After a strugle I managed to install CM13.0 with TWRP as recovery. Not the most easy device, but finally managed to setup everything. Now I wanted to test the IR blaster with AnyMote Universal, but I get the message: Your phone does NOT have an IR Blaster. I also tested other apps but without any result.
My question: is there a custom kernel with ir blaster support?
i've only been able to use https://github.com/lowtraxx/TSRemote but it's old and not so user friendly as sony apps. It worked for me with cm (11/12?) but you may give it a try.

TSRemote project seems to be abandoned 3 years ago according to github
The thing it was working on CM11/12 was just a luck, no more.
Hello
What about this issue. Could you resolve it?
Is it a general issue of CM13 on the xperia tablet Z that the IR Blaster does not work?

So i've installed this custom os [ROM] [N6F26Q] AOSP Nougat (12 Jan 2017) on my Galaxy s2 plus, and then my DSLR camera connection stopped working (OTG), but the os says it should be compatible with OTG, i'm not sure the DSLR has anything with OTG to do tho?. Now i have googled around and found files neccessary for it to work, installed them and USB Host Controller detected them, still not recognising the camera.
So is there a way to install what's "neccessary" from the original stock firmware into some kind of kernal or "added function" via Custom Recovery or perhaps Odin?
Thanks to anyone that can potentially help to solve this!
This is something you give up when you use aosp. The otg works only if they use the open source version which most do not.
With aosp only the very basic functions will work.
Any custom rom for s2 plus that it works on if you know?
If anyone else have the same issue, it was never a problem with the os, i've tried it on several custom Os aslong as your phone is OTG compatible it works, it seems.
Buy a new OTG Cable and it will work again, or rather say buy the adapter version of it, better then the ****ty cable version that i bought, that broke out of thin air.
Hello everyone, I have a Xiaomi Mi 9SE which is rooted and safetynet check it's Ok. I did have had installed Havoc OS 3.3 and the NFC didn't worked... I've tried to use apps to make payments with nfc and everytime it crashes... Now I've installed a Pixel Experience 10.0 Rom (unofficial) and I have the same problem.. I've searched on Google and I saw many people with the same problem but didn't got a solution so far. Do any of you have an idea on how to fix it? NFC was working ok with the original rom (now I am not able to installit again, everytime I try to flash and boot I got back to TWRP).
Thanks in advance. :good:
@beastball2
You've overwritten phone's Stock ROM., hence you've no chance to install it anymore, unless you backed it up.
This is the price that people who think they must put up a better (?) ROM than that what gets pre-installed by OEM/Carrier pay.
Hello,
I use my Mi Note 10 Lite frequently for accessing my Ant+ hear rate belt, but yesterday I got a MIUI update to 12.1.1, and since then, Ant+ is not working anymore. I already installed the Ant Pkugins and gave it all permissions I can, but still the Ant Tester App tell me that no ANT hardware is installed.
So I wonder: am I missing something, or has Xiaomi broken this with the update? Who can still use Ant? Why did it work before flawlessly?
Many thanks!
try delete data for ant services and apps
Did that work for you? I tried and still no ANT hardware found.
Hi all,
I'm considering to get a Z5C, but I need VoLTE working. I know that VoLTE is working with the stock ROM, but how about Lineage OS or other custom ROMs? Does anyone have hands-on experience with that? Any suggestions much appreciated!
Cheers,
r.
VoLTE is definitely not working on any LineageOS ROM, no matter what version you are using.
Ok, thanks for this info. Here's two more questions:
1. You wrote "LineageOS" - do you know of any other Custom ROM where VoLTE is working?
2. How about VoWLAN aka Wifi Calling: Will it work with custom ROMs?
Thanks.
r.
1. No. My guessing is, that some IMS related stuff is missing. We (unofficial LineageOS devs) have tried it, but we failed. The normal telephony function has been compromised.
2. I don't think so (see above).
I'm sorry.
Ok - thanks for your efforts anyway!
VoLTE works mostly only with T-mobile firmware.... but you have to flash this firmware... stock z5c dont support this.... if you flash it "with your country local operator firmware"..... will VoLTE work...100% T- mobile speciallity....
You can flash it by yourself, but be sure you dont have phone with unlocked bootloader.... if you make it after, you loose IMEI and mobile is 4 parts only....
Thanks for that info and the warning! Did you try it yourself with LOS? I have already unlocked the boot loader to ...well, install LOS. But afaik it is possible to lock it again using flashtool. Is that what you did?
I have had many Z5 compacts.... first was with unlocked bootloader.... I did know nothing before.... so I have tried flash it..... not finished, error.... started phone, No IMEI at all.... only Wifi worked No Simcard read, so I used it 4 parts - crashed display.... and for study how to dissassamble all. It´s nice when you know how to dissassamble hole Z5 compact and reassamble new one
Since then I buy only Z5 compacts with factory locked bootloader, OEM locked, from normal users....VIRGIN phones they are perfect 2 flash.... also i have had one piece, there was Lineage os before to anroid 7.1.1 returned, opened bootloader... and it has non functional cameras and flash.... no hardware problem, it was because of unlocked bootloader and this Lineage OS. Somebody bought it from me to use it as a bike navigation
I have relocked the bootloader via Flashtool... but cameras were still kaput 4 ever.
Installing Lineage OS or unlocking bootloader can (or relocking bootloader after - I dont know) destroy cameras and flash lighter..... on 7.1.1 android. It will not destroy cameras on android 9. Fx sony XZ1 compacts..... but you will still loose some functions of cameras + codecs and so on.
If you do so, there is no way to fix it back....
Unlocking the bootloader no longer breaks the camera on Sony Xperia devices running Android Pie
Unlocking the bootloader of Sony Xperia devices running Android Pie no longer totally breaks the camera like before, but not every feature will work still.

Hello
I am using my wifes Ultra XA and found NFC doen't work. I've tried everything including Sony software repair and factory reset. Is there anyway to check the hardware of the NFC sensor. All other functions pass Sony tests
Has anyone else had this issue. Note the phone is the latest stock 7.0 ROM
