Hi everyone
I have a problem with my son's samsung galaxy s3 gt-I9300
He wanted to update the firmware to 4.4 kitkat and I don't know what he did but the phone is now stuck on the recovery screen
I've googled for hours for a solution and finally decided to ask for help
I've removed the battery and held power for 1 minute in case there was static somewhere.
Every time the phone is switched on it goes straight to the recovery screen.
I tried wipe cache partition and that didn't work and then tried a wipe data/factory reset and it's still not working.
As far as I know he installed odin and CWM.
If anyone could just help me get into the OS again that will be more than enough
Thanks in advance
Hey
This is probably caused by you son somehow deleting the OS. Try using odin to reflash stock firmware (google odin and sammobile) this should fix your problem ? dont hesitate to ask for any more help.
The Pokemon-hype
The simpliest way is flashing the firmware again (sammobile.com), then root (CF-autoroot), then recovery (from twrp.me), then custom-ROM. Details are written many times here or on youtube...
If there are data to be saved, look here.

So.. I was using my phone normally .. but suddenly my phone went very very slow and then I turned off... I was running Unnamed rom.
But here is the deal , the phone didnt woke up! I mean , The phone got stucked into a boot loop , So I treid to enter into recovery with no luck!... Then I managed to go into download mode without any problem.
So after that I restored the phone to stock (One click root odin) . BUT the phone is still showing the Galaxy S Screen Boot loop.
HELP!
I´ve tried many things.. 2 Laptops and PC´s , ports , etc.. I also removed the sim card and the micro sd , but that didnt do anything.
So , any suggestion?
PS: Sorry 4 my english
I'm going to assume that you flashed UCKH7, either the stock without root, or the stock with root one click downloader. If you flashed something different than one of these, let me know.
Since you flashed the stock package successfully, you should now be able to get into 3e recovery by holding vol+ vol- and power buttons. Once in 3e recovery, you should do a wipe data/factory reset and your phone should then boot normally.
If you are unable to get into 3e recovery, then there is some sort of unusual problem, so post back here and we'll try to find out what it is.

If you can't get into recovery using the three button technique then there is something seriously wrong with your phone.

Yes... I'm thinking possible hardware issue. But since you can still get download mode, I'd try flashing the full stock package which you can get from the Download Repository. The one you already flashed did not contain the bootloaders and other stuff. If that doesn't clear it up, then I'm thinking repair or replace.
Noob question.. Where I can find the download repository?
thanks

Can somone please help me. I have no idea whats wrong. Its stuck at the Samsung boot logo and wont do anything.
This is what i did before it all.
I wanted to try out a custom ROM, so i installed SuperNexus.
Decided i did not like it that much, plus i did not get WIFI to work. Just wanted to try it out more or less.
So i wanted to reset it to STOCK rom again.
I followed this guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1646610
And after ODIN was done, its just stuck at the boot logo.
Did i do something wrong? Is it broken?
I did not follow the steps to "reset the warranty" as i thought it would not be any problem.
As i was gonna keep on going rooted.
So i cant go back and get a new one...
Somone please, any advice or tips on what to do?
do u still hav the recovery? try flash another custom rom and see

Did you do a data wipe in recovery mode?

Don't worry you haven't broke it. Just seems like you have made a wrong step and messed it up. Easily fixed. Try doing a full wipe and follow the guide again

Seems like a kernel related problem. Try to start the guide again or try to flash a kernel with Odin or CWM. Will probably boot after a successful installation!
No i did not do a wipe, wich i probably should have. Problem now is, i cant get back into CWM or am i doing a wrong step?
EDIT: I got into CWM, i did a full wipe. Reboot. Nothing still stuck. Also did try to reinstall a custom ROM and still stuck the the new shiny logo that came with it.

Try the Volume-Up (I think, might be down, one does recovery, the other does download mode, you want recovery) + Home Key + Power button on boot.
If that doesn't go into recovery, you should be able to still go to download mode and flash using Odin from your computer I imagine?
Yeah i read the wrong one when i searched around. I got in. Phone is fixed now =) It booted when i took full wipe AND clean the cache thing.
Thanks for the help!
Full wipe is usually helpful when it comes to stuck on boot situation, corrupted rom or not correctly flashed rom.
after u flash with odin
u should enter recovery
do a factory reset
and it will work
thats how the s3 updates work
i had that problem too and i fixed it
Nothing is working.
Nothing is working for me.
Same happened to me after I flashed stock BTU (UK) 4.0.4 ROM (LG8). It just sat at Samsung logo with slowly pulsing Notification light. I rebooted and same thing.
I went into recovery (turn off and then hold VolUp + Home button + Power and as soon as lil Android appears, let go. it should go into recovery) i selected Factory reset and then wipe cache and rebooted and it booted fine.
Thanks all. I'm an 'old hat' at flashing roms etc., but never had the phone hang on boot after a flash, and you really do get a horrible sinking feeling as you wait longer and longer for it to respond. definitely gonna remember this trick to boot to recovery and wipe.
Thanks again to all
I have recently tried to put on a custom rom, but when my phone wouldn't boot I flashed back my siyah kernel onto my Galaxy S2 Gt-i9100. Now my phone is stuck on booting, please help.
Hi
Can u get into recovery mode ?
did u make a backup before flashing ? if so u can load your backup as long as u can get into revovery mode.
If u did not make a back up u may have to flash a rom from your computer using Odin.
read some threads on using Odin and recovery.
I'm still new to this so maybe others can give u more help.
good luck
peace
Factory reset if you have no recovery to restore backup. And if factory reset doesn't work, flash stock rom in Odin (assuming you still have download mode).
Can you access download mode?
Power + Vol Down + Home
If yes then flash stock firmware via odin..

Pretty sure I said that exact same thing over three hours ago.
Why do people here lately seem to have a habit of repeating the exact same thing someone else posted often many hours earlier purely for the sake of posting ? It's stupid :-/

Please Note : After a LOT of searching on XDA Forums and various different ones Google told me and after trying every possible way. I am making this thread.

Hello Members,
Well, about a week back my friend gives me a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 [GT-P7500] (WiFi+3G) and challenges me to fix it.
So, I bring it home try to boot up, well it does not! Long power press din't work, after reading some posts on other threads here I was able to get it to boot by using the Long Power Press and tapping the screen and then I see the Galaxy Tab logo but it won't go any further its stuck over there.
After that I went for the download mode to see i can do anything with ODIN3 I was able to boot into Download Mode, I Downloaded all the required files, such as ODIN3 , Stock Firmware for GT-P7500 and I successfully completed the ODIN process but IT IS STILL STUCK ON BOOT LOGO and No matter any recovery i flash through ODIN i cannot get into Recovery not even stock. I have tried CWM, STOCK various different ones too but no avail.
So , What I can access? :
1) Download Mode
2) APX (POWER + VOL UP)
Anyway to FIX this and put a Custom or STOCK ROM to get the TAB working again?
Thanks,
Seriously??? No one??
I tried flashing the Stock Honeycomb version today.. same thing it will complete the ODIN process but when it auto reboots its stuck on boot logo and no stock recovery access please help!

Have you tried flashing just a new recovery? You need to get into recovery so you can wipe data/factory reset.
On a lot of samsung devices, you have to uncheck auto reboot, and take the battery out after its done flashing. This has something to do with Samsung's security. Is there any way to do this on a galaxy tab? If so it might make it work. If not, you could try holding the power button after its done flashing (with auto reboot unchecked) until it forces a shutdown. If that doesn't work, you could try and let it run out of battery after its done flashing.

Did you ever get this working? I have a SCH-i905 and have experienced the EXACT same issue.
having same isue but i can get into recovery.. after flash im stuck on boot.. even trough odin it's a no go..
i have no idea what to do now as all firmware i can find are hosted on hotfile and that site is closed down.
if anyone has an idea i an willing to try it
At first find ODIN, install Android SDK and adb on PC.
Try to flash latest original 4.0.4 ICS from sam site.
Download and install clockworkmod recovery through ODIN, you can download it from clockworkmod[dot]org website.
Voila! You now can flash all custom roms from SGT Android Development forum!!!
---------- Post added at 04:08 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:03 PM ----------
P.S. Don't forget to make a FULL WIPE in CM before install a new ROM! Full wipe is recommended always before installing new rom!!!
you can try to open (android system recovery) after install custom rom and then do a wipe data/factory reset
steps
1- power off the tap
2- click on (volume up button + power button )
3 - choose data/factory reset
4-yes
5- reboot your tap
this work for me you can try it
same issue
I have exactly the same problem I have the tablet GT-P7500UWVVTR but impossible to find the original firmware with this tablet. I tried to flash with a firmware with ICS because my build stop at honeycomb and after doing that impossible to going back it stop at the startup with galaxy tab 10.1.
I don't have the original firmware.
All the firmware with p7500 (D or W or R) doesn't work
I can only access to the Odin download mode
When I tried to enter the reset factory it reboot the tab but never enter in the menu
Could anyone have the stock firmware for the GT-P7500UWVVTR after I will root the tablet and install a custom rom to hace ICS
Thanks in advance everyone
i already did a search in google and XDA but nothing worked ! please read carefully
my G925I just restarted and never be able to boot again, so i enter to stock recovery and wiped cache data BUT no luck, and flashed a stock firmware and still the same, it's boot to stuck recovery and show installing updates BUT at 30% its stop and saying "erasing" then its reboot and stay in bootloop,
i managed to get into download mode and flashed TWRP recovery, when ever i try to flash a rom the phone restart again and enter bootloop and it's never shutdown!!
tried :
1- wipe everything
2- flash more than one stock firmware
3- flash recovery and succeeded BUT it's keep restarting !
4- flash custom ROM BUT no luck, keep restart at installing !
5- flashed custom kernel and it WORKED :good:
for now i can only boot into download mode without restart

This is a soft boot due to the fact you still have the ability to access recovery and such what i would suggest you do is get factory files and restore phone back to stock and start over this should fix your problem. If you look around XDA you will find the files you will need ODIN being the main tool you will use to flash your phone.

You have flashed a stock firmware with stock bootloader etc. using odin and still stuck in a soft brick ? remember to wipe the phone a rule of thumb i use is to wipe the phone 3 times before i flash and 3 times after i flash. during the first boot up it may take a little time to boot as it must rebuild the cache. I dont think it is a motherboard issue i think you may have just flashed a wrong file that needs to be wiped out before continuing on. i have had this problem in the past with a galaxy s2 when i was developing custom roms for it. it took me a couple of wipes and factory firmware reflashes but i eventually got the phone back in working order. look here for the factory files you will need to re flash your phone with odin ----> https://samsung-firmware.org/model/SM-G925I/ also make sure you are using the latest version of ODIN you will to put your phone in download mode instead of recovery
Hi, could you fix it ?? I am facing the same issue.
