Hello guys , yesterday i purchased a lg g5 , when i played a game i could feel that something was wrong with it , searched the settings and found out game optimizator settings , i tried to set it at Base optimization but after a while it goes back to full one! I tried after a reboot same thing happened again , i dont want to disable it because resolution is too high and fps-battery will go down again , i really want that base optimization which just cuts down the resolution. Am i doing something wrong?
can yoy tell what game you tested ?

I tested it at real racing 3 and modern combat 5 which are heavy games and you need that extra fps otherwise the 2D games runs almost smooth with full optimization. The problem is that when i choose base optimization i need to go at home and dont delete this window in order to work , if i do or restart my devise or even clean ram with clean master it will go back at full :crying: might a software glitch or even a general problem need to patch it as it wont save the base setting. Oh forgot to mention i got a Antuntu 123000+ score with disabled game opt but with base opt got 134394 in summer!! I could get 141437 with air condition at 18°! There is a noticeable smooth gain in games with base opt.
I try to test psp apk and try fifa street 2 and runs as well on g5 normal about 3 fps and no slow motion

Performance isn't bad in any case , i just turn it to base everytime i do a ram clean or delete the settings window. What it did disappointed me a bit is that this phone throttles gpu really fast , i get high score at Antutu but if i look my 2nd test (garden) is lower than any other phone with snapdragon 820 thats why my device doesnt heat at all , coolest device ever by the way , but doesn't worth that performance for heat trade for me!

Having the same problem, before ics update 18 hours of good use, nowwith ICS i get 7 hours with out even using the phone
I had similar issue.
First of all you have to wait 2-3 battery cycles to run.
Then it gets better.
Other issue i had was a huge transfer of data. Over 300 MB during the night. This drained the battery a lot. It was caused by stock email app.
Still no idea how to solve that. Just installed K9 mail and deleted by account in email app.
Check yours.

Kinda self explanatory there. I use Rootdim to keep my brightness levels as low as possible and lock them. However, I'd like to be able to make them go lower. With Rootdim, my screen stops dimming after about 30...Surely, there is some sort of hack to get the minimum to be lower. And please note, I'm NOT talking about putting a dark tint over the screen, which is what Screen Filter does. I'm looking for a true way to actually lower the screen brightness and save battery life.
There are threads like this that claim you can adjust the levels, but I don't know how they'll work on a galaxy player.

Can anyone confirm any successful attempts of lowering the minimum levels? I'm on a US 4.0

If you can tell me what you do know, that would be great. I am not really familiar with tweaking around with this kind of stuff at all, but there are people on the 4.0 who are and would also like to lower their brightness.
find me anybody who will compile the kernel

Hm...Well, that's the issue...You see, the 4.0 has 3 custom kernels, and each of the 3 developers have moved on and stopped developing...So yeah... :\ We might be stuck there.
Screen Manager - One swipe to the right then click Night Reading adjust to your content. Also File browser, Task Manager, App Backup. https://play.google.com/store/apps/...mdwYy5teXdlYi5oaW5ldC5uZXQuVGFza01hbmFnZXIiXQ..

Well, we had a 4.0 dev try to do the brightness mod, but the 4.0 is for some reason very complicated concerning the minimum brightness levels.
Hi folks I have a problem with lof wifi speed. I have a 100mbps connection and whilr i connect to it with my laptop speedtest show ~100 mbps dl speed. When i connect with my old s2 speed test shows ~ 30 mbps dl speed (thats probably becuse its just an old phone and it doesnt support such speed). But with my brand new s3 I only get 1mbps dl speed, which is quite low I think (especially when watching hd youtube videos). What may be the matter? I use official stable release of cm10.2 with boeffla kernel (latest stable version for cm 10.2). I never changed any firmware or radio. May it be the cause? When i got this phone i had stock 4.3.0 rom installed on it.

WiFi performance are related to the kernel, so the answer is yes- test your device with stock 4.3, cm10.2 with buit in kernel, and compare the results

Hey, so i got games such as real racing 3 and real boxing and they both look very low detailed, yet real racing 3 feels laggy and most likely under 30 fps most of the time which is bugging me a lot. Is this usual for this phone or is something wrong with mine?
Same situation here!Playing Asphalt 8 on very low details and lag is a lot.
Me too i have flash the 2.99 and i can't play nothing is too laggy
Envoyé de mon E2303 en utilisant Tapatalk
just tested real boxing on z1 compact and it looks amazing and runs much smoother... what is wrong with m4 aqua?
maybe its the latest frameware problem
even subway surf has slight lags and freezes... is it only me?
Any statement from sony or update on the matter? I cant seem to find anything...
Hi guys,
As with any other kernel, flash at own risk. This kernel now supports both D724 and D722 variants of the LG G3 Beat, since I do not own a D724 I cannot test its kernel. I will really appreciate feedback, especially for the D724.
Today I'm introducing my kernel that I've been working on for a while now. It still in its early stages so it should be considered ALPHA.
The idea for this project started when I wanted to make changes to the kernel of the ResurrectionRemix ROM I'm building, I decided against implementing these changes since the kernel must go through the ALPHA/BETA stages and this would make the ROM unstable.
This method ensures that the ROM stays the same with a separate kernel.
RustyKernel Feature list:
GPU OC
IntelliMM Hotplug
Alucard Hotplug
Zzmoove Governor
Intellimm Governor
USB Fast Charge
Compiled with UBER 5.3 Toolchain
DriveDroid support
Note: the above list might become outdated at times, check changelog in the post below to make sure.
Code:
I can not guarantee that this will improve your device or even work on your device for that matter. If this does not improve your device, do not spam this thread.
Devices are not 100% identical and so your hardware might react slightly different to mine.
I really need to thank @thenotonly, whose github was a large component to this project. Reading through his commits helped me.

ZaneZam Profiles:
1 - for Default (set governor defaults)
2 - for Yank Battery -> old untouched setting (a very good battery/performance balanced setting DEV-NOTE: highly recommended!)
3 - for Yank Battery Extreme -> old untouched setting (like yank battery but focus on battery saving)
4 - for ZaneZam Battery -> old untouched setting (a more 'harsh' setting strictly focused on battery saving DEV-NOTE: might give some lags!)
5 - for ZaneZam Battery Plus -> NEW! reworked 'faster' battery setting (DEV-NOTE: recommended too! )
6 - for ZaneZam Optimized -> old untouched setting (balanced setting with no focus in any direction DEV-NOTE: relict from back in the days, even though some people still like it!)
7 - for ZaneZam Moderate -> NEW! setting based on 'zzopt' which has mainly (but not strictly only!) 2 cores online
8 - for ZaneZam Performance -> old untouched setting (all you can get from zzmoove in terms of performance but still has the fast down scaling/hotplugging behaving)
9 - for ZaneZam InZane -> NEW! based on performance with new auto fast scaling active. a new experience!
10 - for ZaneZam Gaming -> NEW! based on performance with new scaling block enabled to avoid cpu overheating during gameplay
11 - for ZaneZam Relax -> NEW! based on moderate (except hotplug settings) with relaxed sleep settings (to react audio/bluetooth/wakeup issues)
(since version 0.9 beta4: cpu temperature threshold of 65°C enabled if exynos4 cpu temperature reading support was compiled with the governor)
So kernel is for MM AOSP/CM roms only or it will work on LG MM stock rom?

The unavailable is bug in my new release but doesn't affect anything whatsoever.
In kernel adiutor:
If zzmoove is selected as CPU governor, it can be tuned and there's a list of profile numbers in post #3 here, the description matches the profile number.
CPU Hotplugs are tuneable
EDIT: Thanks for testing buddy

To be honest, I can't say. That pretty user dependant. But for me, I'm getting the best battery life out of:
Governor = zzmoove
Profile = ybat / profile number 2
Hotplug = Intelliplug (turn MPDecision off)
Thermal = core control on and thermal off
GPU = msm_cpufreq
