morning I received the text message confirmation that says "Permissions have been granted ...", but when I go to "Mi Unlock Status" and touch "Add account and device" i receive this error code: 86006.
These are my iphone info
upload pictures
I tried with 5 different VPNs, and restarted many times but nothing worked.
I read around that probably i have to wait 72 hours in order to unlock my device, is this correct?
Anyway any kind of help is really appreciated.
Thanks

86006 is not connection issue, its a server issue...
VPN issue is error 10008
try to flash developer rom, if the problem persist then welcome to the dead-end.
We're users from Indonesia, we've tried every possible method including tearing phone, short the circuit, test-point, etc...
It all end with either 86023 or 86006 error. We've got reply from official xiaomi Indonesia that stated the bootloader can't be unlocked anymore on official phone. It's weird because we're not bound to any specific carrier.
The only real solution is just to sell official phone and buy illegal unofficial phone from third-party reseller.
hopefully people at other countries still can unlock their phone

its simple, just download the file from xiaomi site, simply pick the recovery rom and put it on your phone
then from updater app, choose the option on top-right and select that file... it should be done in 10 minutes.
