Where is the developer options to allow mock location in the hyperdrive Rom? Hitting build number 5 times does nothing, are developer options available on Hyperdrive 18.1?
Works fine for me... I'll Google if there's another way to enable

I need to disable allowing mock locations to get my mlb.TV app to work.
Aren't you supposed to hit build number 7 times to get developer options?

you should start seeing the toast messages once you hit a couple of times
I am a bit confused. Say, I wanted to downgrade from MM to LP and there is no rollback package available and even if there is, I just want to do it manually.
Can I flash boot, Cust, recovery and system from LP and then force update using three button update?
Will it work?
I don't think so, as I think, maybe I'm wrong, that the transition package includes other packages which have partitions other than the general ones like /boot, /system, /recovery, /cust you can see inside a transition package using Huawei Update Extractor Tool.

Okay cool.
I actually tried once, when I was not as wise as now, and I couldn't get it to work, it kept saying update.app wasn't there..

You can downgrade directly without transition, but from my experience it will give you a major headache. Partitions will get messed and you will have to flash in a trial-and-error several versions of img files until you finally get a workable non-bootloop LP ROM. And THEN flash a full LP ROM.

Go with the transitional package route.
If for any reason you prefer LP, then stick to B190.
But if you like MM, go for B380. The RAM management is way better than B190 and overall fluidness is incomparable. I was sceptical, but now I can't go back to B190. B380 is very close to perfection. Only misses guest mode and faster charging.

Don't know exactly what you mean by guest mode, but B380 got multiuser where you can createa guest user, but again don't know if it's that same as the thang you're referring to

In B1xx there was the possibility of assigning a fingerprint to a guest mode, so that only certain apps and features were available, with the same user. For example, guest could make a phone call, but not access SMS or gallery. It's like an automatic "hide me this stuff without even other people notice I requested so".

Please share with us how to do that. I am thinking of debrandong my device to get this b380. Would love to have this feature for my kid to play around with my phone while keeping my stuff saved...

Add these lines in your /system/build.prop
Code:
fw.show_multiuserui=1
fw.max_users=5
You'll get the Users option in Settings after rebooting the device.

I have done this and this is NOT the same! This enable multi-user mode, like in Windows. The other user will get an empty, independent system.
In Lollipop the feature was called "Privacy Protection", where you could assign certain fingerprints and PINs to a "guest" account. The guest logged in to the SAME interface as the "owner", but the owner could hide certain apps and albums that the guest could not see. And the hidden apps were really gone from everywhere, as it was non-existing. And the point is, the guest did not know about it.

It's an Emui feature, non-android standard.
If it was that simple it would groundbreaking, but it isn't.
On the other end, it's intended for multiuser purpose. For those who don't have "wife factor" or lend the phone, there's no point.

Yep, I know its a nice feature of EMUI but it's sadly not available in the Marshmallow version of it. And I didn't used it that much as I don't have any of those factors.

As the title... Is it possible to use fingerprint to wake phone without unlocking ? I have the habit to check notifications from lockscreen without unlocking the phone. But using fingerprint it unlock directly the phone
On my previous Nexus 5 I've had installed a kernel with double tap to wake feature but it seems that Honor 9 doesn't have it.
Any tip ?
Thanks
You could use the power button for this. I'm doing the same thing, but I don't know any method to change this behavior of the homebutton/fingerprint.

Yes. But I'd like to avoid the use of hardware buttons...I've read a guide that add double tap to wake features to some honor devices modifying build.prop (you must be root obviously). But I don't know if Honor 9 supports it...
Honor may add DT2W feature in EMUI 6.

Try an app called WaveUp. Set the swipe count to 1 then you just need to wave over the proximity sensor once to activate the screen.

Thanks for the tip. But I'd like to avoid to use apps that keep sensors alive. Often they cause battery drain, as honestly the developer of waveup says. I've used Gravity Box in the past but on my phones it caused severe battery drain.
I'll wait for Emui 6...

Hello @ all. I just found the Call+ option in my settings and wondering since when this option is available? Do anybody using it? I am honest, never realized that this is on my phone...... I am using Telekom/Germany on both Sims but for some reason I am not able to.use this option during a call.

Hello everybody,
I saw that Google is planning to release their new "Screen Call" to the Pixel 3 soon (or it has yet happened - not so sure) and I was thinking:
Could this feature possibly be ported to other phones like Samsung or other brands?
I already saw people replacing the IncallUI of other phones to get the Pixel look, so I am curious about this particular feature.
Basically one just need to have the Pixel 3 ROM so that he can take the APK out of it, maybe modify a bit and stick it into a flashable zip, or am I viewing that wrong?
Love to hear any feedback about whether this is possible or not.
Yes this would be awesome if it came to the note 9.

Same here I'm using pixel experience ROM on my zenfone max pro M2 . Using pix-3lify (magisk module) I enabled it and now assistant isn't audible to the other end.
I got call screen working , but the caller can't hear the assistant speaking .... I know this is a problem in most non pixel devices , BUT does anyone know how to solve the problem.
I am on Android 10, Redmi note 5 , and I changed shared_prefs flags to enable it.
Y'all should have bought Pixel phones instead of OnePlus's and RedMi's.
