Hey guys, I'm very new to this so please bare with me.
I've been trying to flash the custom kernels on my Note 3 Pro. I've already flashed to CM13.
I tried Radon and Blaze, both have CM compatible versions.
In TWRP, it says sucessful but when it reboots it bootloops. I've waited about 20-30 min a couple times now.
Any ideas?
Hopefully you took a backup of system and boot images before flashing the kernel? If yes just restore these.
If not you could try flashing the boot image only from the rom zip.
Just try to unlock your phone with miunlock. Could be that it's locked again. I had the same situation. After I unlocked it, it rebooted

I unlocked the device bootloader via unofficial method by flashing the fastboot rom with modified emmc and running the fastboot oem unlock-go command. Everything is successfully done. Now I am a little confused about which recovery I have to flash to install custom ROMs and which one is safe for me and which one will cause boot loop problems? should i flash the safe twrp or the cofface version?

Yes you can use Alka TWRP for Backing up everything including the EFS and FSG partitions.

Do you mean, we could flash miui8 over MM bootloader via TWRP alka successfully?
First recover the backup you had taken before flashing the mm rom then clean flash the MIUI 8.

I didn't restore any backup since I do not have Miui backed up previously all I did was flashed the fastboot Miui8 rom via miflash and went successfully without error so I proceed immediately to fastboot mode to unlock bootloader via miunlock and it goes 100% this time.
I want to know if my device is now considered as officially unlocked bootloader or is still unofficially unlocked.
Thanks.
Yup you are now officially unlocked.
How to flash that alka twrp though? Noob question sorry.

He's wrong. You are still unofficially unlocked, unless you got an unlock code from Xiaomi and used the Miflash Unlock Tool.

hence, i already had permission granted and unlock code from miui. but during that time i couldn't unlock bootloader via miunlock due to 50% stuck isssue so i proceeded to unofficial unlocking.
Thanks for the help, I flashed safe TWRP then Alka TWRP and then successfully flashed krexus rom, everything running smoothly now.

So, if I am understanding correctly, you unlocked unofficially and then went back to the miunlock tool and completed unlocking there. Sorry, I missed this part earlier. I suppose it should be unlocked officially.
I just bought Redmi Note 3 SD. I am running the latest global stable build based on LP. I wanted to move to Global Beta Builds. I tried to flash the recovery zip using updater app. But it always showed "couldn't verify update package".
So i searched a bit. And think it requires bootloader to be unlocked first. But I have some doubts :
1) After unlocking bootloader can I flash global beta recovery rom zip using updater app ? Or fastboot is the only method even after unlocking bootloader ?
2) If I am stuck at 50% during the unlocking process, will the phone wont boot not anymore ? Or I can boot it just like it was before ?
3) Does data gets wiped during bootloader unlocking ?
Thanx in advance...

1. Any rom that supports flashing through recovery can be flashed through the recovery.
2. If you are stuck at 50% while unlocking your phones boot loader, don't worry. Your phone will boot and work just fine.
3. Nothing will be wiped after unlocking your phones boot loader, everything stays the way it is.
I hope I answered your questions

And you don't need an unlocked bootloader to flash the beta global MM ROM. You can use miflash and flash the phone in edl mode. If you take a backup in MIUI first, you can restore all your apps and data too. If you're even braver, you can replace the stock recovery image in the ROM with ZXCTWRP at the same time so you can flash SuperSU, Xposed, etc. all with a locked bootloader.
Download an older dev build like 6.8.18 which should work through the updater app, then you can go to 6.9.29 after that.

No, you don't need unlocked bootloader to flash latest Global beta. What you need to do is boot to EDL mode and flash Global Beta through MiFlash tool.
TIP Make sure fist that your device is properly recognized by your PC through correct drivers. Usually the MiFlash drivers are sufficient but I had problems with the MTP driver so I had to search the internet for this

I don't think so since your error seem to depend on the updater app, and not the bootloader
TIP If you do decide to unlock bootloader, try to unlock in your current ROM first before flashing Global Beta. In my case, I applied for permission on Day1, Got my permission on Day 3, Failed to unlock until Day 5 where I EDL flashed Global beta and I was able to unlock by then. I think I could have unlocked faster if I EDL flashed Global Beta earlier

No. Data gets wiped when you flash something in fastboot/EDL or when you wipe it in custom recovery
Other Info
ROM that came with the Phone is official MIUI 7.2.3
Global beta I flashed is 6.9.22
After unlocking bootloader, I flashed ZCX TWRP
After Flashing ZCX TWRP, I flashed xiaomi.eu ROM 6.9.29 and got bootloop. To fix this I had to flash LazyFlasher.zip after xiaomi.eu ROM and then did a factory reset via TWRP
Best Regards,
Tester

I also got the permission 1 week back. But i read that it takes usually 1 to 2 weeks to get the data updated in their databases. And i don't want to go to EDL and MiFlash stuff yet. I had bad experience with Mi3 when i used MiFlash

Hey today I unlocked my bootloader and installed twrp.TWRP worked fine but when I tried to reboot to system my phone got into a boot loop(TWRP was still working).I tried to flash it again and I didn't succeed and moreover my bootloader was locked again.
Although I have unbricked my phone, I want to give another try to TWRP . Can someone tell me why this happened and how can I avoid it.
Thanks.

Which recovery did you flash? What MIUI version are you running?
I'm not sure if you're on kenzo or mtk (forgot codename) so it's for kenzo:
twrp-3.0.M4-0.img: https://dailyuploads.net/oxkk19zuk72u
I'm using it for long time (since release), works flawless.

I flashed TWRP 3 and I'm running MIUI developer latest ROM
Try zcx twrp
I was on nitrogen N rom. Then I wiped the data, cache etc and flashed latest firmware and then flashed the Viper os and gapps. Then booted the phone to os. But it just blinks the mi logo. Even when I try to go to recovery, only mi logo blinks.
Phone is not even charging.
Only Fastboot mode wrks. But that too phone is not detecting in laptop on windows 10.
Kindly help me.
Your phone has been soft bricked and there is nothing to panic about this happens while flashing the roms as sometimes the flashing process is not done successfully or executed successfully ..So the solution for this is to flash the fastboot rom using the mi flash tool and to flash the this rom you need to open fastboot mode and then the edl mode..in this edl mode the phone will be detected by the mi flash tool and the flashing would be done ..
Refer this link for the process

Probably because you had an unofficially unlocked bootloader and because you flashed lastest firmware it is locked now. If i am right about your problem then the following is the easiest way out.

No.. Unlocked the bootloader officially. When I flashed the firmware, it might have relocked the bootloader again. And also cudnt open recovery. Either way, it just blinks the MI logo and power off.
When I tried to unlock the bootloader again officially, it stucks at 50%.
Dono wat to do exactly now.
P. S. Tried that method in that thread link you gave. It shown as success in the flash tool. Den tried to flash TWRP in fastboot, it shown as failed.

I can tell you how to check if a particular firmware will lock it. Download the zip and check if it has emmc.appsboot.mbn file. If it is there then your bl will get locked.
To flash the firmware without getting locked, you need to remove that file from the zip. You can do that with any zip app. Just select it and delete, and flash the zip?.
PS: All the above is only if you have unlocked unofficially. Else any firmware will do. Just be sure to get the latest one.

Ty bro.. Let me try latest firmware with rr final n rom.
Hey everyone! In the past, I have tried to unlock my Redmi Note 3's Bootloader via the official method (yes I have permission), and also fastboot oem unlock command. Nothing seems to work, and I am going to follow some tutorials to get ZCX TWRP on my phone. Provided it works, I need to know some things:
1. Will those tutorials (they all do same thing; flash ZCX TWRP via Mi Flash EDL) unlock bootloader?
2. If not, will I be able to flash custom ROMs like AEX 5.7 via recovery?
3. Can ZCX TWRP be replaced by official TWRP?
Help with getting rid of MIUI (and my locked bootloader) would be appreciated.
Cheers!
Same thing happened to me... I accidentally locked my bootloader while flashing with MI flash. And now mi unlock tool saying "this account couldn't be used to unlock bl" (I too have unlocking permissions ??)

Update: It works
I decided to try for myself, and successfully flashed AEX 5.7. Gapps is giving me some problems but that's probably because I installed the stock zip. Micro will probably be more stable while retaining face unlock feature. Thanks to everyone who helped, and the awesome community.
Because of error current account cannot unlock this device
