Hello. I'm thinking on buying a new phone but i dont really know wich one. I love sense, wich i know in terms of hardware and software is superior to galaxy S (better benchmarking , quality sound etc) but what bothers me is the facto of not having expandable batteries, and i'm scared that i'll use the phone and become very disapointed with the use of the phone. I had before a Galaxy S and i had 3 batteries always with me, where 1battery lived around 12to 16hours of use. (It really depends on the use wich i give to the phone , i'm a bit of heavy internet user).
Is it there other solutions for the one S to have a better battery life?
I also think HTC One S is more beautiful. But i would like to hear to opinions. Thanks
I have the one s, and I'm very pleased with it, but I see that the lack of expandable / replaceable storage and battery can be a problem. Battery life is still pretty good, though, some disagrees, and I can easily go through a day on one charge

i'm actualy really temped for HTC One S , i know it has much better quality.
looks like the battery life is actually very much above average. considering all things (huge screen, quad core) that's pretty impressive:

make sure to expand the charts to see all the phones. as you can see it does better than some of the other high-end phones out there on different tests, such as the S3 or optimus G.
here's the rating for the S3 and the one X as a comparison:

and here's the rating for the optimus g:

i'm not saying the DNA's score of 49hrs is amazing, but it is very acceptable. and if someone is willing to get any one of those other phones i mentioned, then they should have no issue getting the DNA based on its battery life.
Very impressive results, looks very promising indeed.
phonedog aaron mentioned that his only dropped 12-13% over a weekend on standby. I think it shuts most things down when the screen is off, but will probably suck battery pretty good with heavy usage.
I want to try it anyways.
I have the Hyperion 4200 MAH extended life battery and the white battery cover that came with it. Since I've installed this battery my camera's performance is awful. If I take off the case the camera works great, otherwise it's pretty much useless (blurry, bad exposure, etc.). Is there a cover available that will fit this battery and not interfere with the operation of the camera, quite a bummer to have such great battery life at the loss of a major function of the phone.
Thanks in advance for any assistance!
Keith
Anyone?
Yes, yes, it's possible to love a phone. Heck, you sleep next to it, don't you? Rate this thread to indicate your love for the HTC U11 Life, all things considered. A higher rating indicates that the HTC U11 Life is an incredible phone that you enjoy tremendously. You love it.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
This phone, so far, has been better than anticipated. The camera is really good...something HTC is not normally that strong at. The battery, even though it is only 2600 milliamps is very efficient thanks to the Snapdragon 630 processor. The phones is beautiful, but the back cover will get scratched just by breathing on it, but that is what covers are for, right? Good size, good enough memory, pretty phone, good battery life, good camera, and just $300 bucks.
I love this phone so far! It's fast ergonomically pleasing. I like to use a back up phone for music for walks and driving. The phone I had before that was a Samsung j7 which was craptastic. I love the software experience it really is close to stock feeling with themed icons. I am using pixel 2 as my DD and if it weren't for the underwhelming camera I could definitely use this as my DD
If battery is user removable, it's 100%
2 Years my daily phone
After 2 years I still love this phone. Battery is still very good and I don't use any case. The phone feels good in my hand.
With the monthly security updates I have the feeling that the phone is still running smooth.
Even with android 9, I will be using this phone for the next coming year. I have never used a phone longer then 2 years.
The update android 10 would be the "cherry on the pie" (a dutch phrase )
Kind regards,
Eugene

I currently have the Z Fold 4 but have started with hinge problems so plan to switch to either the S23U or S22U. In plan to buy second hand as my upgrade isn't due for over a year.
The S22U is around £200 cheaper than the S23U - for those who have upgraded from the S22U to the S23U, is it much better and worth paying the extra? If so why?
Much better. On a different level at least versus exynos model
Every aspect of the phone is like 5% better on daily basis, except battery life, which is 10% better. If you are the type of guys, who will get S24U asap, better take the S22U now, if you plan to use the phone as long as possible, take the S23U.

I say definitely go for the S23U if battery life matters to you. In my experience, the battery life bump is a good bit more than the 10% figure @MartinMKR suggested. Other than that, I would say that the devices are pretty much functionally the same unless you're doing something intense like gaming.

Your percentages are way off. Battery life is around 40% better. CPU multicore performance is 27% faster. I don't have my 3DMark benchmark results handy at the moment but gaming wise the S23U trounces the S22U.
Absolutely no regrets in upgrading from the S22U to the S23U.
After using both,yes way better
If you're talking about a s22u exynos is way way better.
S23U with the Gcam is the definitive phone, it's perfect
I had a SnapDragon S22U and while it was a great device, the S23U is just a bit better in every way. The battery life in particular is astounding.
Thanks all, will go for the S23U
I think the leak is S24 Ultra will be back to Exynos. It might perform better then Snap8gen2, but its Exynos, and every iteration has failed to surpass Snapdragon latest chip.
Plus being Exynos is always a security lackluster cause it's not used by many phones.

I agree that it's better. But 5-10% is understating it with a huge margin. It's at least 30 to 40% better in every way compared to previous generation phones, especially if you compare it with the Exynos garbage.

Brother, i agree that S23U is better in every aspect, on paper by a "huge margin", but if you use your phone for basic stuff like watching youtube, checking some bearly dressed womens on instagram, sending a few emails, chatting with friends and read the news... its not that much different and you hardly feel any significant difference between the two phones. The battery is much better, but the S22U still gets you tru the day - doesnt matter much to me that when i charge my phone tonight it will start charging on 40% or on 25%. Yes, i feel more comfortable with the S23U battery - no doubt. From the first post i tought the guy is not that rich and wants help to make a good financial decision, but now when i saw he switches from fold 4, to s23u and to s24u asap, seems like money is not a problem and the topic itself have no more meaning - ofcourse S23U is better than S22U, same like the new S class is better than the old one.
