Kyocera C6745 UPGRADE TO MARSHMALLOW 6 - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

What will be the process of upgrading a Kyocera C6745
Lollipop 5 to marshmallow 6?

I think you need to get it rooted first, and that's a problem right now. I have the same phone and can't find a way to root it. I tried king root and got root access, but it wasn't permanet, after I installed an app, it lost root access. And I tried, and I tried, and always the same happened.

[Q] Stock S4 Lollipop update fails

Hello Everyone,
I have an S4 SCH-I545 and my Lollipop update is failing. I did root a long time ago with Towlroot (i think thats what its call). Then got a OTA update awhile back, checked root with rootchecker and it said no root access. I figured the OTA reset my root?
Then today I get the two lollipop updates, 1st one installs fine however the second keeps failing.
Is this because I rooted awhile back even though rootchecker said no root access?
I checked again before this post and no root from the rootchecker app.
Root Access: no acess
SU: SU Found [/system/xbin/]
Does this mean I have root or half a root? haha
What else can i do?
Update Fails, Too!
Having the exact same issue with the exact same background. I've tried doing the update a few times now to no avail. Keeps failing each time. It seems to download the data fine (initially I didn't have enough memory space so I had to delete a bunch of apps) but then once it starts to "install" the update it gets about 30% through it and then fails.

[Q] Rom for hauwei raven H892L?

I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a cyanogenmod rom that worked with this phone. Thank you.
UNLOCKING raven H892L
ME too. How can I root or unlock this phone.? Help please.
Try Kingo Root
do a google search for Kingo Root.
Its the only one I could find that worked but i still have a few issues.
Cant update or install recovery.
Cant gain Root for some apps.
Cant update SU.
Cand update Busy Box.
But one caveat is that i Rooted mine using Kingo around mid 2015.
There have been several updates to Kingo since then and while none have fixed my problem it may be able to do yours without error.
Make sure you use "Kingo" and not "king" or some other similar name as there are several and it can be confusing.

Any other methods for rooting work for every models
There's always the difficult ADB way. Have you tried that method?
No I can't know??
Huh?
Kingroot is **** tokbe honest. If you cant root it the manual way just search a video on youtube how to root it or even on here. Alot safe. Kingroot takes all your personnal informations and do wathever the heck they want with it. If you are okay with that fine but id rather take 20 mins to root it the hard way and be sure everything is well done

Root cricket Kyocera hydro view. HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!

Can some one help me root a Kyocera hydro view with no computer . its from cricket it runs lollipop.
Try either kingoroot or kingroot... Kingoroot worked on my Hydro Icon.
Sent from my KYOCERA-C6745 using Tapatalk
I was able to gain root access for about 2 minutes before phone reset itself using kingoroot. Has anyone found an exploit or any other rooting methods?
I have been trying to root my kyocera hydro root since I got it but have had no success, I have tried every root method I could find but all have failed. The closest was kingoroot that did get su installed 2 times but the location of su was not able to update and upon reboot disappeared.

ill touch base with you it i find something out also i have the same phone it has been a real a$# kicker:crying::crying:
Has anyone had any more luck rooting the Kyocera Hydro View? As the others before me, I've had temporary luck with Kingo Root, but nothing beyond that. This phone desperately needs Marshmallow or at least root so that the default app install location can be changed. I can live with all it's other faults, but the storage situation is hard to get past. I had hoped to be able to root and use something like link2sd or even do a 'pm set-install-location 2' to make use of external storage and get more than only a few apps installed at a time, but no luck with only the temporary root provided by Kingo Root. The improved storage management available in Marshmallow would be ideal, but I'm trying not to get my hopes too high for that.
Have you tried Kingroot? you can usually get temp root to uninstall apps, but it might reboot itself, but if your fast, you can make changes before you lose root. But you will lose your ability to get cricket updates. You'll get a warning that the device is suspected of rooting.
Still no root for this device?

I finally got it to permanently root with Kingo Root. Took numerous times running it and phone sometimes rebooted, updated and optimized files. Did eventually root and stick permanently but took A LOT of patience. Have to keep running Kingo Root and rebooting phone. It will also reboot itself sometimes, have to let it do its thing. Again, lots of patience, rebooting phone, restarting Kingo Root, waiting, rebooting, re-starting Kingo Root...................on and on. Like 10 times or more maybe.
After root, how to get the system?

After those 10 times, did the root finally stick? Bit confused by your post? Do you still have to re-root after reboot or is it permanent?

I see two websites for Kingo Root. Which one do I trust?
While KingoRoot was a failure, KingRoot seems to temporarily acquire root after much work, only to lose it on next reboot. Unfortunately, but has allowed me to at least remove some bloatware on this 3.5GB internal storage device. Wew.
While signing up for Cricket and finding out my T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 4G from 2007 wouldn't work on their network, made a snap buy of the Kyocera. None of the 3 people spoken to while signing up with Cricket mentioned an online promotion for portaling an existing number in which I could have gotten a better phone for free or a good discount on a much, much better phone. Found out next day and wanted to take advantage of the promotion but everyone says, 'portal already happened, you missed out, we own your ****, too late.'
So far I am not impressed with their customer service. My bad for snap buy of the Kyocera deserves no praise, however.
Will try it!

URGENT!!!

I have an LG G3 32gb D85521A but I can't root it with the 5.0 firmware it came with. I need to downgrade to KitKat in order to root it, but I don't know which KDZ to use.
Which one is for the 32Gb version and what happens if I use the wrong one?
At this moment I have
Europe D85530B_00_1217.kdz
Greece D85510L_00.kdz
Spain D85521A_00.kdz
The way I see it, the Spanish seems to be the one I need (D85521A matches my model), but what happens after I root the phone and need to upgrade back to 5.0? Will LG Suite install its Spanish counterpart of 5.0?
GOOD NEWS!!!
I've managed to root my LG G3 without the need to downgrade to KitKat. PurpleDrake's method helped me do that and Root Check confirmed it, but:
1) I've followed PurpleDrake's instruction and went online to install SuperSU and it said something about a binary update, that there is another root in the system that prevents SuperSU from updating and that I should uninstall it in order to proceed.
2) In one of my attempts to root my phone I've installed Kingroot but it failed to root it. (there were some ads and when I scrolled down there was something about a memory boost and a button TRY IT. It required internet connection so I gave up. The root didn't work so I've uninstalled the app, or so I thought.
After PurpleDrake's root I've performed a factory reset to see if SuperSU stays in place, but instead of that I saw Kingroot stuck in my system.
Is there a way to totally get rid of Kingroot and keep SuperSU even after a factory reset?
Is Kingroot the program that prevents SuperSU from updating, or PurpleDrake conflict with it?
