Well I Can't install Xposed on my G530T, It says
Xposed is not yet compatible with Android SDK Version 22 or your processor architecture (armeabi-v7a)
I am rooted and I have no custom rom installed.
Thank you! (Also I'm new to all of this, so sorry if I sound like a idiot!)
Okay you must use this route method
http://forum.xda-developers.com/grand-prime/development/kernel-root-root-sm-g530t-5-1-1-t3203476
and you must have this ROM installed or xposed won't work, and the rom won't work unless you use that root method.

And here's the xposed framework http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/unofficial-xposed-samsung-lollipop-t3180960

Thank you man! I have one question. Do I download the Rom On my Computer or Phone? Also When I open FlashFire On my phone, it automatically closes.
You can download it on your computer and move it to your phone or directly to your phone. And as far as flash fire goes I'm not sure why it's closing like that..

Ok, Ok. So just a few more questions because I'm super new.
First I use Odin to Install that TrapKernelG5 thing, When I do that does it come with Root?
Ya trap kernel comes with root, and you need that root method to install the rom, cause the rom needs the kernel from the root method. And the xposed framework needs that rom to work .

You should flash back or restore mj2...they are nearly identical in speed and every other featured identical...All it did was knox and e fuse....Both of which suck and you Def don't want. Hope you have a backup you can restore. If not I can send you a stock rooted backup you can restore. I9205 only

U should try
1. Install recovery via Odin
2. Install supersu via cwm. Make sure you copy supersu at your sdcard download this http://download.chainfire.eu/372/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.86.zip
3. Install supersu sdcard

This is the first method I tried...then I tried compiling my own auto root...and lastly I decompiled the entire rom and picked thru it piece by piece. If you read thru the posts about the new firmware you'll see the explanation of the work I'm doing and what I've found about Knox...I've even managed to reset the Knox warranty counter back to 00, but can't get it to stock up on reboots. I appreciate the the lookout, but between the 2 firmwares bmj2 and the newest one is Knox and efuse. That's literally all, so I don't really recommend the update until we can figure out more thorough ways around these.
I on BMJ2 so far I have the issue is about the internal stroge.... WiFi is OK..
If you have update to the latest version after rooting flash the original recovery to get working wifi...
I read from some other thread....
From note 2 they have the wifi fix...
How I Root this Rom whit Knox bootloader and appl:
(Warning:
We must take care.
If we flash something like recovery, root... the Knox Warranty Void turn to 0x1. This flag at 0x1 is not reversible.)
1- First of all I have a appl superuser.apk (SuperSU v1.80) on extSdCard. For now I prefer this version.
2- Flash by Odin the i9205-cwm-recovery.tar.md5. Reboot.
3- Power off. On recovery by Power + Vol-up I flash the UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.80.zip from Chainfire. Thanks @Chainfire . Root but not Busybox.
4- After reboot the SuperSU stop sometimes, it is installed on system/app and Knox not permit all access at system.
5- Then, whit Explorer from Rom I go at extSdCard and touch on superuser.apk and install it. This way the apk is installed on data/app. Root solved.
6- Now we can touch on icon SuperSU, this start and ask us to invalidate Knox. We must say Yes.
7- Installed Busybox 1.21.1 of Stericson from Play Store (touch on icon to instal it). Verified whit "Root Verifier". It's all, we have all root now.
For me on some Rom's on + 3 Knox devices, no problem. Wifi Work well.
See THIS and THIS.
I have read it and my question is how can I upgrade CML1 without flashing the new bootloder, and modem and have all worked...

That was on first leaked Rom MJ5 to N7100, not official that had 4 files. In this case if we not include BL on Odin the bootloader is not flashed. I Tried this on one N7100 and this Flash deleted all my internal Sd Card. For me No more leaked Rom's. Are whit many bugs.
But the normal Roms have only one file whit 10 to 14 modules all included and we must see what are the bootloader. Must be from 3 to 6 files. I don't know witch are. You can't use this example not usual.

Agreed. ..The example mentioned above is about a leaked mj5 for att note 2...I also have the att note 2 i317 and it's suffering the same problem as the att note 3...Knox...The simple fact is no one has been able to break thru the Knox laced bootloader as the 1024 bit encryption is more than likely unbreakble...The thing is the official Roms come with new bootloader that has knox and selinux...knox has an enctyption that basiclaly encloses the kernel. This is the lockout you see when trying to odin back from ml2 to mj2 or another previous firmware. Since thr kernel is inside the knox protocol which is inside the bootloader were not only fighting the knox but the linux and bl. Its a mess to say the least. I am working on some workarounds but its taking time.
moral of the story...DO NOT DO THE UPDATE TO ML2...ALL I BRINGS IS KNOX AND SELINUX...no speed or performance updates.

A while back I used Adam Outler's Casual method to root my phone to Stock. I don't mind stock and root mostly for the Tethering. Then when the 4.3 OTA was pushed I used BeansTown106 method to stay rooted and such. It has been working for a year now... until about 2 weeks ago, my tethering stopped working..
Was something just pushed/fixed by Verizon? I just want the tethering to work. The odd thing is, I checked and still have root. Oh, BTW, I am running Sophisticated 3 ROM. I am willing to change if necessary.
Please help! Thanks

Xposed Framework?
Thanks for the reply. I looked into the module you mentioned. The first step was, "Be rooted and have the Xposed framework installed".
With me having Sophisticated 3 installed, would this be an issue? Is there a guide on how to install Xposed for the Note 2?
Thanks

good you dont need ghettoroot
you just run the installer.
then open the app and click framework.
click install and let it reboot when finished.
now go back into the xposed app in your app drawer.
click download
click the magnifying glass and search for xtether
in the xposed app go to modules
check the xtether box to activate it
reboot one last time
now start wifi tether
Problem Solved
Upon installing the Xposed, I found that "Media" was taking up all my battery and processing power. After I cleared all apps and deleted all files that I might have been corrupt... the tethering started working again. I was very odd but it's working again. I hope this might help someone else as well.
Thanks urphonesux for all your help!

You don't have to have service to root and device. However you to need service to use the data for the wifi tethering. You would use Odin to flash and custom recovery(TWRP or Phils') if you have not already done so. Then you would use the custom recovery to flash a SU(Super user/Root) zip file and you would have a rooted device.
You don't need to use the 3.18 version of the app but you misread, "AT&T and T-Mobile Hotspot testing live(use v3.1.8 and report any issues please)", the dev just wants feedback from users on those carriers.

No, I don't think you understand. You use Odin to flash a custom recovery to a Samsung device or a stock image, bootloader, etc. Then you use the custom recovery to flash a ROM that is rooted or flash a SU zip that has the binaries and or some other goodies for root. However, this does require you to read, a lot, since there are several different version and updates for this phone. The link that has been provided is a download for an app that you would install after you have root, but before you tried to do any of this you should have read and read some more until you understood what you were doing. From the post that you have been placing in this thread you have not read any of the links I have and others have provided and don't know what steps you were trying to do, so I not sure if I can help.
The best thing to do is to use odin and flash a stock tar, but you have to read, read, read. You need to know what firmware version you had before doing this, if not you can mess the phone up bad.
I use "WiFi Tether Router". It's in the app store and it works great for me.
i tried to use the safestrap method and bricked my phone but samsmobile and odin saved my life again, but I know I can root the ota, but what really can we do with it? is it possible it install xposed or can we do anything with it other then getting rom toolbox??? im just curious and I don't want to go exploring and do more damage I was lucky I saved my phone this time.......
Hello again!
i flashed xposed successfully on stang5litre's oc1 5.0.1 lollipop rom. I don't know about stock though, i believe your rom has to be deodexed. :good:
Well now I got my phone working there is no way I can down grade or get a recovery and flash roms or get a dexoted rom or anything. ?? I only went back to Android from apple for the roms. Time for an upgrade already

To install stang5litre's rom you don't have to downgrade anything or install a custom recovery. All you have to do is install the app called FlashFire. google how to do it or on xda

Hey guys! I finally rooted my s4 on OF1 , thanks to @klabit87 for posting OC1 and OF1 kernel for our s4.
UPDATE!
Now KingRoot supports OF1 build, thanks to @chaotic_jose for reporting it!
Download KingRoot
OLD METHOD:
Steps to root Samsung Galaxy S4 I545 on OF1 Lollipop:
1. Download OC1 kernel from here.
2. Install kernel via Odin 3 (Kernel goes on AP) .
3. Install Wondershare MobileGo or KingRoot for Windows on your PC
4. Enable USB debugging on your phone (Click here to see how to enable USB debugging)
5. Connect your phone to your PC and let MobileGo/King Root to recognize it
6. Once MobileGo/King Root have recognized your phone just click One-Click Root option[MobileGo]/The blue button[KingRoot] and wait.
7. [Optional] Flash OF1 kernel again (Get it from 1st step).
8. [If Wondershare didn't] Install SuperSU from Google Play (or any other source)
9. Open SuperSU and update binaries (do not accept the knox option that SuperSU prompts at first launch, it's unstable)
10. That's all! Enjoy your rooted S4

F.A.Q.
Q: My WonderShare trial expired!
A: Open your CMD (Windows key + R then write CMD and press Enter) then run this command: rd "C:/ProgramData/wondershare"
Q: Can I install Cyanogenmod/AOSP?
A: If you have MDK bootloader and a custom recovery (TWRP/CWM), you can.
Q: Can I install a custom Kernel?
A: If you have MDK bootloader, you can.
Q: Can I install TWRP/CWM/PHILZ?
A: No, you can't unless you have MDK bootloader .
Q: Which bootloader does my galaxy have?
A: Download terminal emulator and run this commands:
su
getprop ro.bootloader
The last 3 characters are the mostly used to refer to your bootloader
Q: At least can I get SafeStrap?
A: No, SafeStrap only works for Kitkat and bellow .
Q: Can I downgrade my phone?
A: If your bootloader it's OC1/OF1 you won't be able to do anything, bootloader it's locked.
Q: So what can I do to this dam**t phone?
A: Easy dude, you still can install some rom's and apply some other tweaks, next section it's about this
Things you may want to do after rooting your device:
Debloat your S4
There are some ways to remove Samsung apps we don't like
Using scripts to do the work, there are some tools on Verizon S4 forum. I used OC1 batch debloater, worked fine for me .
Manually it's a bit more complicated but you have the control, my suggestion for this way is:
1. Install any File Explorer with root capabilities, my personal(favorite) choise is MiXplorer
2. Open the left menu (swipe from left screen edge to right) and pick Root option
3. Navigate to system folder and open it
4. Open app folder
5. Select the folders that contains all those apps you don't want, after you have selected all of them, delete them
6. Repeat steaps 4 and 5, the difference is that now you will do it in priv-app folder
7. Reboot your device
Take care with last method, if you delete something really important(E.G: SystemUI) you may mess up your device
Install flashfire
If you dont know what FlashFire is, basicly is a tool to flash some packages (like a recovery) in our phone.
As we can't install CWM, TWRP, etc, FlashFire is a great option (still cannot instal CM, or something like that but we can flash some mods and touchwiz based roms).
Here is the Official thread. Become a tester in Play Store, install it and use it.
Take care with what you do with this app, you can hard brick your phone.
Custom ROM
There are some roms that you can flash via FlashFire on OF1, here is the list and the link to the original thread:
1. stang5litre Ediition 5.0
2. Albe95 S6 FULL PORT 4.7
3. Albe95 ASTRA v2 Note 5 PORT
Install Busybox
Busybox is an useful tool, it allows you to use some handy Linux/Unix commands, btw most of us install it for some apps/mods like Viper4Android, L Speed, etc.
I recommend to flash it via FlashFire with this tool, you don't have nothing to do, just wait some seconds and that's all.
If you don't want to flash the previously tool, you can search in Google Play the word "Busybox", and you'll find a lot of apps that allows you to install it.
Please if u find another method to root S4 i545, post it, we can put different methods and everybody will be able to root their S4!
PSI: if I made some mistakes (writing) sorry, my first language is spanish
Nice job man!!!! Congrats !!
Great job! Many users will appreciate this for sure! :good:
I just tried this method and it worked rooting my OF1 S4. I Odin flashed the OC1 kernel in the AP slot, installed WonderShare and it rooted on the first try. Thanks!

Seems to be good now. Thanks!

Quick question: Do we have any options for custom recovery/ROM on OF1 right now? I tried flashing Philz, TWRP, and CM recoveries but none of them took.

Flashfire is the only way to flash.
And stang has a solid ROM you can flash any oc1 ROM that is based on touchwiz
Finally!!
I was busy yesterday trying kingroot on a downgraded kernel.. lol
But i guess king get's stuck because they read the build number... and wondershare doesn't so they don't give up! lol
Will give all my thanks when my Thanks button get's recharged !

What does wondershare put in, super user?? A white one?
It put in SU. The security app popped up saying that I installed something that shouldn't be on the phone but I froze that in Titanium Backup. I couldn't kill that app so freezing it worked.
@Edgardo_Uchiha
You should add step 7 to flash back to OF1 kernel... :good:
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank You!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got it working. Thanks again!
Now how do I use flashfire to install a custom rom? I want to go to a cyangenmod rom, now that I have root. That should be possible now right? I hope!!!
See: http://www.themobimag.com/how-to-in...1-android-5-1-1-on-verizon-samsung-galaxy-s4/
update this almost works-> http://galaxys4root.com/galaxy-s4-r...erizon-galaxy-s4-with-me7-firmware-safestrap/
It does not work because of safestrap see: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=56030788#post56030788
v 3.75 A03 wont work for us because safestrap can not load. Without safestrap we are stuck with touchwiz only roms. I am hoping either safestrap gets another update or we find another method to install custom recovery.
