Ok so im new to andriod after coming from a lg arena(km900) so if i ask anything a bit noobie cut me some slack
1) Iv seen on like other phones you get a number 1 or 2 or however many on the icon of the app when you got a notification, at the moment my notifications are all coming to that drop down status bar and none on the icon of the app itself. Is it possible to get that icon?
2) Sometimes i get a facebook notification about a new message or other things in the drop down menu and i click it but it doesnt go to that notification and i have to open facebook manually and look for it. Am i doing something wrong here?
like it says "you have got a new facebook message" i click it but it just takes me to the home screen and doesnt take me into facebook
Hi i just got updated to Android 6 and EMUI 4. The update has been amazing but there is one frustrating issue
Whatsapp notifiations arent working, there is no notification for a message ( no tone, no homescreen notification, no status bar whatsapp icon) There will only be a badge icon notification on the whatsapp icon. I have even tried restarting my phone but that only works for a few hours and then the problem returns
Pls help!
Known issue. We hope it'll be fixed in next updates.

Hi just got the android oreo update for my honor 9 and i have kinda have some small problems that i didnt have with android nougat...
First thing first, is there a way to block the notification of android system telling me "messenger displaying over other apps" ? like it's not really a problem but kinda annoying to see it everytime there is notification..
Secondly do you guys know if i can disable the "Chat heads active" notification from messenger ? I mean it was already there on 7.0 but not visible on the lock screen, now my lock screen always has this notification and that is really annoying.
Right now the only way i found to not have them on my notif bar is to delay them but the max is 1H so i have to do this every hour and i don't want to.
Edit : Nevermind, used autonotification to get rid of those !
Thx for reading me and if you have any solution it would be very appreciated
(don't mind my user name, dunno what happened whe i created it)
New notification system ? "App icon badges" function is not the same as before
Hi everyone,
I am having a weird trouble with Galaxy S9+ notification system. The thing is, when I get new notifications (sms, facebook, whatsapp, etc.), I also get the number of new notifications on the icon of corresponding app. But when I clear my notifications from the notification tray (top of the screen), the badges on the app icon also disappear. It is kind of annoying for me, because sometimes I forget about new messages to which I decided to answer later, but wanted to clear my notification tray. My android version is 8.0.0 Oreo
Do you have the same problem, or it is just me ? Any solutions to this annoying function ?
Thanks

Well, as I understood, this is not the same on S8 or S7 with Oreo OS Maybe I'm wrong.
Nevertheless, it's still annoying. Would like to change it, if there is any chance

It's indeed very annoying. They shouldn't have messed with it, as it was working nicely

Hi All
Is there any solution for this ?
I updated my Note9 to Android 9, but problem still exists - when new e-mail arrives, I get badge notification on app icon.
But when I open e-mail app without reading new mail, this badge disappear, but I still have unread e-mails in inbox.
Is it any tool to bring back unread e-mails count ?
Thank you
Is anyone else having the issue that when you set your phone to vibrate, or silent, that there's no longer any icon showing up on the notification bar?
Pixel users on Android 12 are complaining about vibrate not showing up. They say that silent does show up. They also say that by pulling down the shade they all show up. Pulling down the shade makes no difference for me. What happened here? Did Google push an update that broke this necessary feature? Any help will be appreciated.
I found the answer to my problem. I used ADB to null out ALL blacklisted status bar icons. I do not know how any of them were blacklisted but all credit goes to ...

Thanks for that reminder. Actually I had used in the past both of the top System UI apps. Guess I for got about them. Anyway, the method I found requires no app install and fixed my issue.
