Icoo d70g2 rom flash - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have an ICOO D70G2 7" tablet that will not boot. Any assistance with finding an img file for this device and instructions on how to flash the ROM would be much appreciated. The recovery screen has only the following:
Recovery Mode
Fastboot Mode
Normal
If I go into recovery, I get the following options.
reboot system now
apply update from ADB
apply update from sdcard
apply update from cache
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
backup user data
restore user data
I have both Win10 and Win7 for doing the flash.

Hello All,
i tried to install SBF ATT-2.3.4_Pudding_preroot and i get a Booting loop with the Motorola logo.
before the instillation i had a Unlocked, rooted Android 2.3.4FR version with CherryBlur 1.4D.
what i did is perform a full format of the phone with factory reset and full wipe (thru the recovery). now i get this boot looping and i dont have the recovery (i get "!" sign with Android icon.

Sounds like you have stock recovery. Did you try the lower right corner of the screen with the !, or might have to hit Vol up and vol down at the same time if you were on 2.3.4.. Hope this helps..

[Q] (HELP ME) SGS+ stuck in cwm recovery!

I got a problem whit my sgs+. It doesnt go anywheare from cwm 5.504. I tried to install CyanogenMod 9 and it actually installed but when i reboot it does the reboot and comes back to CWM. I followed thease intructions:
Installation:
Back up your apps with TitaniumBackup. Backup your SMS with SMS Backup & Restore and your call logs with Call log Backup & Restore. Export your contacts to a .vcf file.
First a special version of CWM recovery is needed, FeaMod does not work because it does not set partition sizes for CyanogenMod 9 correctly. The new recovery can restore FeaMod Recovery backups in case you want to return to one later. There are many ways how to install the recovery, choose one:
Flash CWM5504-CM9-recovery.zip inside FeaMod (boot into recovery, apply update from sdcard) or stock recovery
or use Quickflasher from broodplank:
Connect phone via USB, start sgsflasher_x86.exe, activate "Flash a new Recovery", select the recovery.img and press "Start Now".
or use Odin to flash recovery-clockwork-5.5.0.4-ariesve.tar.md5 as One Package using the regular AriesVE.ops (Tutorial)
or flash recovery.img using the command line/adb by putting it on your sdcard and executing the commands:
adb shell
su
dd if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p13
CyanogenMod9 comes as a zip that is installed inside recovery. Download cm-9-20121023-EXPERIMENTAL-ariesve-beta3.zip and put it on your sdcard.
Reboot into CWM Recovery
Perform a backup!
Wipe data/factory reset
Wipe Cache partition
Advanced > Wipe dalvik cache
Install zip from sdcard (choose cm-9-20121023-EXPERIMENTAL-ariesve-beta3.zip)
.........................................................................................
So the .zip file seesms to install but my phone doesnt open up whit cyancolen or the stock rom... In the recowery menus i can do anythin i want but i think i dont do the righy things so could someone help me?
thanks
Try clearing cache and dslvik cache in recovery and then reboot. . .

PHone not booting

I have Chinese Phone Touchmate JY131C - T3000
Android 4.0.4
Dual SIM
I have installed new fonts (phone rooted). But after reboot phone did not boot up. only shows the ANDROID logo.
They I restarted it to Recovery Mode. I can see following options;
Android system recovery <3e>
Android system recovery utility
reboot system now
apply update from sdcard
apply update from cache
wipe/data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
backup user data
restore user data
I tried all of these options...nothing has worked for me. I have downloaded some ROMs and rename it to update.zip and tried to install but it didn't work. it says Invalid OTA package, missing scatter. Update.zip is not correct.
Even it wont work with SP flash tool
Please help

I have messed up my Kenzo pretty bad and now i dont have any recovery or fastboot.

So i was happy using a kenzo with unlocked (unofficially) bootloader.
i had followed this guidehttps://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/how-to/unlock-unofficially-install-zcx-twrp-t3586778
So i had not rooted the device but just unlocked to use lineage os 14.1
i wanted to record internal audio and so tried to root with magisk. i took a backup using TWRP ZCX on an OTG USB.
successful!
now i installed iFont and installed a font.
this font made some problem in my status bar. there was some extra space above the clock, battery and all.
so whenever an app issued a notification, it crashed. even the system crashed continously.
so i decided to restore my backup.
i wiped my existing data in twrp
but the back up was successfully restored and upon system boot i saw "unsuccessful decryption." upon clicking restart, my phone would flash the TWRP ZCX logo and restart itself landing me again on "unsuccessful decryption."
so i went back to recovery and saw that could not mount /data.
so i did this:
My solution is simples. but you will LOSE EVERY FILE on userdata.
Step 1: Install TWRP
Step 2: Go to Wipe box
Step 3: Select Advanced Wipe
Step 4: Check "DATA" and tap on "Repair or Change File System".
Step 5: Tap Change File System
Step 6: See original format on file system (In my S6 is EXT4). So turn to other and switch back to original
Now /data is mounted back.
from https://forums.androidcentral.com/t...y-e-failed-mount-data-invalid-argument-2.html
It helped and i could mount /data
but then upon another restore i saw the same "unsuccessful decryption."
i read somewhere that a format will wipe all encryption and i thought it might help.
i formatted all the boxes (including data, internal storage and system)
then did a system restart from TWRP
now im stuck with mi logo and i am unable to enter fastboot and recovery.
HELP ME!

Don't go to advanced wipe. Selecting parttions doesnt format it. It only wipes.
Wipe and format are 2 diiffrent commands.
There is an option called format data in twrp. Click format data and type " yes " to format data. It will decrypt the data and internal storage.
First format data (must do)
Then wipe data reset
Flash rom
Flash gapps
Reboot

Wipe rom after wiping everyrging in recovery

Hello, i want to decrypt my phone and need a bit of help. i saw that i need to wipe and format daata to decrypt my phone. what i am not sure about is if i wipe everything in the recovery is the rom i used before still on the phone or do i have to reflash it?
You are most likely using TWRP recovery. To decrypt your phone, boot into recovery, then press wipe. Select "Format data". Type "yes", as instructed to do so. At this point, your internal storage will be wiped, so make a backup! This will NOT wipe your ROM (you delete it, if you wipe your system partition). Instead, it will wipe your data - just like a factory reset.
After this, I do recommend you flash DFE (if you are planning to root your phone, first install Magisk, then DFE). It's been deprecated some time ago, however it was necessary for my device; for the recovery to work properly.
