I have created a new watchface focusing on information density and using all screen shapes perfectly.
I'm searching for Beta testers to make sure most devices work fine: Get Tiled Watchface at Google Play.
Thanks!
Count me in! I'm always looking to try something new.

Sorry for the delayed reply and thanks for trying out Tiled Watchface and for your feedback.
In itself the changes are small enough but I have to re-architect a portion of the drag-and-drop layout selection first before being able to implement those changes. Please be patient, I put them into my list and try to make the necessary changes as quickly as possible.
(I develop this in my spare time and it might take some time nevertheless...)
A new version of Tiled Watchface is out with several improvements:
- resizable tiles
- full complication support
- additional tile types.
Check it out on Google Play!
My two cents, is the latest version is just about perfect.
I have five complications running without an issue, asked for a Black, Black, White scheme and they supplied it.
Even though I use the Huawei 2 "Round", this digital watch face is no my favorite.
Wish the digital clock top center tile could be made bigger ? but I changed my Google Play rating to 5 stars.
Configuration tip, you need to configure the watch face from the Android Wear App "some other watch faces install apps on the Phone" this did throw me off for a bit.
A new and all around improved version is out. The main new feature is the the ability to add pre-configured screens and quickly change them on the watch:
Enjoy on Google Play
Just found out about this watch face. It's amazing in its usefulness and simplicity, and should be featured in all those "best Android Wear watchfaces" lists.
However... it crashes each time I try to click on an element to customize it (complication, allow the face to access the calendar, etc). It then defaults to the built-in "Simple" watchface and there's nothing I can do to use Tiled again, I have to uninstall it.

Hi,
as on the Sony SmartWatch 3 there is no Android Wear 2.0, i cannot use the complication-feature . So I am very sorry to request/ask again for a tile with phone battery. Is there any chance to get this? Maybe with phone and watch battery tiles with a phone/watch symbol? Would be realy great if possible (and not too much work).
Greetings

I got it to work, by uninstalling everything, reinstalling, going into the watch's app properties before using it and granting it permissions beforehand.
However, am I doing something wrong? I was under the impression that the watchface offered the possibility of multiple screens, a bit like a phone's launcher? This would offer a much quicker and easier way to access frequent apps. Try as I might, I'm only able to display one screen (plus another, dummy screen for ambiant if I want to).
Am I doing something wrong? Or is the app limited to one ambiant and one regular screen?
Also, one idea for future development could be to allow various tiles to have different colours. That would improve the look and readability tremendously.

This is an Android Wear Watch Face and Wearable App with the ability to scroll custom text along the top of the wearable and add images from phone to background of watch face. Using the mobile version of the app you can quickly change the color of the background and text of both the watch face and wearable app within seconds. You can also add your own images as your watch wallpaper. New functionality will be added in the future to change other elements of the display. Change colors with ease. Match your outfit or mood!
WAIT! That's not all. Use mobile app or wearable to select custom news feeds to scroll a top the device. Keep up with weather, tweets, current events, sports with a quick glance. Speak updates to news feed via the wearable version of the app. This app will soon integrate with other applications in development.
* VOICE COMMANDS ON WEARABLE INCLUDE -
* SAY - 'SHOW TWEETS WITH HASHTAG ...' - TO GET LATEST TWEETS WITH REQUESTED HASHTAG
* SAY - 'NEWS ON ...' - TO GET LATEST NEWS FOR REQUESTED SUBJECT
* SAY - 'GET IMAGE OF ...' - TO GET RANDOM GOOGLE IMAGE OF SEARCH LOADED TO WATCHFACE
* SAY - 'SHARE SCREEN ...' - TO SEND SCREENSHOT OF WATCHFACE TO PHONE TO SHARE
* SAY - 'TWITTER MESSAGE ...' - TO SEND TWEET
Awesome app. Love it. I been slowly learning how to write apps and this is almost exactly what I wanted to try to do. Can you add the option to customize the dim screen? Make the lettering brighter?
I know a lot of people don't like hearing requests on here. This isn't a request. Just an idea for you to use if you want...
Sent from my LG-LS995 using XDA Free mobile app
Absolutely, request don't bother me. I've been working on making the phone ui bit better, but I'll see what I can do about the dim.
I would appreciate ahh help in getting the word out. Feedback on the playstore would help too. I'm glad you like the app. I hope you like the updates coming soon.
New update available now. Better ui. More features to come. Stay tuned
I seen this been tempted but I am worried about battery life. (Do not mind paying for it)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=deezel.com.newswatch&hl=en
The battery life is bad enough now, if this is always getting feeds? It may knock a lot of time off the already bad battery life.
Twitter, not a fan.
News get notifications from Appy Geek.
Weather Google is always pushing the weather cards.
How about more customization options on the text other that colour?
Funny thing, I working on an update to address most of those things. I don't think the news our Twitter feeds are good the watch face, but rather the app portion for quick access to news from the watch. The face dims so fast that the full headline never finishes scrolling anyway. I'll be rolling out an update within the next week that takes this in consideration, the new version has the ability to change the size of font. Thanks fit the feedback... keep it coming.
Another idea is to show whether or not the phone has service on the watchface. When I'm at work I don't get the best service and tend to lose it from time to time. I leave my phone on the break table quite a bit. It'd be nice to be able to look at the watch to see if service is back or not.
Sent from my LG-LS995 using XDA Free mobile app
I just bought this because I think it has potential. After tweaking some stuff I lost my microphone icon on the watch. I don't know how to get it back. Cleared data and cache. Also I have signed into twitter but I can't get the twitter tab. Any suggestions?
Edit:
OK I am goofy, didn't notice you can start the app from the app drawer and the watch face from the watch face selector. But mic only shows when starting actual app.
The Mic feature is only available from starting tha app through the drawer. Basically it's 2 apps. 1 watchface and then an app. I'll be adding more functionality soon. Watchface apps don't allow you to override control of the tap the screen feature. Basically watchface it's limited as there are no options for button press. Thanks, feedback on the store would be awesome. Let me know if you have any thoughts about future versions.
After you launch the app is you swipe left a menu should appear to give you some voice commands options.

ok got it I had wear launcher set up for that swipe.
But after watch goes to sleep. It exited and goes back to the watch face.
You launch the app from watch. If you have mini launcher, which I recommend, just Swype right to open mini launcher, then find 1 watch and click it to launch it. From watch app, click mic and give voice command. You know you're in the watch app if you seed the Mic symbol. You can say things like... 'get image of'... and give your search and the app should loss the background image based on your search. The list of voice commands can be found from the watch app. The phone app is strictly for watchface customization. The watch app allows watchface customization from watch and some additional features like... get news or show tweets... etc
Also from watch app... Say share screen and your watchface will be sent to your phone to share online... tweet your screen lets see what it looks like.... anyway... have fun. If you need any help feel free to pm me or respond to thread. Share with friends please and thank you.
Well.. As I said yesterday, I did buy this app. I am going to keep up to date with it I guess. Hoping for further development though. I dont think it is complete enough to use as my daily driver but might soon.

Krona Fusion Watchface
Weather updates, round and square layouts
I created a watch face, originally only with the Moto 360 in mind. I love my 360 and unlike others I'm a huge fan of the light refraction at the chamfer on the glass. This watch face has a halo ring that goes around the chamfer which looks really cool and doubles as a subtle battery status indicator.
Later I added a square layout for a friend and some other color schemes, weather updates ... and decided to push it to the Play Store. My main intention here is to find out about layout and performance issues on other devices (since I don't want to buy all the other watches out there). Any feedback is highly appreciated. Of cause you don't have to pay for the app but can download the APK directly.
DOWNLOAD
APK: KronaFusionWatchface_net.marscity.fusion.apk (totally free - updated to version 1.4)
Play Store: Krona Fusion Watchface (€0.79 / $0.99 - updated to version 2.0, official Watch Face API)
PERMISSIONS
For weather information provided by openweathermap.org the app requires:
• Coarse location, network-based (no GPS) for weather data [approximate location (network-based)]
• Full internet access for weather data request [full network access]
• Enable weather update service upon reboot [run at startup]
FEEDBACK
Here or in the Play Store please. Thanks!
UPDATES
1.4: better support for different screen sizes, layouts, and resolutions.

It's a Play Services (Wearable.API) Error. This is shown if the API is not connected and the phone/tablet cannot access the communication layer to the Android Wear service.
I attached a debug version. There will be a toast message popping up when you open the app. I should say: "onConnected:null". Can you tell me what it says in your case? What phone / Android version are you using?
Cheers and thanks a lot!

Usually that means that you do not have the Play Services installed - Xiaomi usually does not come with Play Services pre-installed.
Did you install Play Services manually and do you have the latest version that supports Android Wear communication?
This is really impressive, one of the best watchfaces I have seen, thank you very much.

Like a week after we finished the initial version, Google announced the new official Watch Face API ... and we started from scratch and rewrote the entire wearable App. I just pushed it to the Play Store and we are waiting for bug reports. Once everything is OK with the new API we will start working on features again. Prominent phone and watch battery indicators are on the list. ^^
On Sony Smartwatch 3 in ambient mode it doesn't look very well. Screenshot is OK:
but actually it looks like this:
- barely visible digital time, and just a single digit in the weather part. IMHO it should be near "#fff" to look well on this certain watch.
PS: screenshot and photo taken from the older version.

Thanks a lot for the picture. I attached the most recent version. Since we completely rewrote the part where the watch face is drawn (in interactive and in ambient mode) and implemented some ambient mode specific features, it may look quite different now. (maybe worse, hopefully much better?). Could you give it a try and tell us if there is any improvement? (requires Android Wear 5.0.1)
Thanks a lot

Perfect. We really like the new API - seems to work well with all the different power saving techniques by the displays.

To be honest: I don't see any difference between anti-aliasing on and of on Smartwatch 3. Furthermore - changing alfa on mute mode gives me strange effects on bitmap backgrounds. Dunno if it's hardware related (?).
EDIT: just found out that anti-aliasing doesn't affect bitmaps: wonderful post for beginners by Hoi Lam.

One of prominent items on my todo list. Unfortunately yesterday Sony published new SW2 firmware and companion app that broke down all the SDK 3.0 based widgets. Hundreds of apps on Google Play! Instead of doing something new, we keep replying to users' complaints, and waiting for Sony to tell us what happened.

Google gave devs time to rework their apps. Sony published (without any warning) software incompatible with their own API 3.0. And still no reply from them. One more reason to abandon SW2.
I've had my LG G Watch for about 2 weeks now. Have really enjoyed all the extended function from my phone. The only thing I wished I could do was customize/personalize the watch face.
Enter Watch Maker
This has several pre made watch faces to use, but the best part is the ability to make your own. After messing with the background or the different pre made modules, I found the "Expressions" to be the most full-filling. Being able to customize to the point of having current weather, forecasted weather, calendar events, battery levels (phone and/or watch), and numerous other information available to display on the watch face is great. Not only that, but can also select which components are on when screen is bright or dim. Super satisfied with spending 99 cents for this app! My watch is now, MY WATCH!:good:
yes! Watchmaker is totally worth it ! I have bought it too.

Don't think you can screenshot your watch but you can grab a screenshot from your phone and post here or take a photo of your watch
I have bought Facer, WatchMaker and this program...

I have used the first two to easily load premade faces from this page...
http://facerepo.com/app/faces/?face...tchmaker&shape=square&sortOrder=newest&page=1
and used Watch Faces to make my own as well as load from their pre made gallery.
The coolest is to take pictures of your kids with this program..

i was able to get a screenshot by "Sharing" my own watchface and emailing it to myself. i really like this watchface because i can have "Large Cards" on the screen and still see the time date and temp.
also have done tests. if set to not "Always On" and not "Tilt to Wake" (have to touch it to wake it) i get 2 days easy with this watch face.
here's the watchface template you can import.

So far, Watchmaker has been "pretty good" in my opinion. I've quite frequently received errors stating that Android Wear has stopped responding. I only ever get that when using Watchmaker, and recently it's happened often enough that I started using Zooper with Wear Widgets. There's a similar interface to build your watch face but a bit more set up and it requires the purchase/installation of two separate apps and installation of a third (boo).
The upside... I've had NO errors with Zooper and Wear Widgets (you will likely need to restart phone and watch after install though, or you will have issues) AND the expressions seem more refined, with the calendar reflecting 12hr time correctly and next events for following days showing appropriately. Rich text boxes with expressions and carriage returns. Battery life is close to the same as with Watchmaker so it still is a bit of a drain, especially with all I've got going on on my watch face.
Drawbacks: It's just an image of the widget from your phone that updates every minute (or as often as you like, though anything other than a minute or less makes a clock almost worthless). Oh... and no watch battery indicator that I've been able to find, but I just swipe down to see that. The screen will dim but you don't appear to be able to tell it to only show certain elements.
Hi XDA guys,
Let me introduce you my second watchface for Android Wear, available on Google Play for free.
This is a very simple watchface, no useless stuff, no useless draws, no useless feature. Only brighting dots on a grid which represents the time, the wear battery level (as a gauge on the left of the screen), the mobile battery level (as an inverted gauge on the right of the screen), and the date.
A very nice animation is showing each time a digit has to change. Also a smooth and discreet glow animation is showing on leaving ambient mode for interactive mode.
Note that this application is fully optimized to save your battery life, only one computation per minute !
Retro and futurist at the same time, let be seduced by the lot of available colors for the brighting dots and the "non-brighting" dots.
If you dislike the square pixels, try to set the "dots style" to round in the settings (from wear or mobile companion app).
It could be adapted for square wears if the "arc gauges" hurt your eyes : simply set the battery style to "lines".
Many formats are available for the date, for each taste
Free on Google Play : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fr.yochi376.dotswatchface
Can you please keep me informed if any issue occurs, or if you have some more requirements for this watchface ? I will be a pleasure to develop this watchface for you.

Hi Redbred, it's not so hard to make these kind of images. I'm currently using Gimp. Use the deformation tools for the "parallaxe" effect on a real watch. And for the "mirror" effect, just copy-past your image in a new layer, apply a vertical mirror transformation, then add a "layer mask" on this layer, and finally a gradient on this one.
Here's a simple tutorial (in french, sorry !) http://www.clubic.com/telecharger/logiciel-retouche-photo/the-gimp/aide-astuce-tuto/faire-un-effet-miroir-avec-gimp-14872.html

Coal686's Gear Fit 2 Watch Face Thread
While perusing the watch faces in the Samsung store, I realized that all the ones I wanted were paid. I couldn't find a free face that included a link to the weather app and a link to music controls. So, following the XDA way, I decided to make my own and to share them for free with you all. Since it is easiest to install them from the Samsung store, I've created an account there and so that's where you can find them (once they get listed). Search there by the name of the watch face that you are looking for.
I'd love some feedback. Also, I do take requests, but I may not act on them. As most people here, I have real life commitments that take up a majority of my time.
This is my first attempt:

Nothing on Samsung yet. would love to try it.
Where did learn to make the faces. I've been looking for a short tutorial since I can program some and do graphic design.

Thanks, I look forward to you being able to try it. Certification is a little slower process than I thought it would be. It's in the certification process as "Under Device Test" so I'm guessing someone manually installs it on their Gear Fit 2 and makes sure it doesn't blow up the device or something.
As for how I learned, start by downloading the Gear Watch Designer program. I used Samsung's tutorial on how to use the program to get started. Then a lot of trial and error and reading up on their forum. Unfortunately, not a lot of information was found here or on the web for that matter (maybe too many people trying to keep things secret so they can charge money). If I find time, I'll try writing a tutorial or something.
I look forward to seeing some of your stuff!

Great job!
Wonderful to see people getting into dev mode.
Well, it took Samsung a week and a half to notice that THEIR asset has a XII in place of IV. My watchface got rejected for that one reason. So, I fixed their asset and reuploaded. As soon as it goes live, I'll let you all know.
Yeah! Watch face approved. Search in the Samsung Gear app under AnalogBlack.
Remember, if you have a request, please let me know and I'll see what I can do.
i am looking a watchface with barometer and altimeter, the only one in the store put too many elements on the screen and is very difficult to press an item without interference

I've not done one with those before, so I'll see what I can do. If you have an idea of how you want it to look, give me a sketch. Otherwise, I'll just make one up as I think it looks best.
recent installed your watchface. Well done Coal686
Very functional for me.
thanks for this job.
PD: If you dont mind, can you make the same watchface with digital time?
Thanks a lot
i'd like a digital watch with info for steps, Kcal, heart, weather and off course altimeter/barometer (with manual calibration option or if it is possible calibrated from GPS in auto mode )
if remain a little space also a battery indicator (it would be nice a simple row at the bottom)
i don't like very much material better a supertech way

Yours was easiest so I started with it. Wasn't sure if you wanted 12 hr or 24 hr time so I did one of each. Both are approved in the Samsung Store. Look for DigitalBlack24h or DigitalBlack12h. I'll post screenshots tomorrow.

Cool story bro.
Sent from a Glade Plugin.
another idea
the fit has a gps so it would be nice to be able to read some info about position on a watchface
is it possible?

I like all of your ideas, but I am limited by what the Gear Watch Designer program can do and by my own knowledge of how to use it. I especially like the idea of somehow incorporating GPS since I know the device does track that when you run. I'm wondering if some of the watch faces in the store use the Samsung SDK instead of the GWD program and that gives them more advanced functionality.
On a side note, I wanted to let you know that I'm sorry I haven't had time to work on your ideas. I'm in the process of upgrading parts in my laptop and desktop, so I haven't been able to work on watch faces recently.
Don't tell my boss, but I had been doing them here at work when he was out of office. :highfive: However, after I fix up my home gear, I'll be able to work on them at home and hopefully will be more productive on them.
no problem i also want to try GWD but my time after work is really very very low
and my knowledge of GWD also lower
i have seen an interesting sofware from neonto (it seems powerfull) but is only MAC
i'll wait for better days
