Best MM rom - Sprint LG G3

As of right now, what would be the best or most stable MM ROM available for this device?

Sorry nobody chimed in sooner. I'd recommend Resurrection Remix. I never had good luck with any other MM ROM, always had data issues. I didn't explore Xenon very much but I've heard good things.

Using "Paranoid Android 6.0.1" on daily driver. Everything nice except bluetooth (problem of every non-stock rom).
Battery life is nice. Works flawless.

My choose would be Blekotas S5 Rom
Instead i suggest Imperium KitKat
The best thing? Try them both and choose yourself
base on archiport you can try this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/development/rom-ultimarom-v16-0-typhoon-t1911572
i use qs kk since couple of weeks, never have a reboot or problems, just wps isnt actually working, i think is the most stable stock porting,
I recommend qs rom with boeffla kernel 6.1 beta 3. I'm using for a few days and no fc or reboots. Also very stable and fast
My opinion Omni rom 4.4.4 Rom is one of the fastest rom i've ever seen, and i've never noticed even one unstability issue(only in an update that it has now been fixed).
This is a good choice if you like pure android and pure speed
Also give a try to enable art runtime at developer settings,it makes phone uses less memory and less battery (and battery life is extremely well)
For stock samsung TW rom, all of the roms are currently unstable builds

This is a very open ended question. What maybe stable for one will not be for another. All you will archive is a topic full of people saying "x" one is better. (Which is already happening).
Best thing to do is read up on all roms you are interested and try them out for yourself and your setup. With titanium backup its not hard these days.
As an example I use temasek unofficial cm11. I have never had an issue with it and its always worked perfectly but if you were to search the forums about cm issues you would find 100's of topics about camera issues etc.

Take a picture / record a video with cm11 and with stock sammy camera.
Try to focus video on cm, manually, and try to get good, non-grainy pictures on cm, you can not do that as good as on stock sammy camera.
I tested many many roms based on cm, and none of them got a good (for me) image.
P.S. i'm a heavy snapper, for other who take few pictures it'll do good.
Please can someone get me the quaraqumus QS-i9300-KK-v2.6 resumable link
Don't try Archiport, it works slow. i prefer QS port, so try every rom based on QS . I use clean with some addons from Bloatware.

Suggest a ROM for my dad...

My dad has GSII (I9100, the "original" S2) and it feels kinda sluggish compared to my One S C2(pretty much HTC Sensation) and it also lacks app space(I have moved all of them to SD card but still cant install new apps). Since I'm going to reinstall it I might aswell install some other ROM. It needs to be almost fully stable with all the features working and it would be nice if it had touchwiz(my dad isnt a power user and doesnt like to adopt to new things). I don't know how much faster non-touchwiz ROMs are so you can suggest some of those too. Also I don't really know yet how to install custom ROMs on GSII except for the stock one but I'm sure I'll find info on how to do that. Oh, performance and battery life should be balanced although my dad has 4 batteries
Thank you for your help!
EDIT: after some searching I have realized that 95% of roms are without touchwiz... So just suggest any ROM that is stable and smooth

Hey!
To root your phone, head here: http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/galaxys2-i9100-root-android412-jellybean-install-clockworkmod-445008
1. Neat ROM: is perhaps based on Touchwiz. Also, it has had a huge support. So, it should fit your Dad's expectations.
2. SlimSaber 4.4.4: I guess pretty much the best non-touchwiz ROM for the S2. And stable as well!
3. Go ahead and try out Lollipop ROMs as well, although they are still under work and can have some bugs: CM12.1, Resurrection Remix , BlissPOP, SlimLP and many more.
Hope this helps.
Regards.

Try http://www.cyanogenmod.org/, that's how i started with custom ROM's, they have "idiot friendly" way of installing their ROM, you just install app form google store and follow setup proces, really easy. Very stable ROM also. I still use Cyanogenmod, bus some unnoficial lolipop version. I recomend it!
Slimsaber 4.4.4 by fusionjack. Would recommend it to anyone on XDA and to friends and family.

Best 7.X rom?

Hey guys, so i've been seeing ALOT of new 7.x roms coming out this week, and this is really confusing me, there are so many options right now im just completely unable to choose one.
Im currently running with Ashwin's 7.0 Rom but i am always looking for new options.
Any one who has any idea which ones are worth looking into? Most of them all seem good.

Tesla!
Tesla-N, Beanstock, Xenon, AOISP, Aosp.. Both CM14 ROMs need a lot of work still.
I have to agree with the two above.

Omicron Technics
Thanks for the info guys, anyone know if any of these can be dirty flashed over my existing ROM?

All of them can be dirty flashed required that you have the right bootloader.
Dirty flashed being that your flashing the same ROM that's currently installed without wiping. Sometimes good for updating but clean flash is always suggested.
I've tried Tesla N but I usually get System UI stopped. Now I'm using XenonHD and it's working fine, only torch tile in quick setting is not working, and camera takes 10 seconds to start after restart (2 second the next times).
I tried 3 different ones from local devs, the best one, fully workable and ready to use is XenonHD. Thanks to it's dev!
XenonHD for me its more stable then cm14
Just a quick update y'all; im currently running Dirty Unicorns (there was a new version yesterday, 20.11.2016) and it is working flawlessly so far. Thanks for the help though!

For me, XenonHD doesn't work well. It lags quite a lot. Like the frame drops are significant. Maybe it's at like 10 or 8 fps on XenonHD. But I have had no problems with TeslaN 3.1. Except for the fact that it is a bit laggy, like whole switching from one app to another, it takes quite a lot of time

Nougat is still in it's infant stages also seems like majority of people looking for battery over performance. Look into Kernal Auditor helps adjusting for your liking. Custom kernels like Heliox, Arsenic and Black reactor might give you even more options for tuning. I found all of the Nougat ROMs to be quite good considering we don't have official support.

For me the most stable and functional CM ROM is the 'CM13 LeMaX 2 TeaMSpaiN RevolutioN' ROM. I've been using it since Xmas day with zero issues so far. There's also the 'Unofficial LineageOS' (CM14.1) ROM in mid development. I'm just about to try it. According to the OP everything works except for IR and the camera. No camera is a big problem, so I'm on the TeaMSpaiN ROM until they (hopefully) sort it. There's the 'CM13 MaX2 S19 UmBreLLaTeaM SpaiNTeaM' ROM. Slow motion issues and no IR. There was also one other CM13 I saw in the ROMS section. It was unnamed. I never checked it out.
The TeaMSpaiN RevolutioN ROM is likely the best atm. It benched just over 144k in AnTuTu, and it's stable. Not one FC for me so far. I haven't got into Xposed with it yet or tried tons of apps, so I'm sure there's some bugs. For general use though, I see no point switching unless they get the camera working in the 7.1.1 build. Hope that helps.

Just to let you know, the LinageOS build did not work for me last night. It sounds like you're comfortable flashing, so it shouldn't be a problem for you, but just a heads up in case it's your daily use device and you need it to work. It looks like cr3p is actively working on it though, so I do hope to see it become a solid platform.

I was a user of official mokee ROM from ffboy, the development now is stopped, it has a bug that is a no go for me, when Bluetooth is enabled the wifi stop working. I prefer a build with precompiled kernel from Teamspain or Umbrella, they are more stable.
That bug was there from the start, but it's true there is no development for our device

When I posted this I had done a full wipe of data and cache and flashed the LineageOS Unofficial clean. The result was about 2 minutes of boot screen followed by a solid black screen. When pressing buttons I could get a "Setup Wizard isn't responding", with options to wait or close. Either option resulted in black screen. I left the phone on during the day today, and several hours later I checked it and got the setup screen! I finished setup and it is now working. :good:

Mokee is it's own OS. Not CM. If you're talking about the best ROM out there, I have no idea. I'm not completely new here (I try and search for answers, so almost never post), but I haven't been here for ages. Especially here in the Le Max 2 forum. I didn't hate EUI. There were a couple of things I liked, but CM13, stable and benching over 144k. I'll take it. For now anyway. There's a fair bit of fighting in the 7.1.1 ROM thread, so who knows if they'll work it out. They owe us nothing though, so we wait.
The question was "what is the best CM based rom?"
Mokee is CM based. Nevermind, I'll head to the lineage thread to see the fighting going on there ?
Edit: no fighting, very peaceful out there ?

My bad. Yeah it did seem to settle down. ffboy left officially so there wasn't really any point going on. A little back some guy claimed to have, as one member put it - 'the cure for cancer, but couldn't tell us until he'd spoken to his priest'.... heh. Something about him or a friend working with Qualcomm processors, but signed an NDA. Sounded a bit off. Who knows. I'm using Dual Boot Patcher to see what's out there. Great tool. Can try (edit) LineageOS, and quick switch to CM13 if I need the camera (unless it's a fast UFO sighting). Or whatever ROM you like. The only limit is storage.
Yup, ffboy was a very capable dev. He was able to port CM, MIUI and H2OS in very short time and was working on cm14 aswell.. well, let's wait and see

Cool. I'll have to get in to Xposed. The fingerprint feels like a memory thing to me. If you leave the phone for a while the first reads is slow, but straight after it's fast. Like the print images aren't cached. Doesn't bother me. It is a minus, but some reviewers are so spoilt for choice they make it a bigger deal than it is.

I still haven't tried the Mokee ROM. Something about a bot updating it worries me . If you think it's good, no harm in trying.
Edit : The FP speed in TS13 is confusing. Kinda random. Just used it now to start installing Mokee and it's near instant. Hadn't used the phone for hours. Go figure. The only constant is that it's always quicker after the first time.

Maybe thats because your system language is set to english? I read somewhere if you switch to english ( I have absolutely no idea why) it would work better. I tried, deleted all FP then switched to english, registered new FP and switched back to my language and it "seems faster".
Lost track of that ir patch (install via recovery) though.
Just tried Mokee. Don't really see anything special compared to CM, and multiple benchmarks put it a little under the revolution ROM. Also, it wont even pick up 3G on one of my sims, let alone LTE. Anyone know what the differentiator is between ROMS? I don't really like EUI, but it instantly finds LTE. The revolution ROM is kinda stubborn. It see's the 4G provider, but fails to register if I try immediately. I've worked out if I just wait a few minutes before choosing it registration works. The Lineage ROM picks up LTE fine like EUI.
Side note, for those who wanna try out dual/multiple OS. Turns out ROMS don't run slow on the other slots using Dual Boot Patcher. I had one of the bugged (slow) Lineage releases. I have 4 other ROMS installed atm. All work as expected and run at full speed. It's awesome and easy. Patch, flash, setup ROM. Then to switch, use the app or the DualBootUtilities zip within recovery. Reboot, different OS. No more 'which one do I pick?'.

I also agree. I am fairly happy using modded stock eui ROMs (I mostly use Cuoco92) but would be great to have a supported custom M ROM option again. The N ROMs have far too many compromises for me.
