Hi everybody,
I have an LG G3 running Cyanogenmod 13 with TWRP installed. A few weeks ago, my phone always crashed at random tasks and it wouldnt boot up on the first try. The crashes got more and more. After some time I set my phone on performance and I found out that by accident the 3rd core was deactivated, I had no problems from then on except when I had to boot it up. Because setting the phone on performance didnt always work I deactivated the core manually. Yesterday I shut down my phone because it was laggy but it didnt boot up again and the furthest I got was to the SIM PIN screen. Luckily I was able to get into TWRP where I tried to install the system again because it helped sometimes. At approximately half of the progress a green screen appeared (not the first time) with the option to boot into Download mode or to reboot. However, I still can boot into TWRP (sometimes) but it always crashed. Any idea how to deactivate the 3rd core using TWRP or how I can fix my phone on a different way. (Installing a custom kernel?)
Thanks in advanced

Hello everyone!
I have a Lenovo a820 with Lambda rom 2.4v.
I'm using it for a couple of weeks now with this last version, and everything was fine, until suddenly it froze for a while, I unplugged the battery and plugged it again, and what I notice was that the phone restored itself to when after I installed the rom (meaning all of the apps were gone).
So I tried going into Google play, installing some apps back, and I get this error -24 telling me its unable to install the app, happened with any app I tried. so after trying a few suggestions from the internet about this error, I decided to format it and install the rom all over again.
I go back to recovery mode with CWM, try to install the lambda rom like I did before, and in the middle of the installation it reboots and gets stuck in the "lenovo" screen like when you boot it. so after waiting for a long time I unplugged and plugged the battery again, went through the procedure again this time it installed it 100% rebooted so it would boot with the mod, and again, it freezes at "lenovo" start screen unable to boot.
went on recovery mode, formatted system, data, emmc, everything... I think that's the issue here. but im not sure.
After that, tried to install again with the same problem.
The problem now is. it won't even start I press the on/off button to start it normally, and I dont even get the "lenovo" screen, I tried going into recovery mode and no luck.
It's like the phone is dead! Although I have another Lenovo A820 and I tried the battery, and its 60% so that's not the battery.
Do you guys know any tricks? or any tools that I could use to get my phone running again?
I would appreciate it very much, any help you can give.
Matt.

Sent from my Moto G
2 days ago my phone went from running perfectly to turning off and getting stuck in a boot loop, I'm assuming it had something to do with supersu updating because i noticed a popup about the binaries needing updating before the crash. I couldn't load recovery (would show team win logo then reboot) but i could load safe mode, i tried downgrading to lower versions of su ( i tried 2.13, 1.8 and 2.01) but that didn't work my phone would boot normally, i could access it for about a minute then it would reboot and do it all over again. i had originally followed this guide (URL at the bottom as i can't post links) so last night i attempted to just re do it all following the same guide. I got the recovery mode to boot and wiped the cache but i still had the same issue where i could access my phone for a minute before crashing. Now when i try to enter recovery it shows the htc logo and immediately reopens boot loader on the fast boot option. I rurally don't want to go out and buy a new phone so any help is appreciated. My current PC access is fairly limited but i can use one if i have to.
Also when i launched safe mode i noticed id get an error report after a few minutes, not sure if thats relevant but it never showed up when i booted normally.

*edit* i have tried searching for similar threads but i think i will have a better result if the replies are directed towards me directly
Thats weird. Ive never seen this issue before

It works for me.
The phone is rooted and has a few Xposed modules installed; stock ROM.
I shut the phone down every night. When I wake up and turn it on, every now and again it gets into an infinite boot - not a bootloop (at least not in my understanding). It either stays on the LG logo or the Tmobile logo. Sometimes it boots just fine and quick, sometimes takes a minute longer. Other times I have to hold the Power + Volume Down for a few seconds to reboot it, and it boots fine after that. Yet other times, I have to get into the Factory Reset mode and rebuild the Dalvik cache form within TWRP, after which it boots fine.
The weird thing is that when nothing is changed from the moment it loops to the moment it boots fine; it may only be a reboot away. Granted, I do have (quite) a few things frozen and/or removed in Titanium Backup, but should it affect the boot?
Has anyone experienced anything like that?
Attached are the warnings and errors captured while LiveBoot was running. The lines go really fast, and Nexus 5 shutter isn't capable of going that quick (that's why you can see double lines in certain places). The phone booted after I switched to my swap battery.
Just an update, I restored the earliest Nandroid backup and instead of uninstalling these apps, I froze them in TB. No boot issues so far.
Another update. This morning the problem seems to be back, it was stuck on the T-Mobile logo. Although I can rebuild the cache, it's worse now, because I haven't disabled any LG or system apps since the last restore.
Update to this update: after the T-Mobile logo reboot, it now stuck again on the LG logo and took two 5-minute waits before reboots; it booted fine on the third (essentially, the fourth) reboot upon swapping the battery.
Does anyone else experience this?
I had installed CM13 on my Nexus 5. Everything was working fine. Today I woke up to see Nexus 5 won't even get passed to CM android logo when starting. I then tried to go to boot loader. Hopefully, it opened and I navigated to Recovery and opened. But phone also stuck at TWRP logo. I also noticed when phone starts Google logo takes a little more time to disappear than before. I waited a lot for this but it stuck forever. Actually phone was in charging but battery connector was removed when I saw it in the morning. So it kept rebooting at Google logo. I don't think that could be an issue as it already happened before.
Now all I care about is my data. If I flash TWRP using fastboot, will it work? Will my data be removed? Please reply as soon as possible. I am so concerned about this. Thank you
It might be a little Late but yes you should be able to flash a fresh recovery..without loosing your data
Hi guys,
first of all thank you for taking your time and reading through this. I'm not completely new to android, nor using fastboot and recovery. I flashed a few phones over the past years I even resurrected bricked ones. However I have no idea what is happening to my Honor 8. One thing to mention, it's the latest Nougat update, and a STOCK ROM.
It all started this afternoon. The phone suddenly reboot while using it. After that, the android screen came on, then Honor animation and.. freeze. Completely. I had to reboot using the long press method since it was stuck between the bootloader and the rom itself. It started up ok after that.
An hour passed, and while I was typing a message, it froze again. I could go back to home but the phone was really slow. After opening up Messenger again, it froze completely. Had to restart again with the long-press reboot method. It started up ok, entered the sim pin and upon entering the screenlock code it froze again, completely. Long-press reboot, again.
Since then, the phone won't boot. It gets stuck every time on "Honor powered by Android" for about a minute, then it reboots itself. I even got some weird green screen with a blue and a red rectangle, but that just stopped after a few reboots.
I mentioned that I know how to recover and fix stuff when something acts weirdly, but that's not the case, I can't do ANYTHING. No fastboot, no recovery, no button combinations, I can't even turn off the phone. It just keeps rebooting on and on, and yes, the battery will eventually die, but I have no access to any recovery options. I even tried dload but no luck.
It's still under warranty so I can send it back but I just rather fix it at home (without taking it apart), because I don't want to wait 3 weeks to get fixed. But it seems like that is the only option right now, I have never ever seen anything like this happen.
Any help or comment is appreciated. Even if it's not possible to do it at home (hardware issues?), I am really curious what can be the cause of this issue (damaged rom, filesystem permission issues?).
Thanks.
