Hi all,
When I try to move apps to SD card through settings it says that apps could not be transferred. When I try to transfer them one by one from apps menu it says that I have no memory. Does anyone have the same problem?

Strange.
I have no idea.
Not happened to me.
Or it can or it can't move.
But for in the future, installing apps, this will help with the internal storage problem.

Thanks for answering, but at this time I don't want to root my phone. It's strange because this feature worked well on lollipop.
I don't know the problem but here is the procedure:
* Restarting Xperia
* Clearing cache under storage settings menu
* Trying vol up + power button combination
* Reinstalling apps
* Repairing software via PC Companion

I installed all my apps directly after the repair via PC Companion and I can't move any apps, even the ones that I just installed.
Rebooting the device with no results.

Have you ticked advanced mode in settings?
AOKP 4 LYF
yeah ive tried that too. Still just wont let me tick the boxes, so i tried Uninstalling it, and reinstalling it. still nothing.
Try setting superuser to auto allow all
AOKP 4 LYF
how do i do this?
you mean like.. when superuser comes up, auto allow it? if so already done that when first booted and when i had to reinstall.
* btw i dont know if this will help, but the only thing i can actually click, is the * Download cache part. which says i need to reboot, so i try and reboot with S2E and it says superuser persmissions granted and does nothing.. go back nothings changed, says i need to reboot still, so i reboot manually. open up again, and its still the same lol. saying i need to reboot..
RIGHT at the bottom of the list,
" Moving from /cache to /sd-ext
Reboot is required! "
auto allowing is not recommended.. malicious apps may take advantage of root [which can do anything]

Running out Of Memory
Turn off phone, Remove your sdcard. Check with mini partition home edition what is your secondary filetype (ext2,3,or 4). Format to ext4, then on s2e, tick mount as ext4. Reboot and voila.

Want to say a BIG THANKYOU !!! to everyone thats helped. was annoying the hell out of me !
just a quick question. when i download and install new apps, will they automatically go to my sd-ext ?
My Wi-Fi had been working fine since I bought my phone almost a year ago. I recently downloaded "Words with Friends," and that app has crashed many times on my phone. After a crash on that app today, my phone restarted itself --> and I noticed that I was unable to turn my Wi-Fi on. I click the Wi-Fi button in the quick settings menu, and it is green for a while and it turns white again. It does not even find any networks since it cannot turn itself on.
I thought that maybe if I upgraded my firmware that this would fix itself. I have now upgraded to the latest firmware via Kies. However, after the upgrade I tried to connect my phone with Kies again, and it doesn't want to connect. It says: "No sim card inserted. Unable to continue communication." My sim card is inserted, and I am able to make phone calls like always.
Note: I have never installed any custom rom's on my phone. Everything is original. Also, I have deleted "Words with Friends."
Yes, I have tried to restart the phone several times, as well as removing/inserting the sim-card.
Can someone please help me with these issues I am experiencing?
• Unable to open Wi-Fi.
• Unable to activate Mobile Data.
• "No sim card inserted. Unable to continue communication." with Kies.
• Unable to get into Settings > Security ("Unfortunately, Settings has stopped.")
• Unable to adjust screen brightness from home screen (swipe the quick menu bar at the top).
It seems like I cannot take screen shots either (I used to hold in the home button and click the power button before), but it does not work any more.

Yeah try a factory reset and most probably the conflict might go away.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda app-developers app

How can I save my messages so I have them after the factory reset? I managed to save my contacts in a vCard file and put that on my computer.
I tried to factory reset, and everything seems to be working fine now.
I managed to save my contacts (exported them from the phone and imported them back in the phone), but sadly not my messages. My pictures did not get deleted from my phone, neither did my created folders and my content in there. My apps were deleted, however I only had free apps that were easy to install again.
Thank you guys for helping out.
What do you think could have been the cause of this?
Hi m8s,
I own a Sony Xperia S LT26i and yesterday i broked my screen/touchscreen. I'm wondering how to recover my files without using touchscreen. The main problem is the unlocking, the phone is functional but i can't unlock without screen to use Sony PC Companion software and access internal storage.
The phone is detected by PC when i'm pluggin' USB cable, i see the partition but i can't see files.
Here a few screen's with the detected phone:

Go into flashmode, use adb, for detailed information on using adb use the search option above. It's not easy but shouldn't be too hard either.
[Galaxy Note 3 - Dr.Ketan's K6 ROM]
[Galaxy Note 2 - DN3 v4 RC2]
[Xperia Neo L - Customized Stock ICS]
Your options will be pretty limited unless either rooted with a custom recovery and / or you had already enabled USB Debugging.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1800799
If you had enabled USB Debugging, there is also the option of stopping by a bigger cell phone carrier store and pay some $ to have them use their CellBrite machine or whatever similar tool they use where ever you are.
Other option would be if you know anyone else with the same phone where you could just swap motherboards for a bit, long enough to get your data. I use this option at my shop to help people out when like they and their spouse have the same phone and are in your predicament.
This might be a good time to look into some apps or services that can auto backup your stuff so in the event something like this happens again, you aren't at a total loss.
I've connected my Sony Xperia Z5 Compact ES823 to the computer, but it doesn't detect the device. I've downloaded Xperia_Z5_Compact_driver.zip but no luck.

well to be honest I never used this method to install drivers to my device for couple reasons: ( i do use this method to other devices some times though)
1) there is no need to do this if you are only planning to be able to see the folders and files in your computer (connect in MTP mode) it doesnt require driver -> windows should automatically do it whether its windows 7 or 10. check your wifi or some thing.
2) I use sony PC companion , now they call it "Xperia companion" it installs drivers once you install the EXE file so yah...
try to right click on it and update via windows update (install drivers using windows update option) and if still didnt workout, delete the driver with the warning sign next to it and disconnect your phone and reconnect it again and clean install the drivers.
tell me how does that work out for you
Can you help me with something, i want to put new firmware on phone, what to select or not to select a thing, i want full wipe of everything

as you see there are two colums with 2 windows each
left colum is what to wipe
right colum is what is going to be installed
so when flashing ftf you need to wipe every thing which means the left side options should all be ticked in both windows except master reset I guess but once I tried 2 times to tick it and not to tick it, i havent seen any difference but i perfer ticking every thing
Hello.
I need help to solve the problems that have a device that gave my girlfriend.
Model: Huawei Asencion Y520-u33
The phone lights up perfectly.
The problem is after starting and unlocking it, the typical problem of '' Unfortunately, the application stopped ''
The most common applications to stop without doing something are:
-Google services
-Google play store
When trying to clear cache or application data it will not let me. I give it to it and it remains the same as it was. Then I try to uninstall applications and when I start the uninstallation I get: "Settings, keychain, contacts, etc" have been stopped and finally when I try to uninstall them by holding them in the main screen and give it to uninstall: "'launcher3' has stopped ' :crying:
It will not let me enter the settings until I restart.
Restart the phone and I go to the section where I get the option to restore factory (I really do not want to recover any data on this phone) :crying:
I choose what I want to restore from the factory and it turns out that the phone sends me to the recovery (and I do not have problems with this because I manage well with the phones and computers, I have some knowledge)
Here's the other problem, in the recovery I'm supposed to go up and down with the volume keys, Right! but to select the button to turn on.
... ... ...
For some reason when I press turn on to accept it does not do anything it is as if it does not work, but the button works correctly. (When the phone is on as if it were to be used in a common way) then I can not reset the factory either.
Try some things with the '' fastboot '' but it did not detect me sometimes to the phone, I mean, if I have the drivers for mtk phones but when I activate the USB debugging in settings, when restarting the programmer functions are disabled and I suppose then that when I activate them and turn off the phone to enter the fastboot it is already deactivated.
Try using the flash sp to install a recovery exactly the twrp, I could not install it, also try the cwm, either. When trying to install with the sp I loaded the scatter and the recovery later. when pressing "discharge" the bar would turn yellow until it loaded. at the end he said '' you can not do just the download '' or something like that.
I would really like to repair the phone and if in addition to removing the problem that I think is the '' rom '' could also tell me (if the problem was solved) that rom could put.
