So i'm trying to test a few apps out on a OP2. However, it's proving rather difficult to do so...
Has anyone had a problem with this and solved it somehow?
Install new clean rom ( aospa or dunno , something aosp based ) or you could factory reset the device ( something similar happened on oneplus one , I easily got rid of it by factory reset )

classic! I was nervous about allowing system update to go ahead so wanted to figure out how to system backup first - all signs pointed to needing root access, which pointed to needing custom rom ; I followed a bloody guide which not only didn't work, but despite assurances, on wiping my data (which I'm not bothered about) the boot also seems to be wiped - great so I can't recover or boot now
I get furthest with your ROM than anyone elses (they all say android-info.txt is missing)
yours get's verified but fails with "failed to parse build number" ... souce Wilefox/Swift2/marmite: 7.1.1/NMF26F/decf3a575d:user/release/keys
... some similar messages then:
Verifying current system...
E3001: Package expects build fingerprint of Wileyfox/Swift2/marmite/:7.1.1/N6F26Y/aa4d5d86bc:user/release-keys; this device has Wileyfox/swift2/marmite:7.1.2/N2G47Z/ofcf4099d0:user/release-keys.

all help gratefully received!
whew...sorted...sort of!
finally I have my phone back on track...mostly : hopefully this will help anyone else in the same boat:
- managed to force a build of TWRP into recovery using fastboot / flash - ignored all warnings as I figured it's sodded now anyway - how much worse can it get!
- used TWRP to install Lineage OS marmite : "lineage-14.1-20170929-UNOFFICIAL-marmite" is the only one I could get to work - TWRP was really helpful as it warned why the others wouldn't work - I didn't realise crackling was a completely seperate, previous build, incompatible with the Swift 2x (it's my 1st WileyFox ! )
- then installed the excellent gapps pico (arm64 / 7.1.x) to get basic play store etc. I noticed ALL google stuff is not in the build - that's COOL - you can open, like, your own phone without having to sign in : superbulous
- the only (small) flies left in the ointment are that I use FJSoft MPE to keep all my data synced. However I also backed up apps, but whatsapp unfortunately didn't restore my history. unfortunately the last time I did a backup (to a google drive on my phone google account was August ) However all my sms/call logs/calendar/contacts are back :victory:
unbelievably despite the length of this post I have not even scratched the surface of the palaver this all was - this is not what I have time to be doing right now : I have been forced to learn all this TWRP / flashing in a feverish panic - glad I did now. as usual I'm impressed by the lovely people who do things like provide ROMs for us desperados : thanks to the ROM providers etc
what would be nice is if wileyfox provided a stock ROM we could download - I may contact them and see if they will - I can add it to recovery options
- debating with self now whether to accept the fact that I'm back on track, not to take risk of adding root access - not sure but think I need it for adding usb otg - anyway that's really another topic
My Honor 5x has been hacked and has somehow gotten a RAT (Remote Administration Tool) or something related installed on it. The user of the tool has tried taking my information but hasn't gotten any (as far as I know). I have tried everything I could think of to fix this, yet nothing has worked.
Things I have tried:
1.) Resetting - I have reset my phone 8 times now, it has not helped at all.
2.) Flashing new ROM - I have flashed my phone twice, I thought this would have worked, it didn't. I flashed the stock rom from huawei itself, and locally installed the update to get it to Android 6.0.1
3.) Hard resetting - Basically the same as a reset, has done nothing.
Info:
* Huawei Honor 5x - KIW-L24
* Running Android 6.0.1 / EMUI 4.0 (was 4.1, but after resets and flash, was 4.0)
How can I get rid of this? It seems to be installed somewhere where it can't be uninstalled, I've looked through system processes and everything, nothing looks out of the normal.
You gotta be more specific than that..... Like why you think you have rat and how did the hacker tried to take your info
Hi everyone ,
I'm writting here because i have some problems with my moto z.
I'll do a little resumer of what i've done with my moto Z before "bricking" it.
Firstly i got a Moto Z with the firmware XT1650 - 03. I decided to switch to the lineage custom rom because the oreo update was horrible for my battery.
So i used adb soft , unlocked the moto Z , installed TWRP and flashed the lineage os + the gapps. Everything was fine for a few month , then i saw a new custom rom on the XDA site , the "AOSP extended" i installed it i worked fine but it wasn't wat i expected , so i tried to go back to the lineage OS. I followed the "instruction" on the last post about it on this site https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-z/development/rom-lineage-os-15-x-t3674351 .
And then the problem start.
First i tried to instal magisk , i started rebooting as indicated in the magisk tuto , but my device started to loop on the loading screen . I tried to restart it on the TWRP and flash the lineage OS plus the gapps but now it ask a password to boot and when i enter it it say the device need to factory reset.
I don't have any backupimage on me and the TWRP can't mount the internal storage , after every flash or anything else it say Failed to mount '/data'.
Can anybody help me , i can't find a solution. I don't care about what's on the internal storage and i have a sd card of 4 go (for any file to instal without accessing the phone ).
If you have a solution i'm ready to listen to you , thk for anybody who read this message.
I have a Galaxy S III GT-I9300 I bought in 2014. After three years, I downloaded a custom ROM from xda-developers (android 4.3 is all I remember about it) and installed it successfully. It worked alright until one day when I wanted to sell the phone and a customer wanted to buy it on short notice, and I rushed to delete my files from the phone, but I destroyed the Android... I connected it to my laptop and shift-deleted some system files.... since then, the phone is delaying when trying to unlock (if i lock it now and try to unlock it a few times, it opens harder and harder), when I'm using apps it continously shows that some .com processess stopped working, and if I try to turn on the bluetooth, the phone instantly freezes and restarts itself.
I tried reinstalling two original ROMs, (version 4.1.2) successfully, but the data on the phone&the system problems remain the same.
I'd like to know how can I make a hard reset, meaning in deleting all the files&settings as it was brand new, just to clear everything, like clearing CMOS. I also think the recovery mode is damaged and I'd like to fix it somehow (if this is possible). The installation process I did for installing the custom ROM from XDA-devs was long and complicated, I had to do a lot of things... and I just want to get the phone fixed and restore to default (or even to fix bugs on this android version) its android, kernel & everything could be ,,reflashed''.
I'm willing to pay if someone helps me fix the problems and it really works. Thank you!
