I was trying to flash stock firmware (.tar.md5) with FlashFire directly on my Star 2+ (SM-G350E), everything went correctly, but suddently, after flashing modem and system, the phone rebooted, then stucked forever on splash screen... I went to download mode, and always find current bin and system status CUSTOM... I only have stock recovery...
Have anyone else faced that problem? Thanks ij advance.
PS: Almost the same problem occured to my S5 mini, just beginned flashing system and rebooted itself on sammy logo forever.. Fixed with odin..

3 After firmware flash completed phone will aromatic rebooted.
4. (IMPORTANT STEP) now to to "recovery" and then do a wipe data/factory reset in recovery.
5. Reboot system and enjoy!
- IT'S NASSESARY TO DO A FACTORY RESET.

Thanks for your reply, but I already know how to flash a firmware in Odin
I mostly want to know FROM WHERE the problem came, not how to solve it
You need to tick "Nand erase all" to erase your phone and install firmware.

I am pretty new at this. I have flashed the phone a couple of times after I updated to ICS through Kies (bad move)! Am currently using Gingerbread 2.3.6 but I now want to go back to a clean all new original stock firmware as my phone keeps randomly going into Kernel Panic Mode.
So, my Q is; Can I first go into recovery mode and wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition, reboot phone and THEN flash with Odin? Meaning will the phone be capable of being flashed with Odin after all the wiping or will I need to save the firmware zip file on SD card and flash boot from there? I have the original stock firmware and I would like to have my phone as it was! I am NOT ROOTED nor do I want to be!
I just want my phone as it was! No more buggy bugs!
Please help! Have scoured the net, no answers to this particular question!

To have stock do this:
this is en example that help u flash with odin. (Proceed at your own risk)
Step by Step Instructions:
Download the Android Firmware
Extract the downloaded file ‘I9100XXKL1_I9100OXAKL1.rar’ to get these 3 files:
CODE_I9100XXKL1_CL783870_REV02_eng_mid_ship.tar.md5
GT-I9100-CSC-MULTI-OXAKL1.tar.md5
MODEM_I9100XXKL1_REV_02_CL1085162.tar.md5
Download Odin software
Disconnect your phone if it’s connected to PC. Switch Off your phone. Wait for vibration to confirm complete switch off.
Now, put the Galaxy S2 in Download Mode — press and hold these keys together: Volume_DOWN+Home+Power.
this is required to install the XXKG1 using Odin PC Software.
Open Odin (from step 3) — Odin3 v1.85.exe.
Connect your phone to PC now. You should get the message “Added! !”
under the Odin’s message box in the bottom left. If you don’t get this message,
than probably there is a problem with drivers. Make sure you’ve drivers installed.
Important! On Odin, Do NOT tick the ‘Re-Partition’ checkbox, but keep the ‘Auto Reboot’ & ‘F.
Reset Time’ checkboxes ticked. Do not touch any other checkbox or tab or anything, except as required in step 9 below.
Select these files in Odin at respective tabs (check out the screenshot given at the top for help):
Click the PDA Tab, and select CODE_I9100XXKL1_CL783870_REV02_eng_mid_ship.tar.md5 (from step 2.1)
Click the Phone Tab, and select MODEM_I9100XXKL1_REV_02_CL1085162.tar.md5 (from step 2.3)
Click the CSC Tab, and select GT-I9100-CSC-MULTI-OXAKL1.tar.md5 (from step 2.2)
Now, hit the START button to let the process begin.
When process at Odin finishes your phone will automatically reboot —
and you can unplug the cable then.
Plus, you’ll get a PASS (with green background) message in the left-most box at the very top of the Odin.
If it’s red and with FAIL written over it, the process flashing process wasn’t successful.

I ALREADY know that thanks very much, it would be nice to have a proper answer to the proper question I PROPERLY asked.
Yes.
You can factory reset via stock recovery no problems.
When you flash stock Samsung firmware via odin you will end up with a completely new and clean system as long as the factory reset has been done prior to flashing or if the firmware is a wipe version.
What you will still have is all the leftover directories and files on your internal sd card. You can simply delete all of these and factory reset.
There you go. Clean New stock firmware.

So just so I'm clear......
I can:
1. Go into recovery Mode on phone.
2. Wipe Data/Factory Reset
3. Wipe cache partition
4. Reboot phone
5. Flash stock firmware via Odin
......and then all is well?

So i wanted to go back to my stock firmware and tried to flash it with odin, but i got a big problem: it stucks on the S logo. I tried searching on the thread with bootloops but didn't found.
This is what i did:
At PDA i selected I9100XWLP7_I9100XXLPS_I9100XEULP5_HOME.tar.md5
Then i selected F. Reset Time and i started flashing.. After it says PASS it remains on that logo..
Note: I tried with another firmware and still the same.
one you do not tick or untick anything in Odin.
Two you need to do wipe before and after flashing.
Three it takes some time on fresh stock flash to boot.
If you can do download mode than first go to recovery wipe using cwm do format system and data, after that odin flash.
I think the only thing you have to do now is a full wipe... you dont have to flash a new fw or something else...
Hello everyone! Would really appreciate your help... I updated my s3 to JB via OTA last month, had issues with slow charging so i decided to flash back to official ICS firmware, specific to my device (Philippines Globe - I9300XXBLHI August build from samfirmware) earlier this week. Did the prescribed process, set my s3 on download mode, used odin v3.07, flashed in PDA. Result at odin was Pass! But my s3 did not reboot. It got stuck in download mode (where it says downloading.. Download bar now is full but it did not auto reset even if the tick box in odin for auto reboot is checked). Tried searching xda, this forum, for a solution, but i couldn't find any.. Can anyone help me? This is as far as my android trouble shooting will go.. Really appreciate your help.. Thank you in advance..
First boot to recovery and factory reset .
Second flash a stock firmware .
jje
thought of that..Tried booting the phone to recovery mode (power + vol up + home) it doesnt work..it goes into a white noise screen, it only boots to download mode..
Any other suggestions? Or alternatives to access recovery mode so i can do a wipe?
go to download mode and flash a firmware
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Thats what ive been trying to do..
how about flashing another jelly bean firmware
and then back to ICS
usually factory reset solved that kinda problem
Sent from my GT-I9300
After you download the official firmware reboot into recovery and wipe data that should solve your problem

Use THIS for flashing, with PIT, bootloader etc - follow the screenshots, and use Odin shown there.
Good luck.
Hi. I am using gt s5282.I recently flashed stock rom through odin(v 3.07).after flashing,my phone got stuck on boot animation. I have tried flashing it again for 3-4 times. But still no luck:crying: .could u guys pls help me?
P.S:I was using resurrection remix 6.0.1 before wanting to revert back to stock rom
Try this-
1. (IMPORTANT) Open odin and tick mark on "Nand erase all".
2. Flash firmware and reboot your phone.
3.Now power off your phone and go to recovery.
4. (IMPORTANT) Do a factory reset in recovery.
5. Reboot and enjoy!
*WITHOUT FACTORY RESET YOU CANT INSTALL APPS ON PHONE AND PHONE DOESN'T RECEIVE INFORMATION LIKE IMEI AND OTHER.
So, Do a factory reset in recovery after flashing.
Now reboot and enjoy a clean/fresh ROM!

I did all the above but stuck in booting logo for more than an hour.. Tried more than 5times but no luck.. What to do..?
Do you have modem file.? Flashing modem ll help.?
Planning to give t to my sister so only going back to stock..
For what you need the Modem.IMG.
If you wipe your Tab , isn' t touch the the modem.
Install a TWRP 2.8.7.0 with Odin. Boot into Recovery and wipe system, cache , cache dalvik and the internal Sdcard.
Boot directly into the download mode and flash Stock Firmware.
But when i want to give the Tab to my Sister, than i install the newest ROM , this up to date with all latest security Patches.
If you need the Modem.img than must you download a 4 Part ROM.
Edit:
Try at first to boot into the Stock Recovery and make a factory reset.
Thanks
