Now almost evey phone has flash charger, need not to worry about the charging speed.

The Moto Z does not support Quick Charge 3.0. It does, however, support the Type-C/USB-PD first level power rule, which gives you 15W: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=70391928&postcount=9
Charges extremely fast
Motorola TurboPower 30 Universal USB Type-C Wall Charger. The 30 watt chargers the phone super fast! I have tested the 15 watt the phone came with against the new 30 watt I just got. It is noticeably faster.
The Moto Z also happens to be incredibly thin – allegedly the thinnest smartphone ever – but that comes with both a caveat, and some serious shortcomings when it comes to battery life. In the famous words of Jeff Goldblum, "Motorola was so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should". At least that’s how I think the quote went.

if you have gsm battery app you can see that the phone cannot accept 2.1A,
it's the big cons indeed!
Takes 2h20m from an Anker IQ 2.4A charger (1-100%) With the stock 1A charger it takes 3+ hours.
I just got mine and it charges much faster with a 2 amp charger. I am using a 5 port Aukey with one port that has the Qualcom fast charge 2.0.
I also have a Blu VIVO 5 and the Honor charges just as fast as that with the 2 amp charger. The Blu Vivo 5 includes a 2amp in the box while the honor does not.
On my HTC One and my Sony Xperia Z3 compact, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gombosdev.ampere reports something in the neighborhood of 1.4-1.7 amperes with a Quick Charge 2.0 charger, and I go from 1% to 60% in about 20-30 minutes as claimed. On my Honor 5X, the highest I see the app report is 850 mA, and it takes about as long as what everyone else is reporting. With a non-Quick Charge charger I get about 550 mA.
Edit: 850 mA is what I often see using one of my chargers. I'm using a different one right now and just now I saw it as high as 1.1 A.
Using an USB multimeter I can see it charge at 1A with my Blitzwolf 5 ports charger.
Honor 5x L22 model take around 3 hours to charge from 0-100%.
Wish they would enable Qualcomm Quick Charge tech for this device since the Chinese market version has it by default. It takes quite a while to charge from 0-100
Good speed with the normal 2 Amp charger. reaches 100% in and around 2hrs
Quite slow
upto the mark
Coming from a fast charging phone, honor 5x is quite slow. But it is OK as i use the phone normally so from 100 to 0 it last easily 2 days.
Sent from my KIW-L21 using XDA-Developers mobile app
yep they should have used some sort of quick charge
0-100% takes 2 and a half hours usually.
2hours with 2A charger
It's still very slow
Plus side is slower charge will keep your battery in better health and longer lifespan . fast charge is real harsh on the battery pack .
I find mine takes almost 3 hrs from about 5% to full when on and 4G running . You can get 60% in an hr or less which not bad .

VOOC from Oppo is the most efficient.
2 hours average from 5-100% on stock charger.

Sometimes it is superfast and sometimes its normal!!
I have a charger with QC 3.0 and it charges with normal speed :/
It's reasonably quick with a quick charge charger. About an hour and a half for a full charge. But can get nearly half in half an hour.
I use a Choetech 55W QC 3.0 USB-C charging station along with the same brand cables, and Anker cables. There are a lot of bad cables out there so you have to watch what you buy. I made sure these were certified because I didn't want to fry this device, or other devices hooked up to the XC (there's that one Google developer guy who tests them).
It can charge in under two hours and the phone's battery gives off quite a lot of heat as a result when it's drawing a proper high load - which can't possibly be good for it in the long-term. Is the battery still going to be good after a whole year of use? Same high heat output with a Samsung charger+cable (same brand respectively), so it's neither the charger or cable causing it, just a very warm battery.
Would not recommend sleeping with your device if it's hooked up to a QC outlet - needs to vent that heat -- if you roll over onto it, bad things might happen.
1% at 77~78% is 2:19.9s
Keep in mind, that by design, a battery will not maintain a constant high current -- rather -- drops off slowly as it nears capacity (safe charging), so using %/min. is not an accurate gauge in charge time. So this %/min. will be lower when the battery is at 1~30% than +30~100%. Charge circuits never go by percentage either, but by voltage. An accurate reading would be on a DC volt meter bench.
Shenanigans and errata: My phone stays at 100% for a while after a full charge compared to when it goes down from 99%, so this is not an accurate method to test "full" and "empty" states.

Quick isn't the word. It's amazing seeing how fast it charges.
Can it be charged with a 5 volt charger?
I think I have a problem with fast charging.
Yesterday while the phone was charging, electricity in my house was shutted down. When it came back, I can see than now, I charge 1 % on 35 seconds, instead of 20 sec before.
Could it have the battery damaged ? I doubt so, buty it's strange.
I tried when battery was 82%
Maybe it's quicker when battery is low ?
What's your thoughts about this situation ?
Thanks !
Edit : Okay, after 85% it slows down, but before it's okay

Yeah it slows down towards the end I'll go from 0-99 in 28-30 min then takes some time sometimes to get the last 1%. Battery life is also incredibly good.

Yeah battery life is outstanding..
Anyway, I have a little weird thing :
This battery monitor stats shows me different SOT than GSAMBatteryMonitor.
GSAM shows 2 hours more (wich I think wrong), and this delay grows while battery dercreases.
Do you have this app showing the same stats than colorOS battery monitor ?

I just downloaded the app you're talking about give me a day or so I'll give you an update
50W Charge is impressive can't wait to get in hands.
Can you disable fast charge (like in samsung galaxy note 9)?

Yes it's really fast
Greetings.
I got my X2 Pro about 2 days ago. Charging speed is even better than advertised, as it takes less than 30 minutes to reach full charge. But phone usually gets too hot when fast charging. Do I experience this problem alone or do you guys too? Kinda worried about battery health in the long run if it gets too hot everytime I charge it.
Thanks before

Same thing here, so I don't charge more than 40 - 45% at a time.
If my battery is below 50%, I charge in 2 times with a 10 min pause.
Doing sop, you don't reach hoptter than 33 degrees instead of 38+
I can't seem to get a decent standard charging from 5V 2A chargers or Powerbanks, even a QC3 Powerbank only delivers 0,9-1A.
I only get about 900mA according to the Ampere-App. {On the contrary, I even get 1,8A from the original wall plug at 80% SoC).
Do you also struggle?

Same here. I used a 9V 2A charger, and it won't go more than 1100mA.
I wonder if this is a detection error from the apps. I think they don't consider the dual battery layout and only display half of the true value.
The error that the app "charger tester" shows let's me think this or does support my theory.
All apps seem to not be able to show the correct current flow because of the dual-batteries.
I found the engingeering mode and can confirm that the phone charges with 5V 2A on dumb chargers.
And also supports QC 18W with 9V 2A
As well as the Oneplus 20W Dash charger with 5V 4A.

Super VOOC (and also VOOC) have their own protocol of charging mechanism. It's not the same with other quick charge method like Quick Charge 3.0.
You will not have VOOC charging if you are not using right adapter and right cable. You try use Super VOOC charge with other USB cable, VOOC charging will not work.
So when you using other adapter or cable, you'll got standard 5V charging max 2A.

8/10
In about halfhour it's already charged to 80-90% with WARP charger.
10% to 80% in 50min.
80% to 100% need about an hours.
Battery cycle about 235 and health is about 4000mha/4510.
Something wrong with my OP8P
Crazy fast from 0-80 then slow to 100%
Changing chargers from 8 pro warp to another actually helps with the last 20%
Not sure if that's safe or not but a regular rapid charger will get you over the last 20% pretty quickly compared to the warp variant.

IMO, overall time to fully charge from 0-100%, Warp is longer than other fastcharge tech with same Power and Battery capacity.
The last ten percent is where the times used up.

very slow even with fast charger
slow but BB is pretty good
So I plugged in a 45w charger & super charge mode displays but it stops after about 1second. Is this software or hardware because it definitely supports it to display?
