Is it possible to install/root multi window function on z2 without breaking the warranty?
If yes im gonna buy z2 if no, samsung note 2014 it is.

I got multi window on my Z2 Tablet. I installed XMultiWindow and HALO))). You can install XHaloFloatingWindow instead if you prefer floating windows (Like on a computer).
Can be done via various 'xposed' modules - you will need to root the tablet

You can only have XMultiWindow or XHaloFloatingWindow, not both. But either one requires Halo))) to be installed. Either requires root and Xposed framework installed. Heres the links:

Haha too true! I sold my note 2014 for the Z2 tab and have never looked back!
Xmiltiwindow does work properly. only one window is active, other becomes blacked out. What's wrong?

Are there any easy methods to? I looked at the root forum and nothing says the f3213 can be rooted. If you wish please transfer this post over there so as to not cause confusion.
I have same model number. Just follow the tutorial on single sim. Worked perfectly for me. You will have to unlock the bootloader

No I honestly never noticed anything. Just alot of benefits especially adoptable storage. I now have my sd card as internal storage it's 128 gb plus got xposed mods. It made this phone alot better

Try enabling "OEM unlocking" in Developer Options...
I have received the camera APK from the P30 Pro. Unfortunately it will not install on my Mate 10 Pro with 9.0.0243. Somehow logical that the 9.1 apps check for target OS version.
Does anyone have an idea how to install it, and would it work at all?

If your bootloader is locked, then there's no other way to install it. Post the APK here, maybe we can make it work on unlocked devices!

You meant on locked devices? The apk won't install, so i don't think you can get it working as it is.
The camera is working, no issue so far. The interface is a bit different and honestly i didn't spotted any improvement over the stock one.

It could be possible if you decompiled it and changed package name then recompiled (and remove any checks, it should only check for 9.0 as 9.1 is still Pie, but signature could be causing it). But decompiling Huawei apks is another story.

Basically i need two folders (and its contents) , product/app/HwCamera2 and product/app/HwAOD.
Off course, this require an unlocked P30 Pro.

Couldn't they be extracted from the update package using Huawei update extractor? I guess that'd still require root access come to think of it.

Ive installed the module through Magisk on my Mate 10 Pro runing EMUI9.0 and it works but the app is now called -4.0dip ?!?!?!?!?!?!
Any ideas how that has happened?

it should not be any different from xperia 1 II since the basic platform hardware is the same
